Healthy Eating (BFL) checkin 2/15/05

Hi everyone,

I did the first five intervals of Imax3 for my cardio today and wow, I was breathing hard. Figure I can do this instead of the HIIT way for BFL. Not sure if I will make it for the last 5 if they only get harder. Of course I don't like jumping up or down on the step so I did it on the floor or bunny hopped up and stepped down. The blasts got me and I like how the step sections were not to complicated. There were a couple that I wasn't doing right but kept on moving and trying to catch on.

B - cottage cheese w/yogurt, 1/2 ww english muffin w/lf cream cheese
S - cheese, Balance go mix
L - chicken w/rice soup
S - BFL bar
D - chicken, salad, ??

I use IMAX 1 or 2 or Intense Moves often for my cardio. And now when I do the stairmaster I tend to do intervals rather than 20MAS. Seems to be working ok.

Extra lean turkey bacon, string cheese, oats
Chicken, mashed potatoes
EFL Turkey meatloaf, mashed potatoes
EFL chili
Black Bean Chicken Stew
CC, apple

Cardio at lunch and legs tonight since I skipped last night

And extra water since I had champagne last night.

Rhonda, do you normally do HIIT running? Do you use the IMAX's frequently as a substitute? I don't have any of Cathe's step workouts, but I'm thinking of trying them out to substitute for running. It gets so boring.

Also, for all of you on BFL, have you seen any results yet?

Today's meals are:
1 - oatmeal with Splenda, splash of milk
2 - chicken breast, half a sweet potato
3 - chicken breast, orange
4 - protein shake
5 - salmon, broccoli
 
I am on maintenance with BFL. Usually by week 4 I have lost 1" in my hips, waist and abdomen. Usually maybe lost 1 lb. I am more of a skinny fat person trying to tone up rather than "lose weight" per se. By week 8, I am usually down 2". This if for "starting challenges" not during maintenance.

Not sure if you are doing BFL yet, if not...ignore me :) If so, you might want to add a protein to your first meal and get a 6th meal in if you can. I do IMAX 1 or 2 for my HIIT or the machines at the gym at work.

I was doing HIIT on the bike and treadmill. I don't run but was doing inclines. I have substituted the Imaxs for HIIT and plan on doing that for a while. I can make it through 5 intervals but all 10 kill me so I do the five. I started BFL beginning of the year and have lost 7 pounds so far. I am in week 7 of the program. I am doing the eating portion of it. Exercising I am doing the hardcores right now. I needed to switch up and I think this will work out fine. Saturdays I am doing either LowMax or KickMax, depends on my mood and if I want to tackle step or not.
