Hi, new here!

Tracey M

Cathlete
Hi everyone!

I'm new to Cathe and her message board and wanted to introduce myself as I have a feeling I'm going to be spending a lot of time here! :)

I'm 28 years old and lost 60 lbs in 2005 by changing my diet and adding in daily exercise (exclusively workout DVDs). I've maintained my weight loss for a year now and my current goal is to increase my strength and cardio fitness. I think I started my DVD workout journey like almost everyone else...i.e. starting with easy workouts like Core Secrets then moving up to The FIRM, Turbo Jam, and Jari Love. I discovered Cathe in late November/early December 2006 and I'm totally hooked! I don't know how I exercised without her videos. She is an absolute genius and my new fitness role model. I find her workouts to be super fun while challenging at the same time and I want them ALL!

Currently I have a small collection:
1. Basic Step + Cardio & Weights (came with my Club Step)
2. Low Max (my first Cathe DVD)
3. KPC + L&G
4. Body Max 2 (LOVE IT!)
5. LIC (just came in the mail today)
6. SJP + Step Blast (also just got in the mail today)

Anyway I look forward to reading the forum and slowly (for my credit card's sake) adding to my collection. I just wish I discovered Cathe earlier!

Tracey

Welcome Tracey and congratulations on your weight loss. Sorry to say, but your credit card won't get much of a rest now that you've entered Catheland. You sound like you have a good collection to start off with. You might consider getting some strength series next to balance out your workouts. Just a suggestion.

I also sent you the Cathe's compendium. When the new Ultimate Guide to Cathe's Workouts comes out, you'll know better what you want your next purchase to be.

Again, welcome to the forums. See you around.

Welcome Tracey.
You'll find lots of support here and fun!

Here are some workouts to view on the clips for Fun:
1. Boot Camp/Muscle Endurance.
2. Muscle Max
3. Drill Max
4. Butt & Gutts
5. Cardio Fusion
6. IMAX2/Cardio & Weights

For me, I came one year ago last November and my collection keeps growing too. I remember Cathe from CollageVideo a long time ago but I was hooked on Gin Miller, Petra, Keli Roberts,Jane Fonda, etc. so it was a big change but a great one.
Welcome to the Forums.

Welcome Tracey! Congrats on your weight loss!! You are right - soon you'll have all of Cathe's and won't regret it! Welcome and I look forward to your posts!!!

Welcome, Tracey! It looks like you're on your way to building a great Cathe collection! ;-) I'm 29 yrs old & have lost over 70 lbs from exercising at home also.

So what's on your wish list to order next? If you're wanting to build your strength, I'd recommend the Gym Styles!!

Good luck!

Hi Tracey...congrats on your weight loss in 2005!!! Welcome to the forum! I have a feeling you might be getting some more of her workouts...:)...

Wow! Thanks so much for the warm welcome!

Jess, my next purchase is going to be split weight work. I'm debating between the Gym Style series, Pyramid Upper/Lower Body and Slow & Heavy. I also have my eye on IMax 3 for hi/low and Cardio Fusion. I'm going to use Jari Love for my total body weight work until I can afford to replace that with some Cathe total body workouts. I hope to make my next purchase in mid-February. I can't wait!

HI Tracy-

Welcome! this is a great place to keep motivated I have been visiting this forum since 1999. Cathe's DVD's are my mainstay along with running ( which I was inspired to begin from nice people on this forum)

The Pyramid series will give you great results ( with clean eating) and so will the gym styles, but I would buy the Pyramids first. There is an intense ab/core section on PUB with the stability ball that everyone should have in their collection, IMHO
