HATERS/LOVERS, MARCH 7

Miss Lee

Cathlete
Good morning!

I'm scheduled for PLB today. I got the pyramids awhile back but I've never done them so I think I'm going to preview it while doing an elliptical workout. (I really should have previewed LIC again before doing it -- what a fiasco---lol!). I've been looking over the intermediate rotation and I may have to bump up the cardio a little bit. I know, I know, shocking, isn't it? But the tape measure doesn't lie and, as much as I hate to admit it, cardio is the best way to get rid of the ole spare tire.

I finally made it to bed around 1 AM -- not great but better than 3 AM. It helps to take a book to bed. I used to read in another room so as not to disturb DH, but I discovered that reading by the light of a small book lamp has not interrupted his snoring...er...sleeping one bit!

August, where are you this morning? Has Ched been masticated?

Arista, your hometown sounds like my hometown. It actually depresses me to go home because it's so run down.

>>Yeah, it doesn't mean I'm not mad or he wasn't wrong, but talking about it sometimes doesn't make it any better (unless he's fully ready to grovel at my feet). I hope your DH grovels soon<<

Oh yeah, groveling...I love groveling...especially when DH is the one groveling - LMAO!

It's time for breakfast!

Robin, MSY, Shelley, Dana, Deb, Diane,... *inhale*... Mariah, Jen, Terri, Kara, Corrie and all -- I'll BBL to check up on you:p :*

Hi all,

Just thought I'd say hi. I finished P90X last week. Kind of freestyling it this week. Did a Slim Series today. Learned that less cardio is better for me. You haters were right all along.

I've got to know: who or what is Ched? Masticated, eeek, that sounds so, so, final.

Jeanette

Jeanette!!!!

Hello stranger! I feel so vindicated -- we haters know what we're talking about -- LMAO

How'd you do on the P90X rotation? Did you have noticeable results? Several of us are thinking about taking the plunge.

Ched...well, Ched is a block of cheddar that August stashed in her refrigerator and he's been shrinking little by little everyday;). I'm worried about August, frankly. I think she may have been sucked into her Nintendo village--LMAO!

Have you had your GTG with Suz yet? Please give her a hug for me if and when you do.

It's so great to hear from you again. Please stop by any time.:*

Robin, thank you so much for filling the void. I was feeling a little lonely in here:-(

WTH is everybody!?

Good morning everyone!

Michele - after my post last night, I am surprised you might wonder where I was. LOL. My dinner last night consisted of several K&M, a shot of tequila, 5 crackers and 2 glasses of water. I went to bed, but did not get to sleep until almost 1. Surprising, I was up this morning at 6, feeling quite fine. Glad to see you here this morning, starting the check in.

Hi Jeanette! Thanks for asking about Ched! I was wondering who the heck he was. I thought August was having man troubles and I didn't know if I should ask for more details. LOL. I don't know how a piece of cheddar can last so long in someone's fridge that it starts to shrink - we are cheese-addicts in my house. mmmmm grilled cheese...quesidillas....vegetable chowder.....can you tell I haven't had breakfast. (see above for the great dinner I had) Did you have good results with P90X? I am no where ready for it yet, I still need to be able to get through my Cathe DVDs, but I am curious if it is all that it claims to be.

Robin, MSY, Shelley, Dana, Deb, Diane,... *inhale*... Mariah, Jen, Terri, Kara, all -- I'll BBL to check up on you. (I did cut and paste, but I need to feed the children, so I better sign off for now.)

BBL

I'm here, I'm here! After an almost two hour freaking drive to work. Ugh. We got an inch of snow and apparently everyone panicked. They were all running around yelling 'BURMA' (Monty Python reference there).

Groveling, huh? My SO would never grovel in a million years. Any sign of trouble and the boy turns cold as ice. It's bloody annoying. We had a "chat" a while back about separating and all he said was "wow... it'll be weird to be on my own again".x( Oops, sorry, did I vent? *ahem*

So y'all are thinking of plunging into the X? You'll love it. Very little cardio and great results. Even with the "plethora of crap" eating plan that I followed.

Shutting up now.

Hi. Just checking in quick.

Shelley - my DH sounds like your SO. MEN!!!

Michele - cracking me up PLB on the eli.

Cora - I'd be dragging big time if I had what you had for dinner last night. What does your DH do that he was away for 3 weeks. If you already posted that, sorry, I"m behind in the threads.

I can't stay and play b/c I"ve got to get back to work. I went to the store during lunch and I tried to swipe my driver's license instead of my debit card. Doesn't work. Then my 4-wheel drive would not shut off. Sheesh! Get back and I see I have an e-mail from my son's teacher - his behavior has been horrible today, he was fighting, mouthy with another teacher and yesterday was threatened to be thrown off the bus. He is FIVE!!!! Oh what am I in store for?

OK, later haters!

Hi to ALL!

Hi Dana

Well...I tried to make it through Cardio and Weights step only premix, but didn't quite make it - had to stop and have SOMETHING to eat besides coffee, so I guess I am not quite the superwoman I thought I was :)
I DID manage to come back and do the Push Pull Upper 2 set premix. (Maybe I'm just still tipsy from last night.) I'll probably fall over sometime this afternoon and not be able to get up.

My husband is an aircraft maintenance engineer (AME) who works on helicopters. He is working up north in Fort St John and does 2 or 3 weeks up there at a time. There is oil up in northern BC and Alberta so the helicopter business is quite good. We prefer to live in a place that is not so barren and so COLD in the winter so we have not moved up there.

Sorry if you were just being polite....you probably didn't want the essay version.

Sounds like your son is being a real BOY (I have 2 girls and I am amazed at how ACTIVE the little boys are at play group). Good luck!!!

Where is everyone else!!!???

Corrie

Hi Haters!

I only have second as I scarf down my tuna lunch. I am sorry I don't have time to write to everyone today. Where is August? Shelley - I think I would have kicked your SO in the shins (well, felt like kicking him in the shins). Michele - I love the pyramids, but they do cause som serious DOMS. I did GS chest and triceps this AM with 20min of Drill Max cardio off the Cadio Fusion. Maybe will try to get on treadmill later.

Wish me luck with the rest of the day - I need it!

Hi, All!

Like MSY, I don't have lots of time but I really would love your opinion on this situation that has come up.

Background: I incorporated my business with the Secretary of State in Dec. 04 with the name of Staged With Style, Inc. I also belong to Stagedhomes.com which offers training to become an Accredited Staging Professional (ASP) and took their course in Jan. 2005 and have been a member since.

One of my top clients forwarded an email to me last night that she received from another stager. She thought this email was very interesting (eye brows raised). It was from a company called Staged In Style!! I've found out the Staged IN Style registered their name with the Secretary of State back in Sept. of 06. When I emailed this owner, she claims that she did a thorough job researching domain names to make sure her name was unique and that the name was available. As a side note, she is also a member of the ASP organization and my company name is clearly on that website as well. On the SOS's website, you can research to see if a business name is available. If you type in Staged In Style, who's name comes up? Yes, my company name! You can't tell me that she didn't see this! So, my question is: am I making a big deal out of nothing? Overreacting? BTW, we offer nearly identical services and are obviously marketing in the same area. She sent the email to one of my clients! Now, I'm all for competition and I say bring it on. But not with names so similar. My options of course are contacting an attorney and I can also file a notice to contest her company name. As of today, I'm filing out paperwork to trademark the company name so this doesn't happen again (this isn't the first stager who's used this same name before but that's another long story.)

Am I overreacting?
Terri

Terri, no, I don't think you're overreacting at all. I would be livid, especially since she is obviously trying to horn in on your established clients! I might talk to an attorney -- at least get an opinion if they think it would be worth it to contest her company name. That whole thing doesn't set well with me at all.

MSY, my DH has been totally swamped at work, too. Good for you for managing to squeeze in a workout. I'm sending you all the good luck vibes I can muster! Oh, the GS workouts are my favorites, by the way.

Corrie, it sounds like your DH has a tough job. I would hate it if my DH had to travel so far and be gone for such long stretches of time.

Dana, I'm LMAO at you for swiping your DL instead of your debit card!

Shelley, I agree with MSY and I would've kicked your SO in the shins for that remark. I don't think he really meant it -- he was yanking your chain. You come vent here any time :* :*

I'm off to do a little grocery shopping. I may not post again until tomorrow afternoon or evening sometime. I have an appointment out of town and I'll be gone most of the day. Y'all behave in here!:* :* And NO nekkid workouts:p

Finally, time to sit and catch up here. I did LIC when I got home from a very busy day at work. I haven't done it in so long, it was almost like a brand new workout. A brand new tough workout.

Hi Jeanette. I'm hoping to get P90X one of these days. I need cardio though. It relieves stress for me much better then weight work.

Shelley and Dana, I'm pretty lucky. My DH will grovel if he's wrong. He is wrong tonight and I expect some heavy duty groveling. It's about 2 hours later then he usually gets home and he never called. I finally tracked him down at school, putting the finishing touches on a final. I growled at him and hung up, so he better come home and lick my feet. Hmmmm, porn post?

Corrie, that's an impressive job your DH has, but I'm with Michele. I wouldn't like being seperated that long. One of our best friends works out of town all week, and only sees his kids and wife on weekends. I'd hate it.

Dana, oh my, that's quite a 5 year old you have there. I wish I had some words of wisdom, but my DS wasn't your normal little boy. Now if you want advice on how to keep your kids from stealing food, I'm your resource.

MSY, I'm sorry your day is so bad. But I'm glad you got your work out done. Are you a doctor? How do you juggle that with the kids? Most of the women who have kids here work part time. What is your specialty?

Good evening haters, not staying long just wanted to say hello!

Survived the training today but my brain is mush so keeping this short.

Michele- I just saw that you answered my question about your sis in the <--- thread...need to figure out which day that was & find it! Why aren't you sleeping well?

Jeanette-Hello, nice to see another face here, sounds like you were once a hater then left??

Shelley-Sorry your drive to work was crap. Hope tomorrow is better for you. I take it Sophie is feeling back to normal?

Corrie- Wow, did I miss a party last night? Sounds like you had a good time! That sounds like a cool job your DH has. Where do you live, or if you don't want to say no problem!

Dana- You should get the "blonde 4-wheel drive" like me...it kicks in automatically, don't have to do anything!! Hope your day got better as it went on...

MSY- Did you make it on the treadmill today?

Terri- Hello, I saw your e-mail, not sure I'll have time to e-mail you back tonight, may be tomorrow night but you have EVERY RIGHT to be PISSED about the name thing, that is just down right wrong! Can you do anything about it?

Deb, Diane, Mariah, Kara- Hope you all had wonderful days.

I think I have IMAX in store for tomorrow night...hopefully my brain won't be mush still b/c there is NO WAY I could do an IMAX tonight... then Friday night is B&G Leg Blast Premix w/ floor glute work added on, love that workout.

Everyone have a happy Friday eve & talk tomorrow night!

Good evening haters-

Well Jen, I admit I did not get on the treadmill tonight. I'm not sure I can drag myself into bed, let alone onto the treadmill.:p Glad you survived training (aka torture so far as I'm concerned).

Robin - Sweet dreams! I'm right behind you. My specialty is Internal Medicine. I have been forcing my sorry butt out of bed every morning b/c I just can't exercise after I get home.

Shelley - Glad Sophie is feeling better. When exactly does spring come in your neck of the woods?

Terri - That is no good. I think you should definitely talk to a lawyer.

I gotta get to bed. See you in the AM!

Good evening all,

This will be short as I've got an assignment due in my online class in about 2 hours.

But, I agree Terri!! That's really awful. If her business is in the same area as yours and there's only one minor word different, how are people to tell you apart?? What a rip-off!! You should definitely talk to a lawyer ASAP. Good luck.

I had another busy day, but I did get a run/walk in.

OK, so what exactly does DOMS stand for? I get the MS standing for muscle soreness, right? But what's the DO?

Jen - I'm glad to hear you made it through training alright. I feel like I'm in training everyday since I'm going to school online and working full-time. I totally understand the brain mush!!

Robin - You seem to be really consistent with your workouts. Good job! I hope your DH grovels. I could actually never get my BF to do that. We've been together for six years, and if I know one thing about him, its that he doesn't grovel. He apologizes, but only on his terms, when he's ready.

Dana - We sounds a lot alike! Swiping my DL is SO something I would do. I'm a natural blond though, so I have an excuse, I guess (as much as I hate that stereotype).

August - Hope you and Ched are enjoying yourselves. Don't work too hard!

Speaking of work, its back to it for me.

Cora, Shelley, Mariah, Jeanette (Welcome to the thread!), Diane, and anyone else I've missed... Good night!

Hello haters,

I have a little bit of time and still need to check in with the Xers too before bed. Typing personals does take some time out of the evening. Just got done watching The Illusionist. Good movie. I love having Netflix!

Okay, now I get it about Ched, LMAO! That August is just too much! What a card!

Re: P90X, I have pictures on my Picture Trail, but honestly, I can't see a whole lot of difference. Didn't lose any weight and not much inches, but did tighten up and (get this) on less cardio than I was doing. For a normal Classic P90X week, I did 2 cardio workouts, plus 2 after work bike rides or workouts, that's it. Now maybe I could have had better results by adding in more cardio, but that sounded like too much work to me. I'm not a real HATER, but not a LOVER either. I learned lots about making a rotation, recovery weeks, and challenging myself thru a different way of lifting, lifting to my own count and tempo, not anyone else's. By the end of the rotation (90 days) I was ready for a change and I think my body was too. I really am proud of myself for finishing the X and if not for the ladies on the Xers checkin, I wouldn't have been able to give it my all.

Wish I could post here and talk to all of you more often, Michelle, Robin, August and all you other ladies that have joined in to this check in, but I'm in 2 checkins right now and had to abandon the Hardcores. If it were just posting what your workout was, that would be easy. It's nice to address everyone, but just not enough time.

Michelle: Suz and I are still getting together in July or August. I need to look at my calendar and see when it'll be good for me. She gave me her schedule already so the ball's in my court. I think I will drive (14 hours per Mapquest), long way, I know, but I want to take my bikes to ride with her and don't want to put them on the plane.

Corrie, I love cheese too!

A piece of cheddar. I thought it was a guy at first. Boy, was I wrong.
