Help with Rotation

Stacy

Cathlete
I want to do a rotation that works legs more. I was thinking a standing leg workout and a pretty hard core floor work routine. I don't want to use floor work as just a quick add on. I want to get in a day of yoga as well. Also cardio and upper body. I want to shed some pounds so I know diet is most important but wondering if something simple like this rotation is enough cardio. I want to add that I only have realistically 5 days to workout each week. This is just a generic rotation in no particular order. Maybe alternating this somehow with another week with slightly more cardio and an upper body split? Or maybe a total body day? I'm looking for some fresh ideas. Thanks!

-Floor legs
-Cardio

Stacy - if your standing leg day is cardio (many of Cathe's leg workouts are!) - then I'd have thought that was enough cardio. You could always make changes as you go, eg adding a 10 minute 'cardio blast' to the end of your upper body day. When I want to cut fat, I use metabolic workouts - they just seem to do it for me.
So my generic 5 day fat loss rotation would be:
Cardio Legs (eg cardio leg blast, plyo legs etc)
Upper body + 10min finisher
Yoga
Non-cardio legs (I'd do a heavy leg day, rather than floor work - again, just my preference)
Metabolic

Good luck!
