heart rate monitors

I have the Polar F6, which I think I bought at Sports Authority. My Garmin Forerunner (for outdoor runs) also has an HRM. I've been happy with both.

Carole (Mckmain) has often posted this link: http://www.heartratemonitorsusa.com/all-monitors.html It's a good place to compare & contrast different brands & models, and the prices are pretty good.

Another satisfied Polar F11 user. I like the soft wearlink chest strap, it's much more comfortable than the standard chest straps.

I have a polar chest strap that came with my Precor elliptical. I thought it was the coolest thing and was so excited to use it, but the best thing that ever happened to me was when the battery died (and what a rip off that you have to send it back to Polar to replace it).

My workouts are so much better without it! I never felt that rush of endorphins until I started using perceived exertion as my guide, and for the first time ever I'm actually enjoying my cardio workouts. :)

I'm glad to hear you say this because I struggle with my HRM watch. I need to be able to see the PERCENTAGE but the numbers are tiny (It's not Polar). I finally gave up and stopped wearing it. I'd still like a heart rate monitor but if I'm to be able to see the numbers I need for the percentage to take up most, if not all, of the face so I don't have to stop and squint to read it. My big worry is that I'm OVERDOING it because I don't know what the number is.
