Due to various reasons, I have not worked out regularly in a couple years and have gained 25 pounds but I am very eager to get back into working out more and getting back into shape. Despite not working out regularly, I am in fairly good shape physically/cardiovascularly, but I don't want to start too fast and end up injuring myself - - I have had problems with knee/ankle pain in the past when I pushed too hard. Do you have any suggestions on how much cardio and weights I should do per week in the beginning and how fast I can work my way back up to 60-80 minute workouts 6 days per week like I used to do?
