Having my surgery finally!

hey guys,

i haven't been around too much lately. so much going on. I will be giving Cathe a rest after 11/18 :( because i am having a breast reduction!! Finally!!! I have always wanted one and its here. I have given this many years of thought.. i was finally approved by my ins company. Anyway, to those of you who know where i am coming from will understand how hard it is live with big loose saggy boobs.. sorry if i am being too graphic. I have always been overweight and my all time high was 250 and at that time i wore a 42DDD/E ..sigh. Now i am 174 and 38/40 DDD .. yuck.. try doing imax 2 or any Cathe or anything really phyical with these. They are painful as hell and cause me migraines and neck /shoulder/back pain galore when i am active. Which is virtually all the time. I know they have prevented me from giving it my ALL non stop during workouts because they are phyically crippling me. I think getting these down to a moderate size.. full b or C will allow me alot more comfort and freedom. Not to mention. maybe i will finally reach my perfect weight without these big ones in my way and with Cathe and my love of exercise maybe i can even wear strapless and sexy stuff one day ..(a dream) . I will have to completely chill out and take this long recovery one day at a time .. but it will so worth it !!! Love u all and wish me luck.. hopefully this can be my new beginning!!

:+ Yayyyyyyyyy

Hi Candy,
Good luck to you. I know what a pain large breasts are and I wish you a quick recovery. I bet you are going to be so happy with the results! Take care.

Candy,

Good luck to you and a speedy recovery. I'm glad your insurance company agreed to pay for this. It definitely sounds medically necessary.

How long do your doctors say the recovery going to take?

YAY CANDY!!!

Your post gave me goose bumps -- I am SO excited for you, Candy! This is truly a new beginning for you, and to achieve this goal after already losing 75 pounds -- well, girl, you give new meaning to the words "dedicated" and "determined"!!!

Good luck, Candy! I hope you're feeling better in no time so you'll be able to tackle all the new workouts! :D

Take care,

Marie

Good luck on your surgery! I'm a "barely B", and have to wear two sports bras when rebounding, so I can imagine how difficult it is to do any impact with larger breasts. It will be so nice for you to not have the shoulder/neck/back pain!

Aww guys.. Thanks for the well wishing. I will have to take it easy for 2 wks for sure.. He says i can resume normal activity after 4-6 wks. I plan on doing Cathe cardio's asap without any impact. Just modify modify modify like i did in the beginning. No jumping etc. I plan on doing alot of time on my elliptical trainer too. I have had it since Feb .. a birthday gift from hubby that was used maybe 3 times and used as dust collector.. LOL . He will be thrilled to pull that big sucker out the closet so i can use it. I also plan on doing as much lower body work as i can asap too. I am predicting that in a couple of months i will be flying across my step again and tearing it up!!!! Thanks again yall. Truly !

Hi Candy! I wish you a happy and healthy recovery. You'll be in our thoughts. We'll be here for you when you get back. Take it a step at a time (no pun intended,;-))

Candy, I'm so happy for you. This sounds like something that will be awesome for you! Take it easy, and you'll be back to working out full force. :)

good luck to you on her surgery. My surgery with my plasic surg. was two weeks ago. Of course mine was to repair a severed tendon in my finger, so quite a bit different. You and I can recover and dream of doing the videos soon. A post-op support group. Valerie

Good luck Candy! I am so happy for you! A very good friend of mine had a reduction about 4 years ago and it made her the happiest person on earth. She always wore baggy tops, never anything revealing or cute because she was so self conscious, not to mention all the back problems. What a happy lady she became....and I know you will to!! Us post op people must stick together! My 6 week appt is just a little over a week away!!! Hopefully I will get the go ahead to work out...Kick, Punch Crunch is calling my name! Take Care, Donna.

HI Candy~Good Luck with your surgery. I am sure this will be a NEW beginning for you. As an instructor, I see students come to class that struggle with your problem. High impact or any bouncing at all makes it uncomfortable for them. Wishing you a speedy recovery. Ittie-bitties are a GOOD thing! :7

Hi Candy,
Congrats on going for it! I have read that this surgery, of all the breast ones, has the highest satisfaction rate! So it's highly likely you'll really be glad you did it!

You will be back to normal workouts faster than you expect!

I'll be thinking of you when the time comes.
