Hey New Yawkers: Strike?

I just got in myself guys. Luckly I have the option of taking the Metro North, but I had to pay $12 just to get on it. My job is not offering reimbursment x(

You guys are so sweet for thinking of me!!

I didn't really believe it was going to happen, but DH told me to take some work home last night, and fortunately I did. I'm remotely connected to my computer at work, including all of my programs and documents. Sure, if I worked downtown I would walk to work, but I work in midtown, the wind chill factor is like 10 today, and I just came down with a cold. So, long story short, I'm working from home today.

Our office party was supposed to be in Manhattan tonight, but maybe they'll cancel it. I think even those who make it in are going to be nervous about getting home and are not going to want to stay out late for a party.

Maybe by tomorrow, if the strike is still on, there will be some carpools and things organized in my neighborhood.

I think down deep, I never really believed this was going to happen, or else I would have brought more work home.

You guys are so sweet.

Stay warm, Nancy! I had multiple layers on (see my other whiney thread) and still froze my butt off--kind of literally, as I have now been in the office for 2 hours and my rear is *still* cold. I am going to Paragon at lunch to find long underwear!
