High Reps - DOMS today, tomorrow... and beyond

Good grief!! I did most of HR yesterday and hurt like crazy today- I'm bracing for the REAL DOMS tomorrow and the next day and the next?!?!?! :eek::eek:

I got so obsessed with decorating the tree last night that I didn't take a recovery bath! Oh boy- I'm betting that was a BIG mistake!

I am almost done with the tree and will send photos as promised once I'm done!

Hobbling along now!

I did it yesterday...my triceps are all kinds of achy, I was SOSOSOSO happy when those dips ended. Phew!

IKWYM! I think that was the work out where I just gave up on tri's towards the end! I think I skipped a tricep exercise at the end completely b/c they just couldn't take anymore! :D
 
I am just able to start working out again, and I was a little worried with starting up my workouts again with Cathe workouts because they can be so hard core...but, I needn't have worried because of course Cathe's workouts always allow you to make the workout work for you. I have been doing high reps as my first strength training dvd and am LOVING it!

I hear you on those tricep dips at the end...I can barely lift my butt off the ground by the time it gets to those! Yowza. Today I did lower body blast for the first time and followed it with doing the premix where it does uppper body first - and then just stopped it when it got to the lower body (in order to get in my back) and man did I feel proud of myself all day.

I bought myself some of those furniture movers and man am I loving them! So much easier than the paper plates on carpeting which is what I used for STS. Just one more thing Cathe has introduced me to.

I am going to try intensity this week, too. Now that workout really scares me. I may just do the step and tack on the low HIIT as a way to ease myself in to this dvd.

Thanks again Cathe for these great new workouts. They really helped me get myself back working out in a safe and effective way.
 
I may have to check out the furniture mover thingies. I know I had some glider disks at some point but nto sure where they went to.

Where did you find the disks? WalMart, Home Depot??
