Hi Cathe question treadmill or elliptical

Hi Cathe, I plan on giving myself a new Christmas gift of a new Elliptical or treadmill. I have a treadmill that I have had for about 8 years but I think it is time for a new one. I was thinking maybe an Elliptical would be better for the joints. Do you have either one of them that you use for? I want a nice one. I was just wondering if you had any suggestions such as brand or where to shop. I have heard pro form is one of the best. I know a decent one may cost 1-2 thousand which I don't mind spending.I know you are busy but if you have a chance I would sure like your opinions.
