Healthy Eating 11/12/04

Hi Everyone

Did PH this morning (5:30am) for the first time - wow!

Here's todays menu:

Protein shake
Porridge
Roasted soya bean snack
Chicken salad
Almonds
Cottage cheese
Smoke ham paella
1 slice brown bread
Fresh vegie juice
2 litres water & herbal tea.

Trying out the theory that if I keep my calories to 1500 for 3 days (30% carbs), then on every 4th day increase to 2000 cals (50% carbs) - this should increase a reduction in body fat! Fingers crossed!

5:30am All Step (Step and Abs only)

B - Bran-A-Crisp with a piece of cheese

S - 2 hard-boiled eggs

L - Salad with tomatoes and turkey breast, protein shake, dried mango slices

S - probably a banana with peanut butter

D - Sweet-sour fish (low carb) with brown-wild rice :9

Fruit for dessert

b - scrambled egg + 1 egg white, whole grain toast, V8
s - Peach
l - Tomato soup with white beans
s - Protein shake (w/ strawberries, vanilla soy milk, and 1 scoop whey protein)
d - veggie burger with cheese!:9 and a side salad.

Tonight will be doing Power Hour + Ab Ripper X. Today's eats are:

Meal 1: cereal w/coffee
Meal 2: mini whole wheat bagel w/whipped cream cheese (I'm getting addicted to these) + white tea
Meal 3: mixed green salad w/chicken & feta cheese + banana
Meal 4: tilapia/mixed veggies
Meal 5: protein shake w/apple

Ok, Krille, I've been meaning to ask you this....What the heck is Bran-A-Crisp? My friend and I were asking each other what it was and we didn't know if it was crackers or cereal since you eat it with a slice of cheese. Where do you find that? I'm starting to go nuts a little bit whenever I see you post Bran-A-Crisp everyday. Must be that great if you eat it often. :)
 
Hi there,

I am sorry to drive you all crazy about this Bran-A-Crisp ;) . Yep, it's just a cracker, which has 2 grams of fiber and is really low in carbs, no bad fats or anything. It's very tasty. I just have that in the morning with a piece of cheese after my workout in the morning, so that my coffee doesn't mess up my tummy.
I buy it at Central Market, but I am sure that regular grocery stores carry it too.

I still am amazed at how many you get up so early and workout!! I bow down to you!!!

Today's meals:
Ham & Cheese Egg Casserole (EFL)
Turkey bacon, string cheese, oatmeal
Turkey Meatloaf, mashed potatoes (EFL)
Chicken, brown rice, tomatoes, artichoke hearts
Grilled steak, baked potato, corn
CC, fruit

Today I feeling a bit run down. If I feel ok, I'll do my cardio at lunch. If not, I'll skip it. There's some cold/virus thing going around at work :(
