HEAVY weights, low reps, high sets

I would love a series that really really REALLY focuses on building muscle. Not really slow reps like slow and heavy- but more regular speed (2 up 2 down or so). Maybe 8-10 reps with 3 sets each exercise (so you reach failure by 8-10 reps). This could be a 1 body part per day series or a split series with 2 body parts per day.

I saw a request of a CTX 2 type series with heavy weights. As long as the heavy weights involved multiple sets that would be excellent. I want to put on some serious VISIBLE muscle and so much of what you have is more muscle endurance based with way too many reps for me to really go heavy. I love the pyramid series but would want even MORE exercises per body part so it would be better to split it even more than just upper and lower body.

Thanks for all you do!! I love having you as my personal trainer, Cathe. You are the best!

I agree! I like to do one body part per day but I feel limited to doing either S&H or GS and I get bored/burnt out after awhile. I will someimes combine parts from two different workouts such as biceps from PS and biceps from PUB, but it still seems more endurance oriented. I'd love a workout like you've described. PS would be great if it were a bit slower and more sets...maybe a PS #2??

Just a thought:
How about a series of 3 DVD's using the above 'one-body-part-per-day' system.

DVD 1: contains 2 different workouts each (each about 40 minutes long) for chest and back (for variety: 4 workouts total--2 chest workouts, 2 back workouts) along with one premix set up as a push-pull workout that combines both body parts (optional). (the warm-ups and stretches could be the same for all workouts, if there is a space issue here.)

DVD 2: contains 2 different workouts each for legs and shoulders (same as above).

DVD 3: contains 2 different workout for biceps/triceps (which are combined in one workout, because they are the smallest muscle groups, and are worked during chest/shoulder and back work) and two different stretch workouts (maybe 1 upper body/1 lower body and a premix combining the two).

Another vote here for serious muscle building!! I would buy it in a heart beat and it might also draw a different crowd to your workouts.

To have a series in my routine that I could do on 3 alternating days (like M,W,&F) and include heavy muscle building sets without gym machines would be right up my alley. If you could make this series using dumbbells and a weight bar along with equipment that could be easily used in the home is exactly what I'm looking for!!!

Late to the party here, but with you all on this request!! I am spoiled for other workouts by Cathe's style and would eagerly buy a program devoted to adding some mass!
