Help with choreography

You gals are so friendly I thought I would be brave and ask just the silliest question - here goes! I am new to Cathe and want to know what is the difference between the up and back and the ricochet? They seem similar, but I know they are different. I am determined to learn these two moves! Thank you!

Hi Jillybean! I'll jump in here and answer since I just happen to catch this question. You are right, these two moves have a very similar rhythm and style however the ricochet moves with a forward turning motion and the up and back moves with a backward turning motion. Hope this helps!
