Help! I don't own CTX....

Hi Everyone!

I love Cathe''s July rotation and think it's so true that it's harder in the summertime to squeeze in LONG workouts. But.....that being said I don't own the CTX series , so can I still do the July rotation?? Eventually I want to buy the dvd ( actually I WANT to buy it now, but can't afford it with my daughters wedding next month, recent dental problems ($$$$) and many house expenses coming up) so can I substitute other workouts? I have almost every other dvd Cathe has except for PowerHour, KPC, and Ab hits.
Any suggestions?????
Thanks! Hope everyone is enjoying the 4th of July weekend!!! :D

Hi Becky,
It should be fairly easy to sub for CTX portions. I would suggest:
CTX Power Circuit (cardio only)-The first half of BC would work nicely or even the first 3 or so circuits from HSTA or HSC.

CTX Step Interval cardio only-5 intervals from any IMAX would work here, either the first 5 or second 5, your choice

CTX 10:10:10 cardio only-This one might be little more tricky b/c of the mix of cardio types, you might just go for 1) warm up and first 2 step segments from SJP 2) kickboxing drills only from Cardio Kicks 3) high low (High portion only from MIC)

CTX Kickbox (cardio and abs portion/NO biceps)-If you have KM you could do some of the shorter premixes, or just the first half of Cardio Kicks-just make sure to add on another approx. 6-8 min ab workout from another tape

CTX Upper Body-Just sub a pretty challenging all upper body workout, endurance style. Try combining two of the timesaver premixes from the Gymstyles or PUB (pyramid up only), or PP/SS has some nice upper body blasts

CTX All Step (cardio only)-Any 30 minutes of steady state cardio will do. Step Blast has a nice 30 minute step premix, or one of the IMAX step only premixes, the warm up and two step segments from Rhythmic Step, etc.
The times may be a little longer than what's on a CTX for some of these suggestions, but it will close.

Hope this helps,
Mattea

Thank you Mattea!!!!!

This is exactly what I was wanting! Thank you so much for taking the time to write it all out for me!

I'm going to finish with my s&h rotation and move on to this one!

Becky,
Glad to help! I know before I owned everything (yes, I'm now officially addicted LOL!) I spent a lot of time trying to puzzle out substitutions. OH! S&H is own of my fav. rotation, my upper body always looks so pumped after this!
Have fun!

Thanks. I don't own the CTX either and I am very appreciative for the help with substitutions!
