Help me decide - new step or CTX Series?

Ok - referencing the current thread re: difference between the Reebok step and the "Original Step".

I've been holding back on purchasing the CTX series. Partially because it was on back order, partially due to cost, and partially due to the fact that I have not kept to a regular work out schedule of late. I have now "earned" my purchase (by keeping to my workout schedule), but am wondering if my $$$ would be better spent ordering a new step? Like others, I have the Reebok step. Originally, I purchased it thinking I would get greater challenge/usability from the the additional height option. My Reebok step is 36" wide. The "original" step is 40". Are the extra 4" worth the $90? Or should I buy the CTX series?

your opinions, please? TIA!

I have the same Reebok step...I have had it for years. It works very well for me. Some of those crossover moves jumping over the board might be tough for me on a longer step...I am 5'4"... IMO, I'd get CTX...in fact I just did...http://www.coolsmilies.net/happy/dance.gif[/img]...Carole

I'd get CTX, then when it was comfortable budget-wise, I'd get the Original Club Step. IMO, I feel safer doing some of her moves. Pinky said it best. Just don't get me wrong, I had the Reebok step for over a year & it worked fine as long as I didn't get too dancy.

Another vote for CTX. Its flexibility and effectiveness are through the roof. You can always save up and get another step later.

I just received CTX yesterday and I did the first workout this morning. Love it! The time just flew by. I got my step at Goodwill for $3.99. It is used, but still in good condition. So I say get CTX and hit the Goodwills and yard sales!

Definitely get CTX. Then, make getting an original step your next reward for sticking with the CTX series. Having new workouts will make it easier to stick to your workout schedule because you'll be excited by the new challenges.

I bought CTX almost a year ago now and it gave me tremendous strength and cardio gains. It's worth its weight in gold!

Get CTX! I'm in the same dilemma, but I'm going with CTX. I've been wanting LL for a long time.

Another vote for CTX! I just got it and have been doing the workouts since they hit my doorstep on Wednesday night :) They are brilliant! I can think of thousands of ways to use this series and the cardio is short - sweet - and highly effective! I love it!

I got it for Leaner Legs and that alone is worth it! I love that I can go jogging for 30 mins and if I want - add another 30 mins of intense cardio.........plus Leaner legs is just terrific! I love the low ends and its well rounded, great if you are looking for leg workouts to do while freestyle training..........

Well I have to tell you I LOVE LOVE LOVE CTX express I always encourage people to buy it because it is a favorite of mine. I to have the reebok adj. step the grey/black with red reebok on top of it. I had it for a few years. I remember someone posting about there step co. vs the reebok and the impact was not as hard on the knee's useing the club step. Well I got a club step and I have to agree it is soooooooooo. much nicer on the knee's and I like it that is is bigger so you do get much more of a work out on it. I still use my reebok step with some of the BSS3's and I can tell you I just do not like it as much. So I would say get the Club step and ERJOY it with the step dvds you have now and then in a month or 2 buy the CTX express dvd:7 Hope this helps!! Good LUCK!!

Thanks, ladies. Off to order CTX now....

And Marietta - yes, I live in Kansas City (but am originally from Nebraska, so I'm a football loving Cornhusker at heart!)
