@@ Hey MELTERS! It's the Weekend @@

fox2star

Cathlete
Good Morning,

Here it is Saturday, my rest day, and I am up at 4:00 as usual. Kelsey and I sneak downstairs trying not to wake DH, make coffee and I enjoy my favorite time of day. I empty the dishwasher while the coffee is brewing. I have flashes of the past when I was very young and staying with my grandmother while my parents were on vacation. She would leave the dinner dishes in the sink overnight and get up at 5 am, make coffee and do the dishes. She used to say that she loved doing them while looking out the window above the sink. Her favorite time of day. (Of course she didn;t have a dishwasher)..I think I inherited that gene..:)

Enough rambling about my childhood LOL.nothing planned for today except doing house things. I think I will try to get the seasons of clothes switched, put winter stuff away etc. I don;t care if it's 20 degrees, I'm putting them away}( .

Shelly:
No I don;t have that I-Train. She is unusual at times. The one where she refers to herself as a "Follywood Girl" kills me. Sounds like you had a nice night last night. We love Tim's here in Buffalo! and yes they are starting to pop up all over here too.

Jennifer:
Cudos to you for volunteering and getting that bonus! So you decided not to get CTX?

Shannon:
Sorry for getting the names mixed up..I still don;t see how horses hooves can be "pretty" but I will believe you since you are our resident "horse" expert! ;-) Wow those rains sound horrible. Glad to hear no one was hurt.

Emily:
Good for you for upping those weights. Yes I think if you do that you have to pause the DVD. It's like someone put Cathe on "warp" speed on that one! Good luck on the 5k!:)

Robin:
I am so sorry about the shingles. I know that they are supposed to be very painful. How do you get them? Make sure you relax and follow doctors orders. It seems like you caught them really early. Good part about doing the work you do I guess.

Tneah:
I am sure that pound is just water. Yes throw away the scale, unless you can make yourself only use it once a week. Sorry your "getaway" plans were messed up but glad they are back on! Have fun! I hate people that just pop in too. Especially ones from the past that you really don;t care if you ever see!

Leanne:
Put away the scale and use the measuring tape. You are gaining muscle and getting leaner...that is what is important! A size 0??
 that is unbelievable!

Lainie:
Glad to hear the ankle was ok. Maybe you should do just yoga for a while? Not sure if step would be a good thing for you right now.

Have a great day

Deb;-)

Dang, I'm always a day late and a dollar short. I'm copying and pasting under Deb's post. Guess you weren't sleeping in after all, Deb.

Goodmorning my melty/freezy friends. Thank goodness for pain meds. I slept much better than usual last night. I woke up several times, but managed to get back to sleep with ease. The doctor mentioned that sleep deprivation can lead to shingles as well as other stress. Stress? What's that?

tneah, I'm glad you got to do the overnight after all. I hope you can get your DH's mind off business when you get down to business. Yes, shingles is viral. It's the chickenpox virus which can be dormant in your body since childhood. Sometimes, if something affects your immune system, it manifests as shingles - a painful rash on one side of the body, along with other flu-like symptoms.

Shelley, sounds like you had a nice Friday. I got home late, after seeing the doctor and picking up my meds. We ended up getting a pizza and I went to bed early with a book.

Leanne, I do have to work today. A very sweet co-worker volunteered to work for me, but she since had already covered Easter weekend for me so I could be on vacation, I still owe her. The doctor said I'm fine for work, kissing small children who have been vaccinated and hugging old ladies who had chickenpox.

Lainie, how is your ankle mending? I'm glad nothing was broken. You should be an expert on ankle exercises.

Emily!!! Have a great race today. I'll be thinking about you.

Jennifer, sorry you decided not to get CTX. It's not one of my favorites, but it is a nice set of relatively short workouts that I like to stick in my rotation (a word I use very loosely) every now and then.

Deb, did you sleep in today? Is it a rest day?

Who'd I forget. Shannon, hey, I don't imagine you'll be around over the weekend. Have fun romping with the pretty hooved horses.

I better head out. See you later. I'm hoping to come home with enough energy left to do PUB. Bye for now.

Morning all!

I have NO EARTHLY IDEA why I'm up so dang early. I think I may go back to bed for a bit.

Deb - I loved hearing your morning memories! Thanks for sharing.

Robin - I'm glad you were able to get more sleep. Pizza and an early night sounds great. What are you reading right now?

I have TONS to do today. Chores, errands, shopping. Chris is working at noon until about 9 tonight so it's a me day:) I'll fit in my run later, after I get myself some new running shoes (see yesterday's thread for my running shoes "oops").

I'll bbl to check in.

Hello Melters.

It's a beutiful warm sunny day here in MI.

Last night, I had heartburn from my dinner but I'm ready for some ACS2 today. Seville and Madrid were quite active last night too.

For me, I need longer workouts that what CTX offered. Down the road, I'm going to venture at the previews again and see how I feel. I know that Hardcore Extreme and Core Max both will challenge me, and that's what I need.

Shelley-enjoy your "me" day. Why are you up so early on Sat?

Robin-Hope you feel better.

BBL

Hey All.

Happy Saturday everyone!:)

I cannot sleep in either. I get programmed to get up at a certain time and there it is, even on weekends. But thats okay, have lots to do today. We are going to the hotel later on today, the company that was supposed to drop by yesterday is coming over this morning instead. Sheesh. Its my DH's friends daughter and her best friend? Weird to me, they haven't seen each other in 20 some odd years, and his daughter wants to drop by. Mitch says its a "southern thing". Well, if you ask me, southerners are much to nosy and neighborly. I am with Shelley, I am NOT into the social thing, much preferring to keep to myself. I am great with people, I just don't like having to be "on" like that all the time, which I have to do, given all the people coming in and out of our home an a constant basis. Small talk sucks.I prefer having one close friend, over a smattering of "small talk" friends anyday.

Deb, I enjoyed your grandma story too. Have yourself a great weekend.

Robin, pizza does sound nice, rest and relax this weekend and hopefully those shingles will be gone by Sunday.

Shelley, get some running shoes already! That is horrid you have been putting in the miles with the wrong type of shoe. Have fun shopping.

Jennifer, enjoy your sun this weekend, we are having the same here in Vegas.

Hi to Shannon, Lainie, Emily-run, Emily run! And to Leanne...

Happy Saturday, everyone!

I'm with you early risers, although I did actually manage to go back to sleep until 6:20 after first waking up at 5:00. Today is Clean Max and Laundry Max (which I already got started), and then I'm going to try Amy B's In the Ring for the first time. Wish me luck!

Last night was yucky. Thursday evening, we had some of my DH's friends over with their wives since one of DH's oldest friends is moving to Ohio for work and we wanted to have a little get-together before they moved. (I had been at work for 12 1/2 hours that day, but we were hosting since our house is located in the middle from where the other two couples live.) Whenever we get together with these two other couples, my DH always "teases" me afterwards about how I talk -- that I use too much slang and use "like" too much. So after they left on Thursday, he was teasing me again about this, even though he knows I'm sensitive about it. Well, yesterday (the day after he'd been teasing me) when he got home from work, I was telling him how I called my Dr.'s office b/c my chapped lips have been so awful lately that they've been bleeding. I was in the middle of telling him how incredibly self-conscious I've been feeling the last few weeks while teaching and how the nurse I spoke to yesterday morning told me I need to drink more water when I'm at work since I sound dehydrated, when he started making fun of this smacking sound I end up making when I'm dehydrated. I totally lost it and had a meltdown and started crying like crazy. DH really is a sweet guy and usually is sensitive and sweet -- but, c'mon! I told him that I'd stop talking altogether, if that would make it any better. Ug! How can men be so insensitive sometimes?? Sorry to vent, but it was just so upsetting!

Deb -- I just love that story about your grandmother! What a wonderful way for her -- and you -- to start the day.

Robin -- Glad to hear that you slept better last night, and that you're OK to go to work. Don't overdo it today!

Shelley -- Did you get back to bed this morning? Sounds like you had a relaxing night last night! Can you still try to do fun things that *you* want to do this weekend and that don't involve too many errands? Hopefully getting those new shoes will stop that hip pain you've been having. Is it still bad?

Tneah -- How are you doing today, chica? Did those old friends of Mitch's stop by? It sounds like writing that thankful list was just the thing to do to take your mind off of all this stress you've had lately! Hope that that company doesn't stay too long today! I'm with you on hating the small talk. It sounds like a few of us are definitely introverts! How great that you'll be able to do your hotel plans after all, even though the work situation sucks. So are you going to be selling your boat then?

Shannon -- How are the horses doing? Will you be taking a break from the computer this weekend? And how has your shoulder been?

Lainie -- How's your ankle doing? Any better today? Any plans for the weekend?

Jennifer -- Glad to hear that it's a sunny day for you! What great news that SNM is getting their glitch corrected. So did you say that you re-ordered CTX or got something different?

Emily -- We're sending you all our vibes for a great race today! Keep us posted on how it goes!

TK -- Hope that you're not overwhelmed at work again!

Oh sweetie! You poor thing Leanne, I hate it when men are insensitive. Mine does that crap too. Only he likes to sit me down and read me the riot act on "things" I am doing that he feels are "ruining" my skin, my body, etc,,,and he loves to comment on the way I dress which really pisses me off. What, has he suddenly morphed into Versace overnight?:p

I know your DH didn't mean to hurt your feelings though. And here is a big ole ((HUG)) to you. Now about those chapped lips.

I get these little cracks at the corner of my lips every so often, very dry, and then they bleed, ouch. I did some research, and come to find out(this was confirmed by my dentist as well) that it can be caused by not getting enough riboflavin (which is a vitamin B source) in your diet. So, up that supplement, go get some at the health food store. My sisters have lips that crack and bleed too. It can be painful. I am constantly smearing Aquaphor on mine, if there isn't lipgloss on my lips, its Aquaphor! Have you tried that? Udder balm is supposed to be another good remedy, although I wonder about the camphor oil in it, it just might sting too much.Another goodie is called "Glam Balm" which is wonderful stuff, along with Elizabeth Ardens 8-hour cream/emollient. Check those out.

Okay, the wind was sorta taken out my sails regarding our little hotel stay, but I am bound determined to make it a happy day regardless. And yes, I think alot of us are introverts, which is why these message boards are so wonderful. But I think meeting all of you in person would be awesome, although I would probably be a tad bit shy at first.;)

Oh, Tneah, you're such a sweetie! :) Thanks for your kind words! I'm so sorry for you, too, that your DH has been on you lately! What do you think is causing it? Do you think that he might be feeling a bit jealous about how amazingly HAWT you look? }( I hope that tonight is extra-special and wonderful for you two! Just get those two visitors out of the house as soon as you can (can you maybe tell them that you have *really* early lunch plans if they're coming in the morning?), and then bust out that wig and those shoes for your hotel stay?! You and DH need a nice night to yourselves!

You know, I'd read about the Vit B deficiency, and I think that I may need to take a supplement -- thanks for the reminder! I also use Retin-A every other night (which I've now been alternating with my wonderful new Stivectin -- thank you, thank you again!!!), and I read on-line that that could also creep down into the corners of your mouth and cause the bleeding. I've been trying to just use the retinol on the top part of my face, but I may give it a rest for awhile. And thanks for the info about the Aquaphor and the other goodies to try! The nurse yesterday said to use plain ol' petroleum jelly, so I've been slathering that on, too.

I know -- it would be so fun to all meet in person! I bet that many of us are drawn to these boards since we're shy! ;-)

Hey again!

Leanne - I'm so sorry that your DH was teasing you last night. Sometimes guys just don't GET when the time is right for teasing and when it's not. Chris was being a jerk last night - I can't remember what we were talking about but he was being so incredibly condescending. I looked at him and said "there's no need to talk to me that way" and he just looked away. He was much better this morning. And I'm constantly putting stuff on my lips. If it's not lip gloss, it's Labello, which is now made by Nivea.

I did go back to bed for a bit, but the dogs wouldn't let me sleep. So far I've dusted the bedrooms and the main floor, taken the dogs for a long walk, done two loads of laundry... Now I think I'm done with chores and I'm going to go get some running shoes!

Tneah - I'd probably be shy if we all met too, believe it or not. Good for you for deciding to make the best of the day!

Hi Melty friends. Sorry I've been away for a couple days but between work and social obligations it gets hard to find time to get in here to post. This morning I've had my two coffees and oatmeal so now I'm plotting what my workout will be today. I've totally gotten out of the habit of making a monthly rotation. I must get back on track with that.

Deb: We had a Black Lab before our current dog, so someone gave us a Black Lab doormat as a gift. I had it out on my doorstep for about 3 weeks and it disappeared. We never did find it. Glad you found your flag though.

Shannon: Hope all that rain didn't dirty your horses pretty feet! I thought of you yesterday when I was hearing the news about the storms in your state. So glad you didn't get any damage from it.

Lainie! I'm glad your ankle isn't broken or anything. I did exactly the same thing on the boat a few years ago. I was carrying two martini glasses down to the galley and thought I was on the bottom step when I wasn't. My ankle sprained (and I broke one of the martini glasses! Oh no!). And no, I hadn't been drinking the martinis. I was making them for friends.

Emily: Hope your race went well!

Leanne: Your comment about the size 0 jeans sounds like your mind hasn't quite caught up with your body yet. It will take a while to mentally adjust to a weight loss. After losing 50+ pounds it took me almost a year to consistently recognize myself in the mirror. Weird, but true. I hope your DH has apologized to you about being insensitive. I don't think DH's always intend to be mean but sometimes they go over the line when they think they are being funny.

Jennifer: You'll enjoy HCE! *insert evil laugh here*.

Tneah: Ugh I hate it when people just drop by. Even worse when the 'drop' by without calling first! People don't do it here at my home but we constantly get it at the boat. Our friends in Florida have the same problem too. BTW, I got your package. Thanks so much! I haven't tried any of it yet. My poor old skin needs it though.

Shelley: Have fun shoe shopping! Who won the scrabble game yesterday? My mom challenges me every so often and she beats the pants off me 90% of the time. She takes no prisoners.

Robin: Sending healing (((vibes))). Do they have chicken pox vaccinations for kids now? That's no help for us, but I wonder if chicken pox and shingles will be a become a thing of the past like some of those other childhood illnesses that we had to deal with. It's scary to think that the chicken pox can come back to get you again later in life.

Well I gotta get up off my butt and get my workout done, then start some yard work. DH has been rebuilding our deck so I haven't been able to start my veggie garden (garden goes around the deck). I'm so behind! I might have to skip the snap peas this year if I don't get going soon.

I went to the optometrist this morning and ordered new contacts and new glasses. I haven't had new glasses in ages. Of course, altogether it cost 760 freakin' bucks even after insurance, so I guess that's why I usually just get the contacts. I'm pretty darn nearsighted. I also had my eyes dilated, so they're all weird and burny right now so I can't write long. I hope to bbl after they're normal again. Good thing I'm a decent typist and don't have to look while I type (hope there aren't too many typos because my eyes are closed).

When I get my new glasses (in a week or two), I will share pictures. They're blue with little rhinestones on the sides. Bling!

I got new shoes, I got new shoes!!!! I'm very excited. And it's absolutely beautiful here, so I might just run OUTSIDE this afternoon! That'll be so weird.

TK - it's always so nice to see you here:) I can see how it would be easy to fall out of the habit of morning workouts, but I just love them so much because it means comfy clothes and no rushing around later in the day!

Lainie - yay for new glasses! They sound cool. I can't wait to see pics.

I also got a new leather ottoman/storage bench thing for the living room/front hall area. It needs either a substantial mirror or a striking piece of art over it. My sister gave me a gift card for a decorating store for Christmas, so I guess I'll go check there and see what I can find!

Shelley -- Hooray for the new shoes and the chance to run outside!! What kind of new sneaks did you get? That ottoman also sounds cute! Keep us posted on what you find at the other store! Sorry that Chris was being a jerk last night, too. What is it with these men?! I wish we could get Labello here in our drugstores, but I've only been able to find it on-line, with expensive S&H. I'll have to look some more.

Lainie -- Your new glasses sound so cute! The cost of glasses (even after insurance) is always so shocking!

TK -- Sorry that work has been so much . . . work! That veggie garden sounds so wonderful, as does the new deck. You should post some photos when it's all finished! I knew you had lost a bunch of weight, but hadn't realized that it was quite so much. That's fantastic!!!

Hello everyone. I'm back. My eyes are still a bit freaky, but a little better so I'm going to try to post again.

Here's a pic of the frames I picked: http://www.go-optic.com/viewframe.asp?id=21311&x=2&page=DFRAMES

Deb, I loved your description of your grandmother doing the dishes early in the morning. I remember in college I was a waitress for a while at a barbecue restaurant. It was not the greatest job, but my favorite part was getting there before it opened and cutting up the lemons we'd put in the tea later. The smell of lemons still reminds me of that time. I haven't figured out yet what I'm going to do about exercise this week. Today I was supposed to do another Jari Love workout. Since my eyes are wigged out after dilation today, I figured I'd make today my rest day and work out tomorrow. I might still do Jari Love then, but just the upper body.

Robin, glad you got some decent sleep last night. I'm having a bit of trouble because of the ankle bothering me. I also had these weird dreams about traveling to parallel universes.

Shelley, congrats on the new shoes. I love getting new shoes. I hope it feels better to run now.

Jennifer, sounds like the weather is finally getting better for you!

Tneah, glad you get to go out tonight after all. Good luck with the socializing in the mean time (you're probably already done with that by now).

Leanne, the ankle is slightly better today but still hurts. I can hobble a little more quickly, at least. My only real weekend plan was our trip to the optometrist today. Now I just need to plan how the heck I'm going to work out in the coming couple of weeks with my ankle all messed up. I'm sorry about the tough time you had with your DH teasing you and with your chapped lips (ouch!). My DH is often critical--sometimes teasing and sometimes just seriously criticizing. He's just a sort of perfectionist and sometimes seems to demand perfection from me (but I'm more of an easygoing lazy type, so he doesn't get it). I've gotten better about not letting it get to me, but sometimes it still does (especially if Aunt Flow is visiting).

TK, good luck with the gardening. I haven't decided if I'm going to do a veggie garden this year. I always have one thing that just goes nuts while other things struggle to produce. Last year I was up to my eyeballs in jalapeno peppers but had hardly any roma tomatoes.

Ok, going to go rest my eyeballs some more.

I'm back. Since Jennifer mentioned Hardcore Extreme, I decided to do that this afternoon. What a wicked workout. Afterwards, I went right out to clean up our backyard (aka 'poopie patrol'), then cut the grass and turned over the garden soil. Funny thing, I still had on my HRM and saw that I went aerobic while turning the soil. I never realized how much of a workout gardening could be.

Lainie: Yeah my garden goes the same way. Last year the grape tomatoes were great, but my regular tomatoes were kind of disappointing. I don't get real anal with my garden, though. Half the time it looks a mess with weeds and everything but I still manage to get a lot out of it. It definitely saves me $$ for produce. I don't know how you read anything with your eyes dilated. I'm practically blinded for hours afterward. Sometimes I wonder how I can safely drive home afterwards.

Shelley: Enjoy your run this afternoon (especially with your new shoes!). Hope those'll fix your hip issues. If it's still nice here tomorrow I might just run for my workout.

Leanne: I am a new convert to petroleum jelly. My dermatologist told me to put petroleum jelly on my eyelids every night before bed. It has completely healed the dermatitis I had. I just wish that I had figured out on my own that a $1 pot of store brand petroleum jelly would've fixed my problem instead of spending $90 of co-pays for the Dr. to tell me!

Well DH still isn't home from work so I gotta figure out what I'm going to do for dinner.

I'm back. Gosh, was it busy at work today. I was planning on doing PUB when I got home, but ended up with In the Ring instead. I thought it would help blow off steam better. I felt pretty good most of the day though. Except when I reached to far forward and fell off my wheelie chair. Duh!

Shelley, I finished Persuasion last night. I'm not sure what I'm reading next. I got a couple books at the library and I'll have to see what strikes my fancy. Yay for new shoes and nice weather. Did you run outside?

tneah, we live far enough away from most of our friends that hardly anyone ever drops by. The only friends that do are almost like family, so it isn't a problem. Besides, they often stop when we are away and leave nice things like flowers.

Leanne, I'm so sorry about your meltdown. Why can men be such idiots sometimes? I've heard that you can develop a dependence on lip gloss if you use it all the time. Myth? I have a bigger problem with cracked and bleeding fingers in the winter, since I have to wash my hands so often at work.

Lainie, cute glasses. Be careful working out.

TK, yes, there is a vaccination for kids these days. That's good news for Greyor. The doctor said there is also a vacine for old folks, since you are at increased risk of getting shingles again if you've had them once. They suggest it at the age of 60, so I have a few years to wait. It's been too cold here to think about gardening. I'm only doing tomatos and green beans this year.

I agree that meeting the bunch of you would be awesome. Too bad we all live so stinking far apart. Meeting Shelley was so great we actually did it again. And again, I hope. I was fortunate enough to meet TK and Emily at the RT too. That leaves only a few of you melters left to meet!

Hello Everyone.

SNM(Nancy) straightened it all out with class! CTX is no longer on order, it's HCE and CM to challenge me. Hopefully, it won't involve calling 9-1-1 or anything.

Today started out bad. My workout was crappy, it seemed like I had two left feet doing ACS2, and that workout I need it all together.
Then, I went to Meijer and got the wrong item. The cashier called Courtesy but no one showed up so I ran back through the crowded store to replace the item. (my first workout). Then, it got warm so I raked my yard (2nd workout, one of GOD's little miracles) noramlly on a day like today, especially the first day, I'm on the road to the beach or Detroit area.

Leanne-Hope you and your DH come to an agreement on the teasing. It's not funny or good if you're not feeling the same way. I got teased alot as a youngster and I am somewhat sensitive to it.

Lainie-How are you feeling?

Shelley-Great news on the shoes. Did you rake?

Where does everyone live? I'm in western MI. I know Tneah is in Vegas, and Shelley is in Ontario.

Good Morning all!

It's sunny here but still cold. It is supposed to get to 60 today.. I'll believe it when I see it.

I have not worked out yet, but plan on doing an I-Train eliptical circuit workout.. "I may regret that" as Cathe says! I only did this one other time and I burned the most calories ever, also had DOMS for days. It has you doing the eliptical for a bit, then getting off and doing weights, then back on etc. It is only 40 minutes long but it is a killer!

Robin:
Glad you got a good nights sleep, the other night, hopefully the same last night. Sat is always my workout rest day, and the day I do stuff around here. How did you like "Persuasion"? I am a big fan of the library, I go once a week.

Shelly:
How are the new sneakers? what brand did you get? The storage thing sounds nice, very useful too!

Jennifer:
Hope you "enjoy" HCE!}(

Tneah:
I hope you don;t post here too early! You should still be at the hotel having breakfast in bed and a good time!

Leanne:
Sorry to hear about what happened yesterday! Sometimes men don;t think before they open their mouths..I really don;t think they are intentionally being mean, they just don;t realize what our sensitive areas are. I also heard that if you use lip balm too much it becomes habit forming. A guy that used to work with me did this and was constantly putting it on. He kept Chap Stick in his shirt pocket and used it all day! I agree with Tneah, get some Vit B complex suppletments. That Retin A can be nasty. I started using it when I was doing the Dr Bauman thing and it made my skin all red and patchy.

TK:
sorry to hear about your doormat...people are so weird! Can you imagine going up to someone's house and stealing thier doormat? x( Oh I love snap peas! we don;t do vegs because we have a huge perennial garden that takes a lot of work. What kind of dog do you have?

Lainie:
Love Love the glasses! I'm nearsighted too but don;t wear my glasses unless I am driving in an unfamiliar place, or at a presentation when I am sitting in the far back..

Have a great day!

Deb

Good morning, everyone!

I was up at 5:30 this morning, so I figured I'd get up and start the day. Thanks so much, too, for the kind words yesterday! Things between DH and I are back to normal, but it still hurts a bit. Ah, well. The chapped lips are also better; I made a conscious effort to also drink a lot more water yesterday, but then, of course, that leaves me running to the ladies' room so much more often.

So yesterday I did In the Ring for the first time and really enjoyed it. The whole not-really-cuing thing still bothered me, as did some of the unsafe combos, but I tried to modify those parts that felt odd on my knees. My hips are feeling really tight, so I might try to do my Ravi and Ana Yoga Bliss Hips DVD this afternoon. Later this morning, I'll do GS Chest and Tris -- my chest already hurts in anticipation of all those push-ups! DH will be with his D&D gaming group today, so I'll have the house to myself.

Robin -- How did you like Persuasion? It's one of my favorite books! Have you decided what you'll be reading next? I started teaching Wuthering Heights last week in my British Literature class, and it's another one of my old favorites. Are you feeling better? How did you like In the Ring?

Deb -- Thanks for the kind words! Yes, I know that my lips and hands are definitely addicted to lip balm and lotion, but if I don't put them on, then it seems to make things worse. Hope you get that nice weather today!

Lainie -- Those glasses are adorable and will look so cute on you! Was it that much for just the one pair? I always end up leaving my eye doctor's office in shock about how much my new glasses cost each year, even after insurance! How's your ankle today? Are you taking it easy?

Shelley -- Did you find anything nice to put over that new storage ottoman? And how are the new shoes?

Jennifer -- Sounds like you had a hectic day yesterday with those errands and raking! Is the sun still there today? I'm located in north San Diego, so we don't get too much of that bad weather here. My DH and I lived in Indiana for three years, and that was plenty of snow for us! Sorry to hear that you were teased growing up. Isn't that just the worst? I don't have HCE or CM, but they sound tough -- in a good way!;-) How is your friend Michele doing with her workouts?

Tneah -- Did everything go OK last night? I was sending you all my positive vibes that those guests would leave early and that nothing would come in the way of your nice night! Hope it was fun!}(

TK -- Yes, isn't that funny how something so cheap like petroleum jelly can be more effective than the more expensive stuff?! How did the planting and gardening go yesterday?

Emily -- In case you check in again, congrats once again on the race! Those photos you posted were great!

Shannon -- Hope you're enjoying the weekend!

Happy Sunday all!

Leanne - I got up this morning and did In the Ring too! Loved it. Well, I only did the first 40 minutes (the first two combos and where she puts them both together with the med ball intervals) then my brain kind of shut down. I got New Balance shoes. They're my fave. I didn't find anything fantastic for the wall over the new bench yesterday. I'll keep looking.

Lainie - LOVE those new frames! What's up for you and the family today?

TK - did you run yet? I hate poop patrolx(

Robin - I DID run outside yesterday. It was fabulous! I read recently that the whole "dependence on lip balm" thing is a myth. Your lips don't have any oil producing glands, so they have no way to keep themselves moisturized.

Jennifer - I hope you "enjoy" HCE. Those are some tough workouts!

Deb - it's cold there? It was SO gorgeous here yesterday, sunny and quite warm.

Today I have to vacuum up the masses of dog hair, then Chris and I are going out to do a bit of shopping and get him a new cell phone. We're hoping to get out into the front yard this afternoon to clean up all the leaves that we didn't get to in the fall because it snowed too early!
