HC Strength Rotation Substitute DVDs

Hello Everybody ~

Today I did Kickmax because I don't have KPC. I can't execute all the blast moves yet...very high intensity and something to aspire to! I did the leg drills at the end and discovered I have something in common with Cathe! I'm better at lowering my leg than lifting my leg, too! Ha! Ha!

My Cathe collection includes the entire Hardcore collection, BC/ME, HST, IMAX2/C&W & CLASSICS VOL 1. The HC Strength Rotation calls for the following DVDs which I don't have: PLB,KPC, & CK. Should I order the 3 DVDs I don't have or is my present collection adequate and what should I use for PLB and CK? I used Kickmax in place of KPC today. Was that a comparable substitution? Thank you for any input. I appreciate and value your opinions!

Have a great night!

~ Kim

Hi, Kim! IMHO, you do need to get the DVDs you're missing, not only for the HC Strength Rotation but for overall balance of your DVD library. PLB/PUB is far more strength-oriented than the DVDs you currently own, and you could benefit from having the other two kickbox-oriented workouts (KPC and CK) that you've listed. Plus, KPC also has Legs & Glutes (LG) on its DVD which is wonderful, AND CK also has Circuit Max on its DVD which is one of my alltime fave Cathe workouts.

I'm pretty cheap so I don't advocate spending hard-earned money unless there's long-term value, so there it is.

I have to agree with Annette here.

I would definitely suggest getting the CK/Circuit Max DVD: wouldn't want to be without it (for CM rather than CK)!

And there is no substitute for PUB and PLB. It is a totally different way of lifting to that used on all Cathe's other weighted workouts.

Get these two first if $$ is difficult.

Kickmax can be a sub for KPC until you can afford to get it because atually it is better than KM and a "truer" kickbox workout IMHO.
