Help me snoop???

I told DH to pre-order the new series for me and that I wanted it for Christmas. BIG mistake, because now I want it NOW. I can't figure out if he ordered it for me or not. Every time I say I'm going to buy it, he tells me I don't need anymore DVD's but with a "look" on his face. The UPS man comes after he gets home, but before I do. I've snooped around the house (shame on me) but can find no evidence of the purchase. Is there anyway you can help me find out if he ordered this for me. Because if he hasn't I'll do it myself. I can't wait til December. That's 2 whole more months, and patience is a virtue that I don't have much of.

I say, stop snooping, and just learn to wait. Because, what if you DID find out that he ordered it for you? You'd STILL have to wait 2 months to use them, you wouldn't really be able to pretend that you didn't know when you open your presents, and you'd ruin his surprise.

If you snoop and find out he hasn't ordered them, maybe he just hasn't ordered them YET, but intends to. So if you get them, you'd still ruin his surprise, and then he's on the hook for trying to find another Christmas present. Snooping is all a no-win situation.

I don't know if you have kids, but we always tell kids they have to wait, not just for Christmas, but for tons of stuff. Lead by example! Just my 2 cents.

I agree with Lisa. How would you feel if the situation were reversed? I know I have a pretty tough time shopping for my DH and if he went and got something that I was planning on getting him I would be pretty upset and hurt.

I think since you asked for them for Christmas you can probably feel pretty secure that you ARE getting them for Christmas(unless your DH doesn't usually buy what you ask for)given that I think you just need to suck it up and wait I know it's tough but I think I would feel terrible if my husband asked for something that I was getting him and then turned around and bought it himself or if he went snooping to find out what I had bought him. JMO

Now Now Nan (as I shake my pointer finger at you, LOL), are you sure you reallllllly want to do that? Just think of how many additional calories you are burning up in anticipation :7 Hang in there sweetie!

Nan, I myself would snoop twice and then ask DH directly. But that's just me. }(

I'd say you're in a good spot since he gives you a "look" when you talk about it! And I think if he didn't order them, after Christmas you order them and make your DH reimburse you for the overnight shipping! }( }(
