Heart Rate Monitor

Cathe,

I am considering purchasing a heart rate monitor. I am interested in making sure I reach my target heart rate (not going over and not staying too low) and I am interested in finding out how many calories I am burning when I am working out or simply throughout the day. Do you recommend the HRM? Should there be other things I should target besides HR and calories? Do you have a recommendation on one to purchase?

Thanks in advance for your advice and consideration!

Kim:)

Hi Kim! I actually am not a heart rate monitor user. I have nothing specifically against them and don't find them to be a bad thing, I just don't use them. I go by perceived exertion and the talk test. Please try asing this question in our open discussion forum. I know we have many forum members who use them and most likely will give you great feedback. Good Luck!
