Hazy, hot and humid

I love the summer, but always forget how hard it is to get my cardio done: 6 a.m. today, it's 72 degrees with 71% humidity, and I'm on my treadmill with two fans blowing on me and a spray bottle of water that I use to cool myself down--and it _still_ felt like I was slogging through pea soup. I get more acclimated to it as the summer goes on, but it's never as easy to workout as it is on a cool day--ugh!

I know what you mean. When doing KPC and Boot Camp this week, I had to run into my bedroom where I have a large fan and put myself in front of it during a quick commercial break. I have got to run today in the evening so I hope it will cool down enough by then, but it is suppose to be in the 90's here. It is hard to get acclimated when it has been so cool, but just make sure you drink more water.

I'm really really glad summer is finally here. I've been whining about cold weather for the last two months.

But now I have to whine a little about the heat b/c the freakin a/c at work is broken. I'm on the second floor & it's about a billion degrees in here. Not good hair conditions LOL.

I was going to post about this very thing this morning. I did MIC last night and could NOT finish which feels like defeat and I hate that. It was in the upper 80s in Ohio and threatening thunderstorms and the air felt like a wet blanket and I felt like I was WEARING one as I tried to fininsh the step portion. I was cooked - had to quit before the end of the tape. x( (Tonight I will run the air conditioning and try again!)

I know that feeling--I hate it when what is normally a regular workout for me suddenly feels exhausting. But I did see on my heart rate monitor that I was working at a higher range than usual, despite being at the same pace, so I know it's harder for your body.

What bugs me about getting acclimated is that I sit in freezing AC all day--I have to wear two really thick sweaters to keep from freezing totally because the AC blows right on me. Don't even get me started on it!! x(

Yes...it is 85 degrees here now and I don't even want to think about humidity. We had an unusually cool spring but now it will only get more hot and humid. I forgot what an impact the change in heat and humidity can have on my workouts. I did CM #1 today and then LM and I wasn't even through the first two cycles of LM when I felt all weak and just wanted to quit. I thought why is this so much harder than usual? LM is not one of the toughest workouts but I just had to push myself today. I will have to workout earlier or later in the day or just learn to deal with it....bleh!

When i have time to workout, I prefer working out in the summer because the air conditioners are in the windows and I can put them on full blast. For me, that cool, dry air makes for the most motivating climate to work out in.

ok the heat and humidity I can deal with but now we're under a tornado warning??? EEK! we dont get many of those in upstate ny

I am still waiting for summer here in Idaho. ummmm All it does is rain rain rain ,shoot it snowed on the 2nd.But boy is it green !!!!

Wow, that's really unusual for upstate NY--don't all the mountains prevent tornados from developing? In any case, I hope you made it through without any tornados.
