Hey there Bernard

Cathlete
Hi Anna, fellow Stevie Nicks fan.
Have you tried out Dynamix CD's yet? Cathe has her Intensity Series music on CD from Dynamix.
Anyway, I visited their website and seen that they have a Tribute to Fleetwood Mac CD. Like you, I love that group and Stevie, I thought I would give it a whirl.
While the group isn't Fleetwood Mac, they are very good. The girl sings very much 'like' Stevie.
I mention this because I had a great time doing my treadmill workout to these songs that I so love. Just thinking of you and was wondering if this CD might have a place in your workouts?

I was happy to see your posts. According to Cathe's new updates, sounds like your new Kickbox workouts will be coming soon. :)

Hi Wanda,

Hope you are well !!!

That CD sounds great !!!!! It reminds me of how I used to do my toning floor exercises in the late 80's to my Fleetwood Mac Greatest Hits LP (Yikes ! Remember LP's ? LOL :D ). I can thoroughly recommend Fleetwood Mac for toning exercise music ! I shall check out the Dynamix web site, I haven't looked for a while.

I'm off to see them in concert in December, they are over here then on the European leg of their tour, so DH and I are going and I can't wait. I'm trying to lose some more pounds so I can zip up my platform boots....got to look the part ! LOL And they'll raise me up nicely to 6 foot so I can get a better view of the stage :7 I never have much luck in theatres, I always get someone much taller than me sat or stood in front of me *sigh*

I cannot wait for the new Kickbox workout (I need a t-shirt with that slogan on ! :D ) - the music Cathe has chosen for the Body Blast series sounds brilliant, and I noticed Dreams is at the end of Step, Jump and Pump, so I definitely can't wait for that one ! :) (At least, I hope it is Fleetwood Mac's Dreams).

Take Care Wanda ! and BTW, how are your nails doing ? OPI are bringing out their holiday collection, called 'Holiday on Broadway', 6 new colours named after Broadway musicals, with glitter top coats :) Very nice !

Anna :)

Oooooh Anna, you are going to see them in person! How wonderfully exciting!!!! You must remember to give details when you go. What they sang, what Stevie is wearing, how you felt being able to wear your platforms... You know...all the good stuff like that.
When I used to sing, I would always try to include at least one of Fleetwood Mac's songs in the show.
I know what you mean about "seeing" the show. It never fails for someone taller than me to sit in front as well. Sometimes even wearing a big hat! LOL
Is there anyway you can fanaggle (if there is such a word) a back stage pass? Sometimes the promoters of the show give out passes. ??

I have 'My Throne For A Cranberry Scone' on as we speak. I love the British collection. Now I'll have to check out the Holiday on Broadway. They sound zazzy! Thanks for the heads up. :9

Too much antibiotics for sinus infections made my lupus come out of remission. It has gone to the skin (mostly on my face) in this flare up. Wish you were here as you might have advice on how to cover it up while in the transition process. :(

I'll join you in one of your Kickboxing days though. :9 :p

I have seen your signature, and always wondered if it meant what I thought it meant....i.e. Stevie Nicks!!

One of my funnest memories is of a concert at Shoreline Ampitheatre, and being kind of on the side and near the front row. My sister and I had spent that whole summer following her on all the West Coast concerts (before having kids....actually I was barely pregnant with my first this summer)all dressed up in boots, shawls, etc.....How fun!! Anyway, we had brought an inverted top hat all tied up with long ribbons and full of beautiful flowers because we knew our seats were good for this concert and we would stand a chance of giving them to her.

We finally got to go to the stage when she was coming around. Our side was last and her arms were pretty full. When she got to my sister and I, she smiled and stopped. She turned around and passed everything she has to the guy behind her and knelt down and took our flowers!! I will get really silly here, and add that she actually TOUCHED us in the process!! She stood up and went back to the microphone for the rest of the song.....never moving past us on the stage front. At the end of the song she looked at us, all of this on the big screens, and said "THIS is SPECIAL!" in her little Stevie way. She pulled out our card that we had tucked in, read it, and again looked at us and said "Thank you".

When my sister and I are old women, wearing knee sock nylons, we will still high five each other on this one! ;-) We, too, have been Stevie Fans for a loooooooong time!

I have to add that my beautiful white sheppard that I had for many years was named Gypsy. My sister also had a Golden Retriever named Sara. Both are gone now, but still in our hearts. I was reminded of them with the thread for Barbaras yellow lab. I hope her dog pulls through!

Dani, Thanks for sharing your Stevie moments. I'm sure they are ones to treasure for a lifetime. Your hearts must have really been pumping as she read your note. WOW!
Do you remember the story behind Rhiannon? Seems like Stevie talked about it in an interview once but I forgot the all the details.
I remember she said everytime she went to the piano she would pick out that melody. ?
Sorry about your 'little Gyspy' as well.

Anna and Dani!

Wow, Dani~What a great story! How fun and a neat memory to cherish forever! Anna~Have you ever tried (don't hit me!) Revlon's Colorstay Nail polish? It is GREAT! Stays on for a whole week. It comes in a small box with two bottles, one is the color polish you apply first and the second bottle is a sealant you apply last that adds extra shine and keeps the polish on, EVEN if you wash floors! I have three colors so far:

Plumberry Ever After (My fav)
Forever Scarlet (very nice for an evening out)
Always Amber (a nice Fall color)

I am an OPI fan too, but this other stuff stays on sooo much better. Thought you'd like to know.

RE: Anna and Dani!

Hi Debbie,
Wouldn't you know I'll be going to Walmart this evening. :p I'll have a look at the colors. The Plum one sounds nice. I'll get it and think of you when I wear it. :7

Hey there!

I have the Plum Berry on right now. I use two coats of color to get a nice coverage. Hope your Walmart has them. I think you will be very happy. Sorry Anna, I know what an OPI Specialist you are. We can never have enough beauty products falling out of our closets, right???

RE: Anna and Dani!

Well I don't know how you do it because i tried this Revlon stuff and it barely lasted 2 hours and yes, I followed the instructions for application to the letter! I took it back to the store for refund in disgust!

Clare

(still on the search for the ultimate nail polish.........)

Clare!

Was it the brand that has two SMALL bottles that come in a box? I have three different colors (listed above) and not one has peeled/flaked off in under a week. Red polish is usually the worst and I figured it would. I put the red color on last Sunday and just started having some chips this past Sunday so removed it. Wondering if you got a defective bottle as I have NEVER had a polish stay on more then 2-3 days, but this stuff works on me! Maybe, try it again????

RE: Dani - what a lovely story.......

Hello !

Dani, that is a lovely story, bless Stevie's suede boots ! Thankyou so much for sharing it :D We'll be sat on Lindsey Buckingham's side at the concert, not that I'm complaining, that man can rock ! :9 Stevie is only wearing her legendary platform boots twice on stage at each of the concerts now, she sports a pair of sensible black platform sneaker type shoes for the rest of the show. And *sigh* this could be the last time Fleetwood Mac actually do a huge tour, because Stevie's been having trouble with her hips, she can hardly bend down anymore, you know how she likes to take things from her fans around the stage, hence the reason for the sensible shoes.

Hey Debbie, if the new Revlon nail polish is working for you then thats great. And I agree a girl can never have too many beauty products ! LOL :7 (I am mentally thinking about my sagging dressing table ! )I shall have to check them out when I am next in town.

Unfortunately it can be a huge hassle trying to keep polish on fingernails (toe nails can last weeks without chipping), it varies from person to person, nails can be oilier on some Ladies than on others. Any grease on the bare nail plate can lift polish x( Its always best before polish application to wipe over the nail plate with a nail wipe dampened with nail polish remover.

I'm like Clare, I cannot keep fingernail polish on either ;(

Hi Clare ! Hope you are well ?

Take care

Anna :)

RE: Dani - what a lovely story.......

HI Anna,
Thanks for the tip about how to apply polish. My polish does stay on longer when I apply it right after using polish remover. I never thought about grease and oils being on the nail plate before.
Ah..you are so knowledgeable on cosmotology and Stevie and kids and things and things.:p Miss you when you aren't around these parts.
