Have you ever had a horrible workout day?

I am so annoyed with my body right now.

I tried to to the Low Impact Circuit Cardio Timesaver and my calves and arches totally cramped until I could not complete the workout without stopping to get the cramping to stop.

Does anybody else have calf or arch cramps?

I know it is now my shoes since this cramping is an on again/off again thing.

What could I be doing wrong?

Could I be overworking a muscle group?

Last night I did all of Body Max 2 and I was fine.

Today's workout - for lack of a better term - sucked.

I don't get them very often, but occasionally I'll get a charley horse in my hamstring. Usually it happens when my gut tells me to take a rest day but I work out anyway.

Sounds like you need to dial back a little or take a day off.

Yes, me too. I have days when i push myself. I was having those cramps on the stretch of B&G. I have to pause and stretch it out. What else can you do?
Maybe you need a day off. I know it is harsd, but we have to do it...
I just took 2 . I was sore on the upper Body for 3 days and the legs have finally unthawed after 2.I was too sore to even do cardio..
Maybe after BM2 you needed a little rest..Stepin really works the legs.
Have a great day

I get cramping in my feet and calves more often when I dont get enough potassium in my diet. Try eating a banana every day. It really seems to help.

You seemed to have answered your own question:
"I know it is now my shoes since this cramping is an on again/off again thing." So many you should get new shoes.

Amy, I would recommend you take some magnesium/calcium supplements. My friend is near your age as is experiencing similar cramping. She's been taking this supplement and has discovered that it has solved her problem. You may also want to drink electrolyte replacement drinks while you're working out as well.

Hope this helps

Oh yes, I have had terrible workout days. It seems to coincide w/ a certain time in my monthly cycle, about two weeks before my next period. I feel clumsy, uncoordinated, have no energy, and fall all over the place. It sometimes happens at other times, too. When it does, I either take a rest day (because our bodies will tell us if they need extra rest!) or I just do a lighter, easy workout, or just a yoga, stretch workout.

Body Max 2 is an intense workout. I haven't done it all the way through yet, I just break it up into sections for different days. If I did do it all the way through I'd definitely take a rest day the next day!

There's usually one body part of mine that likes to rebel when I work out. I've had pain in my feet, despite new sneakers, that comes and goes. Then there are days I have no energy level, or my sinuses will bother me and I get a headache when I jump. I tend to ignore these issues because they eventually go away,

However...yesterday I was all excited to do Body Max 2 in it's entirety when during the middle of combo one I developed a monster case of sciatica that almost made my knees buckle. I was so pissed I had to stop stepping, and knowing it will take a couple weeks to recover and I'll have to curtail my workouts doesn't help my anger. I didn't give up though, I skipped to the upper body section and did that, being careful not to use heavy weights. I feel fine today so I'm hoping I didn't do any damage yesterday.:)
