Have any of you ever bought from ebay?

I see a bunch of Cathe DVDs offered and I wondered about it. I'm tempted because of the lower price but I have no idea about quality. I have never even done ebay before, so anybody who has some insight would be greatly appreicated! Thanks!

I have bought (and sold) a lot of stuff on eBay, but not Cathe DVDs. They usually end up selling for about the same price (sometimes HIGHER) than if you were to buy them new from Cathe.com. I will never understand what possesses people to pay more money for a used item than they would have to pay for a new one... but it happens all the time on eBay. LOL!

eBay is usually a buy-at-your-own-risk kind of thing, so if you buy the DVD and it ends up not working, there's not much you can do about it. Always check the feedback of the person you are thinking of buying from! I never buy from anyone with less than 98% positive feedback. I'm very picky about who I do business with on eBay.

I have bought nearly all of my Cathe DVDs from the Firm Ya-Ya swapmeet, with is also buy-at-your-own-risk and have not had a single problem with any of my DVDs. Got some awesome deals too! :)

Same here. I actually buy almost all my high end clothes on ebay (Juicy Couture, Paul & Joe, Catherine Malandrino, Ella Moss, etc.) & I've also bought a lot of fitness accessories (med ball, stability ball, yoga mat), but I've never bought an actual workout. Go figure.

I use to sell high end clothing on Ebay. I still sell some, but working out is more important these days. I am also a buyer. Checking feedback before you place a bid is the best thing to do so you know who you are dealing with.

I have bought a couple cathe videos on ebay. They both work fine but I did check the seller feedback first. It is true though that for the most part you only save a few bucks. I too have seen some sell higher on ebay then you can get them new. I don't understand that one either! I have bought other things on ebay and have got some great deals. If you use paypal you are pretty safe if something is wrong with an item.

I'm also new to buying on Ebay. However, I made two purchases and have had no problems with my DVDs. Also, make sure you check out how much shipping is? Shipping here is pretty high, IMO. So, sometimes if you add on shipping you do get a better deal. I definitely would check out the ratings for the seller.

I buy from ebay ALL the time. I did get one Cathe video from there once and it was fine. Most of the time, you won't get the Cathe DVD's at a price low enough from what she charges to make it worth it. There's no guarantee on them.

yup I LOVE ebay. I have bought a few older cathe videos for like 4 or 5 bucks a piece and they were great but I didnt buy any dvd's cuz there is no guarentee theyll work

I have bought several things from ebay. I bought my sons a few DVD's and they worked fine. I do check the comments for the seller before I buy. I have also bought several brand new toys for my youngest son. He likes Geo Trax. I have also bought gameboy games and they all worked fine too. It is very addictive once you start buying.;-)

Good luck!

I don't understand that either, but I appreciate it when I'm selling Cathe DVD's on Ebay!

As for buying from Ebay, it all depends. If the description of the DVD is not clear enough to judge what condition it is in (I always list how many times, more-or-less, it's been used or viewed if it's 6 times or fewer, or whether it was just previewed and not used after that), you can always send a message to the seller and ask more specifically.

I've bought some autographed photos (James Marsters as "Spike," Leonard Nimoy as "Spock") from Ebay, but never a workout DVD or video. Strange, as I sell a lot of them.

OK, the FIRST time we ever bought anything from eBay it was a CAR! And we love it. We even did it again. Since then we have bought smaller things;-) but never a Cathe DVD

Now that was brave!!

I have bought and sold several things on eBay and have never had a problem. Check the seller's feedback and make sure you understand the shipping costs, as others have mentioned above. Also, if you are bidding, make sure you stick to your maximum bid and don't get caught up in the frenzy that can sometimes happen in the last few minutes of the auction. I know this from experience.
