Haven't Worked Out in 2 Weeks

I'm usually an every-day Cathe user, but I was traveling two weeks ago, and this past week I've been having some funky symptoms and am just not feeling right. Skipping workouts makes me feel worse, though. I'm planning to get back into it tomorrow, but this is a long break for me, and I'm not sure what to expect. I guess I'm a little anxious. I probably should got to sleep instead of obsessing about it. Any advice?

Usually if I've had to miss some time due to work, vacation, whatever..I plan a cardio workout 1st day back and usually something I really love. Right now I would choose Imax2 or Imax3 or Step Blast! Anyway, I would choose what you're going to do tomorrow and then get a good nights sleep! :)

I agree with starting back by focusing on something you love. Probably not an Imax though. Start with something you know very well and know you can accomplish any day of the week, something you would not have to psyche yourself up to complete. This way, you start back by restoring some confidence.

If you haven't been feeling right, I would definitely skip the Imaxes. They are unforgiving workouts and you may not feel quite 100% just yet.

Finish the day off wwith a nice stretch and relaxation with Cathe's Stretch max if you own it. It will make you feel good about yourself and what you accomplish today and may help get some of those kinks out that you have been feeling.

Don't stress about it. We all have to go through "coming back" at some time or another. I just took 6 days off last week, totally unscheduled but I got too depresssed. These things happen. So on Saturday I blasted off with Step Blast again and had ffun and felt so much better!

Clare and Jo:

Thanks for the supportive replies. Well, I did get up this morning and got through Super Sets. I felt really good and was a relief after the time off. I think the anticipation was worse than actually getting back into it. Feeling a little bit better today, too. I'm gonna take your advice and do a fun cardio tomorrow morning--maybe Rhythmic Step. Thanks again!
