I found this in Oxygen mag, thought it sounded decent, haven't made it yet, but thought I would share.

Low Cal/High Protein Banana Bread (makes 2 servings)

2/3 cups uncooked quick oats

1 scoop banana protein powder

1 egg white

Cinnamon and Splenda to taste.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Combine all ingredients and add enough water to make a thick, yet pourable batter. Pout entire mixture into a well-greased miniature loaf pan and cook until the middle is set-this takes about 20 minutes. Let cool and serve.

Thanks for posting this. I knew I should have got the banana flavored BSN lean dessert protein powder, but I didn't. Might have to place an order now.

I posted under the protein link already, but just had to tell you all I just made the banana bread and it is absolute heaven on earth!:9 :9

I doubled it, so I have a bigger loaf. :7 Even Georgie my Newfie loved it.:)

Yes, it is two servings. And oh so yummy!:9 I bet you could make it with the vanilla protein powder or even the cinnamon or chocolate and it still would be terrific.

I am going to experiment with it, add some vanilla extract and maybe drop it by spoonfuls to make "cookies". I am telling ya, its good stuff...even better if you toast it.

Tneah, this recipe is DELICIOUS!!! ;-)

I just made it in a muffin tin, making four. And I used regular oats instead of quick oats because that is what I had on hand. I used 2 packets of Splenda, but next time will only use one.

I already ate two and am saving the other two for breakfast tomorrow morning. I might spread a little organic pb on them..:7

Thanks for posting this. I subscribe to Oxygen, but must have missed this recipe!

ETA: I even forgot to spray the tops with "I can't believe it's not butter" spray, as you suggested in the BSN Lean Dessert thread, and they are still FANTASTIC!!!

I bought two mini loaf pans for $2 today so I am ready for making this bread. I don't have the banana protein powder so I am going to use cinnamon roll with a pureed banana and see how it turns out. I can't wait to try this. I love baked goods for breakfast, but they usually aren't very good for me.

I just made the bread, and it's really tasty!! Thanks so much again, Tneah, for posting this recipe, and thanks, Karin, for putting those other links into a new thread! I can't wait to start trying these other recipes out!!
