Help! Intensity Series Wt Loss! Now What? Cardio/Endurance/Strength??

Cathe - Please help! I am sooo confused!

Okay... I have had amazing results with the Intensity Series Total Body Blast :+ My body has shrunk in both inches and poundage!!!!

Now..my new problem is that I now have this extra layer of fat/skin around my fattiest areas (belly, legs, bottom of arms etc.) I haven't lost muscle definition... just a bit leaner. I am happy with the loss of inches and not CURRENTLY concerned about losing muscle size. Actually I can see and feel the definition more than when I started the Intensity rotation? My core is finally getting smaller thanks to these new workouts! Now my skin/fat just needs to keep up, I guess????

Since last fall I decreased my cardio and have been focusing on strength and endurance training and had amazing results.

So... my question is..... Should I start to focus more on Cardio/Fat burn for awhile so I can get rid of some of this fat? Wondering if maybe it is time to go back to some addtl. cardio?

Or do you think I should just keep doin' what I am doing since it is working at losing the weight? Maybe I should stick with the Intensity rotation for another month, then do a quick cardio focused series and then go back to S&H or something focused on strength again?

Also, any advice on what to eat to promote skin shrinkage?

Thanks in advice for any words of wisdom :+

p.s. I absolutely love your new series! I love the music, the choreogrophy, intensity, variety etc. The terminator is my all time favorite DVD! They all are soooo motivating that I just can't get enough! You are the BEST there is!

Hi

I just got the intensity series and am curious as to what kind of rotations you have been using. I really need to just get rid of these last 10 lbs!:) Thanks.

Well, skin is actually the most resilliant and amazing things we own. During weight loss, the skin will shrink to accomodate our new sizes. However, it can only do so much so fast. After a significant weight loss, it can take as long as 3 years for the sking to once again "fit" our bodies.

Keep working out, keep eating right, and depending on your body... 6 months to 3 years and your skin will shrink. Of course it's doing it all the time, it's just that it takes time for us to 1. notice it and 2. for it to be the way we want it.

I hope your right about the skin, i have had dramatic weight loss and lost alot of the ugly fat just to get alot of ugly skin.(especially in the stomach) my arms aren't too bad(alot of tricep work). i still have 50lbs to lose and i wonder how much of that is sagging skin.
