Help me change my mindset please.

I wish I could work out at night, but there's NO WAY it would work for me. It's easier for me to wake up earlier (usually at 5:00a.m.) and get my workout in. The great thing about doing it first thing, is that it leaves me with NO excuses to not workout. BUT, I never, ever work out for more than an hour on these early a.m. days.....I actually prefer around 45 minutes. I save the longer workouts for the weekend when I sleep later. And, I've also decided that it's not a "crime" to take about 2 rest days a week, or maybe even 3 if I need to. I'd rather work out 4 days a week, than not at all......and not feel guilty about an extra rest day.

Gain weight when work out too often?

Nance...you are da BOMB and you look awesome! I totally agree with you...I also gain weight when I work out too much.

Tammy and Nancy, I was surprised to read that you gain weight when you workout too often. Can you please shed some light on this? What is too often for you? The reason I ask is that I am trying to loose 7-10 lbs and am having a very hard time. I eat healthy most of the time and workout on average 5 days a week for about an hour to an hour and a half. Mind you I know that I could do better with the eating but I've definitely increased my exercise recently and am not seeing the results that I want. I do stess about my eating and my workouts so that could have something to do with it, maybe I just need to relax ;). Any thoughts?
