HI Everyone,

4:10 - S&H Shoulders, L&G Floorwork, KPC Abs

B - scrambled eggs w/ mushrooms and a little shredded cheddar cheese
S - hb egg and cheese
L - chicken, cheese, lettuce wrapped in a tortilla. If I find some salsa sauce, will add that
S- cashews
D - flat iron steaks, coucous, salad or green beans

5:45 am - ME

B - coffee, apple strudel (just a taste ;-) )
S - protein shake, peanuts, fruit
L - soup, salad
S - yogurt
D - beef and vegetables

Holding steady after last week's weight loss. Don't want to add double workouts to punch through the plateau, but need to figure out something. Please let me know if you have something that works for you.

Here's my day:

B- Honey Graham Life cereal wtih soymilk
S- rice cakes with pb
L- Lean Cuisine and pear
S- one of those new Clif Builders bars
D- Amy's bean burrito

Tomorrow I have decided I will start seriously the SBD diet. I have exactly 2 wks before Thanksgiving to do the hard to do initial phase. Hopefully it will work. My sister lost a ton of weight on it.

Workout today is Circuitmax.
 
Morning all! IMAX 2 for me at 5:00 this morning. Feeling good now!

L - Homemade chicken corn chowder soup (light)
S - Low Carb Yogurt
D - Spinach salad with chicken
S - Cottage Cheese

I just found out that we are going out to dinner Friday night to an Italian restaurant! What am I going to get that's healthy there??? I need help!

Well..got the creeping crud. Oh well, 'tis the season. Hopefully it will not last long. Since I have cut out sugar and processed cereal, I really don't seem to get sick as bad as I used to.

Needless to say, this is a rest day. Gonna cut my calories a little to compensate for SEDENTARY ACTIVITY (hopefully) all day!

1 - smoothie
2 - half protein bar
3 - soup (HEY I added canned chopped clams to my manhattan (canned) clam chowder yesterday and it added a ton of protein!)
4 - cottage cheese
5 - chicken, broccoli

To answer someone's question yesterday, I for one am not low carb, but I am striving for 20-30g of protein at 5 meals to get enough protein for muscle gain. I guess I am probaby 40 ish percentage protein, 30ish carb, 30 or under fat. Haven't done fitday lately to see where I am at. Clean carbs only....starchy earlier in the day, sticking with fibrous later in the day.

So my protein sources must be lean...altho I eat very small amounts of nuts, peanut butter and cheese and egg yolks occasionally...they are not my primary sources of protein for the meal b/c they are too high in fat for me, in the quantity I'd need to eat them to get the protein grams I need....

As of today after 2 weeks or so doing this, I have gained 1 lb and my body fat has stayed the same...which is my goal (or bodyfat lowering as I add muscle). Man, did you see the muscles on those Hardcore chicks! Awesome!

Hello! So, I did IMAX 2 yesterday and it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. It was still hard, but doable, and I wasn't cursing out Trevor for giving me the motivation to do it.
OK, so what are Amy's bean burritos? Sounds good and something that DH might even like.
B- Strawberries, green tea
L- Salad, apple
S- protein shake
D- chicken with broccoli

There won't be a workout today, as I need to go shopping for a new pair of black dress pants, and I don't want to do it at night becuase Lost is on. Yes, I'm that into the show. It's the one show during the week that I won't miss.

Morning Everyone!

I'm still SO SORE from my shoulder workout! Ouch! I don't think this weather is helping either (35) today. Brrrr!

Katie: You can order a chicken dish w/veggies & salad but no pasta. They use the disgusting white flour pasta & that will make you bloat up. This is just my suggestion though.

Jen: Feel better get the rest you need & just eat soup don't worry about your meals when your sick. Just get better.

Tonight's workout is either Step Blast (I LOVE this one) or Step & Jump (leaving out the Pump part). I'll decide later.

My stomach isn't feeling too well today. I hope I'm not coming down w/something too. Today's meals are:

Meal 1: 1 egg scrambled on small tortilla wrap/2 slices turkey bacon + coffee
Meal 2: mini egg onion bagel w/whipped cream cheese + white tea
Meal 3: tilapia/mixed veggies/pear
Meal 4: couscous w/chick peas, peas, pine nuts, raisins & pepper salad
Meal 5: pork loin chop/sweet potato/green beans (will eat this AFTER my workout)

Amy's is an organic/vegetarian brand of frozen foods. Really good. These burritos are amazingly yummy. If I hadmy choice I would totally go vegetarian if not vegan. I just feel so much better when I eat that way. I'm just afraid my weight will rocket up there though with mostly carbs. And I don't like tofu so there goes that protein source. Anyway, you find all the Amy's stuff in the frozen dept of alot of regular grocery stores.
 
Oh, ok! I've never tried vegetarian anything on my family. I have a meat and potatoes kind of guy. But maybe bean burritos would be ok. I should really go to allrecipes.com and search their mexican recipes. I make a mean enchilada dish, but I can only make that so often or gets old.

Oh, I almost forgot to help out the person that is going to an italian restaurant. What about an antipasta salad? That shouldn't be too bad. I know that it's going to be hard to not eat the pasta though. So, maybe you can share a dish of whatever sounds good? Or there is one mroe thing, I think it's chicken marsala. That's realy good and the chicken isn't breaded, so there are hardly any carbs, but it depends on the resaurant you go to. Some use a cream based sauce, so read the ingredients in the menu before you dig in.

Hello everyone,
I'm a little late posting today. A co-worker is out for a death in his family so I have alot more to do! I got up late this morning and only had time for the cardio drills premix of KPC. Tonight I'm either going to run/walk on my treadmill or do some lower impact cardio workout.

Meal 1: Eggbeater casserole + cup of sliced strawberries
Meal 2: Cottage cheese & oatmeal + protein shake w/banana
Meal 3: Big salad w/light dressing + two small BBQ skinless chicken thighs
Meal 4: Balance bar + grapes
Meal 5: Beef & bean burrito w/green chili (in a low carb tortilla) + small salad
Meal 6: Danon Light & Fit yogurt + 1/3 cup Kashi Go Lean

2 cups coffee w/ff Coffee Mate & Splenda.

I eat a loose 40% carb/40% protein/20% fat. I always eat some protein when I eat carbs. And the majority of my carbs come from fruit and veggies.

Hope you're feeling better, Jen! I'll have to try some of those Amy's burritos! :)

Hi all:

Tonight I will do Pure Strength Triceps, Chest & Shoulders.

Meal 1: Kashi Go Lean with soy milk
Meal 2: EAS bar
Meal 3: Tuna on whole wheat
Meal 4: Cottage cheese mixed with fat free yogurt
Meal 5: Apple and a piece of string cheese
Meal 6: Grilled chicken breast on whole wheat with a slice of
2% cheese and lots of veggies

I am in my 3rd week of Body For LIFE. So far so good! Anyone else following the BFL plan?
