My boss, who is 76 years old and had a hip replacement last Monday, just showed up at work (keep in mind that in order to get here, he had to climb three flights of stairs) in his pajamas and slippers.

I may beat him over the head with his cane before this day is through.

WTH! Why did he show up in his jammies and slippers?????!!!!! Wacko, I say....

ETA: If he's good enough to climb three flights of stairs, he can get dressed, right?

Sounds to me like he's instigated a new dress code. From hereon, all employees should come to work in pjs and slippers.
 
Oh dear! Has he lost his mind?? I am getting my own hip replaced and my doc said you need to give it at least two weeks before attempting stairs and such.
Boy, he must be quite a sight in his Pj's, slippers, cane in hand shaking it at everyone. I just got an image of an Ebineezer Scrooge type!:7

OMG! Shelley, I am just LMAO! I thought our secretary in a sweatsuit was bad.....

Before I assume this is the funniest thing I've heard in weeks if not months, is the poor fella OK? Or is there some kind of dementia going on there?
 
As a nurse, I'm thoroughly impressed that he made up up 3 flights of stairs by himself on his 3rd post-op day following a hip replacement. WOO HOO!!! Way to go, Mr. Spunky!
 
Hmmmm . . . sounds to me like someone is desperate for attention and sympathy. That is ridiculous.
 
Laura - nope, no dementia. He's getting a little absent-minded and scattered, but that's about it.

No, he's just a workaholic and thinks that we can't get along without him.

Kathryn - LOL - love the new dress code idea! Unfortunately, as he owns the company, he can do whatever the heck he wants and the rest of us do whatever the heck he says;)
