Help me decide!

Ok, so I have most of Cathe's DVDs, however, I would like to know whether the following are good additions since I have most of her stuff already (I mean, are they redundant?):

High Step Challenge (I have HSTA already)--is it different? Is the music good? Would you recommend?

Hardcore Extreme: has anyone died from doing this yet? It looks so hard! What do you think?

Power hour/MIS/Bodymax and Pure Strenth Series: I have all her weight workouts except these two. Are these good additions? And I preordered STS

CTX: Is this good? How's the music?

Thanks soooo much for any input!!:7

IMHO, CTX is the only one you need from those you have listed. It's the most distinct in that it has 4 cardio workouts, 1 circuit workout for LB and 1 kickbutt LB wt routine (all around 30 minutes.)
The workouts are intense and fun. Easily modifiable for impact and space constraints. The choreography is very easy to follow.
The UB wt works is really good and you can do 1 body part/day or combine all 5 for a solid 50 minute routine. The 4 ab workouts are pretty varied too, but tough.

As far as the music goes, if you have Circuit Max and Cardio Kicks, it's like that. No vocals, just driving beat, kind of generic. (One song reminds me of James Bond movies!) You can hear it on the dvd snippets on this site. I'm not that into music so it doesn't faze me. CTX is very different from 4DS and I actually like CTX a whole lot more. HTH!

Chocolate IS the answer, regardless of the question.

I think the music is crucial. In High Step Challenge there is really good music and very few leg presses but it is somewhat similar to HSTA.

I would probably get Hardcore Xtreme since it mixes up the workouts and you can also get a taste of HSC. If you feel like you need more cardio in your workout library I'd go for this one.

Power Hour, etc. are great workouts but I just reach for the more current ones first due to the more up to date music, outfits etc.

Pure Strength is good but if you already have gym Stylea and 4DS I wouldn't get this one.

CTX has great workouts but I don't reach for it very often since the music is unremarkable. It's not bad but it doesn't drive the workout which is important to me. And, IMO the outfits in that series tend to blend togeter so it feels like the same workout day after day.

Hope this helps:)

I love my Power Hour/MIS/Body max DVD and my PS DVD!!!!! True, they are a bit dated, but it's nice to get back to basics with no fuss and basic equipment. I probably use these two DVDs the most and I have all of Cathe's weight workouts. And FWIT, I'm not getting STS. You might just wait it out for that one and see if that fits the bill for you, or get the others in the meantime to keep you busy! :7

I'd go for the PH and MIS dvd, and CTX series. CTX rocks, and is so much fun, and it also includes the CTX Upper Body workout, which is excellent.

I have MIS and PS and they are the best - they will never date and you will never fail to get results with them. Some of Cathe's later workouts are better sets, more equipment and more premixes but they still don't compare to the old workouts in terms of effectiveness. It goes to prove that to acheive results you don't need to spend a fortune.

I would go with PH/MIS/BM dvd and PS. PS is similar to GS, but I like PS better. Cathe uses the 8-10 reps in it. PH is also my favorite muscle endurance workout- hands down! Strength training is important, and just as important is muscle endurance. Not only are these dvd great, but together, you can make a really good rotation! I do think PS is dated as far as outfits, but the workout stands on its own. As far a music, I don't really pay attention to it, so I can't say.
