HATE - Mar 6

August

Cathlete
I should never, never have let Ched back into my life.

He'll be outta here soon. I've learned my lesson.

Anyway, GOOD MORNING!

Just finished S&H C&B. I've come to realize that I love to work my biceps and shoulders. LOL.

Anyway, must get dressed today. Bummer.

Robin - Yeah, now if you get caught picking in public, you can just say, "Applying medicine. Sorry."...Congrats on choosing a rotation. Nov 06? Whenever anyone mentions a rotation they've chosen, I always feel so curious to look at what's on it.

Corrie - LMAO! Porn? Heck yeah! My hand is up! My hand is up! I didn't even realize there was talk about that on the forums, though I guess in its own little right, it is cardio.....Okay, so now tell us why you woke up at 1:15am and never got back to sleep again.

>I got the Body Blast series, and THEN I noticed that everyone in the forums thinks these are just intermediate workouts. I guess it will be a while before I try the Insanity series.

LMAO.

Oh wait a minute. Poor puking daughter. I'm getting the notion that this is the reason you were up last night?

Shelley -

>I now have an image in my head of a bunch of Japanese people walking around with their fingers up their noses.

Baha! Just so long as you don't have an image of ME walking around with my finger up my nose..................................................okay, I have to find the porn thread now.

Michele - I wonder how many Cathe DVDs I have that I haven't done yet. I mean, how does everyone remember which workout is which DVD? Like how many times have I done my Christis yet still don't know which moves are in which DVD? At any rate, I'm sending the vibes you requested, and I even washed my fingers for you before sending. LOL about your sad face emoticon after KPC.

OMG, I LOVE YOUR DH! That was the cutest story ever, and you know how I feel about cute. He's adorable! (By the way, for your benefit, I'll ignore the segue about his reminiscing his fondness for being with his grandmother at the laundromat to his enjoyment in being with you at the laundromat LOL.) Anyway, that's a great story. You should take him there for a romantic picnic date sometime - bring a few loads with you! (Ew, that sounded awful, but you know I'm talking about things to be laundered.)

I'm sorry to hear that you have year-round allergies. Actually, come to think of it, I think I knew that. If you're interested to try picking your nose with the new medicine from here, I'll be glad to send you a tube. Though I can understand some hesitancy being that the whole box will be in a foreign language. But I suppose that might be part of the thrill, too.

Oh, your poor lost sweater ant. Was he looking for water? When I was living in my cockroach-infested apartment years ago, one night it was really muggy and hot, so I was sleeping au naturale with the fan directly blowing on me. My sheet was also blowing around from the air from the fan and tickling my skin as I started to fall fast asleeeeee HMF!! (Help Me Friends) It wasn't the sheet tickling my body, but Cocky Roach out for a little stroll on my nakedness. Needless to say, we were BOTH pretty surprised. I swear that when I jumped straight up off my bed, Cocky and I stood shocked, looking straight at each other, both doing double-takes for a good five seconds before both scurrying away.

OMG, my work partner just sent me an email with a link to Mr. Donuts. LOL.

You know, just what is intermediate and advanced, anyway? I mean, isn't most of what intermediate and advanced is is how you yourself choose to do it?

LOL, I just got to Michele's post where she used "au naturale," too. How funny.

That's great that your sister was excited about your idea for the HRM! And might I say that you chose a sweeeeeet one! I think I have the F11, and you're totally right - waaaaay more than I would need. I say I "think" I have the F11 because I NEVER use any of the buttons so I'm not sure anymore LOL. All I use it for is : how many calories? How many minutes? Did I get my medal? Anyway, I'm sure it will be really inspiring for her to have.

>Hows your hair? Were you able to keep it smooth?

LMAO.

Arista -

>I figure if I have an hour, I could spend it more wisely than jumping around my living room on a plastic bench.

LMAO! Thanks you guys for helping me reason myself out of my cardio yesterday. Actually, it ended up being that I had some extra time to sneak in the DVD after all, and literally moments before I was going to start, I got a call asking if I had a particular paper or not, and I ended up having to search for (and not finding) the thing for the whole extra hour I had. Oh well.

>I always say that and then post a frikkin' year long diary.

Oh yeah, hate those long posts. Eh.

Jen - I keep forgetting to tell you that Choco says hi. And you're so kind to tell me you enjoy my posts as a morning read....I never thought anything about birthdays and turning a year older, but for some reason, 30 did make me think some. Now that I'm 37, I can't remember how old I am. I'm not kidding.

OMG, LMAO! KK! Whole wheat donuts! Way to go!!

But did you have to go and write the calorie and fat content of the regular ones? LOL.

Dana - That sucks about how your weekend finished up. At least you got some good sleep,...heh. I hope the week will be more fun. Poor men, they have that inbred thingy where they feel the need to be MAN and sometimes it gets the better of them, even though we are now living in the "modern" world. I've read that when a man sees/senses that "his" woman may be frolicking with another man, that his sperm picks up on it and goes nuts (excuse the poor choice of wording LOL). Those controlling competitive sperms. They can't help it. Though I guess that doesn't necessarily have anything to do with taxes now does it. Well, anyway, to sum it up, taxes drive everyone loony. In fact, the paper I had to search for was a paper for tax. Darn tax.

MSY - Hi! Does MSY stand for Missy? At any rate, Welcome!! First off, congrats on your twins! Second off, congrats on taking off 20 pounds! Third off,...well, I don't know of a third off, but you're here, and that should count. We're happy to have you. I remember when I first joined a thread (actually this one LOL), and I had no idea who anybody was and I never thought I'd figure it out. It takes a little extra time when there isn't a face to connect with the name, but hang in there! We're very happy to have you!

Debbbbbbbbbbbbbb - So glad to hear that skiing was fun and that DD showed off her stuff on the snowboard! As for your P90X and getting excited about it - you can't deny there are TONS of people singing the praises of P90X, and tons more people on the verge of buying it. I'm sure once you get fully started into it that you'll see a bit of a change in your body and then you'll be more than motivated to keep it up! Just don't tell us how great it's working for you, because I really don't need to go to make arrangements to try to buy the thing LOL.

All right. Have a great Tuesday and chat with you again later!

Hugs, hugs, hugs! :*

Corrie - I'm on my way out and had one minute to check the open forums and saw your comment on the "this is personal" thread...and your comment about looking angry and tired totally made me laugh out loud!!!

Okay, I'm clothed and outta here!

OMG, that was one of your best posts ever August! I agree with Jen, I love them and look forward to them every morning.

I totally forgot to tell you guys that I made chicken and barley soup for dinner the other night... I also put wild rice in. It was SO good.

Hasn't anybody noticed all the naked workouts that are on the websites that sell the DVD's? They're totally awful workouts, I'm sure... and half of them look like they were made in the 80's (leg warmers, white-blond hair and headbands... and lots and lots of pink and turquoise). Here's a link to one: http://www.cduniverse.com/productinfo.asp?pid=1577262 ---LMAO!!

And, OMG, I would NEVER work out naked! I'd probably end up crying myself to sleep after seeing all that jiggling.

I haven't decided on a birthday gift for Ryan yet. I think I might do a digital scrapbook of our 6 years together (or his whole life). And I think we are going to go to a ski resort for the day/evening and probably overnight. It should be lots of fun (and it includes a massage for both of us!!) I've never had a REAL massage.

And don't worry Jen. Every woman I've talked to says their 30's were the best decade. Maybe because you've got uber-confidence, but are still young enough to have a bunch of fun??

August>>I've come to realize that I love to work my biceps and shoulders. LOL.>> I love to work my biceps and shoulders too! I don't much care for working the chest or back (honestly, who ever sees those parts?) And I hate pushups. Does anyone here like them? If so, you should be shot. Just kidding. I love you all. :*

LMAO about your cockroach story August - "I started to fall fast asleeeeee HMF!! (Help Me Friends) It wasn't the sheet tickling my body, but Cocky Roach out for a little stroll on my nakedness."

Yuck, I hate those cocky roaches.

OK, I better get some more work done. Its only 8:30 after all. I don't need to go to bed for another couple hours. ;(

Good night!

August, your Cocky Roach story had me LOL. You should introduce Mr Roach to Chedd.

I'm supposed to do a 20 min run today, but it's going to be windy and in the teens, so I'm looking for a substitute. Dang, another delimma. Any suggestions.

Time to head to work. I'll try to catch up with all of you later.

still around, although have done NO exersize and eating like a pig
Leaving Thursday for NY for the mass and memorial luncheon, Im sure it will still be eat eat eat I await getting back to my normalcy

and I HATE push ups and I HATE jumping jacks

I find it fascinating that the disclaimer on the "Nude Cardiovascular Workout" is "Contains nudity". Isn't that blatantly obvious from the title? No? Oh well, just me I guess:p

I'm at home with a sick kid today. Guilt over sending a sick child to school won out over the the guilt over not going to work. I'll probably get fired. *sigh*

August - you crack me right up.

I'll be back later for personals.

Good morning!!

Okay, I need to make this fast, very very fast, because I didn't do my w/o yesterday and I HAVE TO do it today. I have to! I spent the day glued to my computer and I can't do that again. It didn't help matters that I only got about 3 hours of sleep Sunday night, either, but I'm rested now and I need to spring into action before I lose the motivation.

>>It wasn't the sheet tickling my body, but Cocky Roach out for a little stroll on my nakedness. Needless to say, we were BOTH pretty surprised. I swear that when I jumped straight up off my bed, Cocky and I stood shocked, looking straight at each other, both doing double-takes for a good five seconds before both scurrying away.<<

I need therapy after reading this -- ROTFLMAO!!

Robin, Shelley (good for you for staying home with Sophie), Jen, Arista, MSY, Dana, Diane, Corrie, Mariah, Kara (we miss you), and ALL -- I'll BBL. I'm going in! If you don't hear from me in a couple of hours, call 911 ;(

What a kooky bunch we are. I love it.

I'm driving north today, got new brakes on my car done yesterday and I'm really looking forward to having the wind in my hair and the Sirius radio blasting! Its sunny too, so it should be a beautiful drive. You know when you just desperately need anything other than what ordinarily happens to happen that day? Well today's that day for me and I'm so glad I'm getting out of this house!

Ryan can take care of all the stuff today. Mama's gettin' out of town!!

I have no idea why I refer to myself as 'mama'... I'm only a mother to animals (which I LOVE) and plants. I think I use the term mainly as a comedic effect. I picture an old woman in a lace dress and Mary Janes getting up out of her rocker to jump in her red sports car and have an adventure. And Ryan and I totally crack up when we hear couples call each other "Father" and "Mother" (which my grandparents did).

SHelley - I hope you don't get fired! Unless you want to. I've felt that way before. Yeah, I guess they thought noone would take the title seriously? Nude Cardiovascular Workout? Are you kiddin' me? I hope they don't do too much jumping around! Ouch.

Michele - Don't worry, I only walked a mile yesterday and definitely didn't do a strenuous workout. I hope you're enjoying your workout.

Mariah - Thank you. I'm glad you hate pushups too. Together, we will really dislike them! So there pushups. Have a safe trip on Thursday and stop worrying about your eating for now. Just take it easy.

I'll be back to check in tonight most likely.

I hope Mariah, August, Robin, Michele, Shelley, Terri, Diane, Dana, Cora, Kara, MSY, Jen and anyone I might've missed has a TERRIFIC day today!!

Ok ladies, I'm back on track today. I realize I need to exercise in the AM or else it just ain't gonna happen. By the time I get home from work I'm too exhausted mentally/physically/emotionally to do a workout. I have been getting up at 5am to do my cardio and do my weights on my days off or after work. Today is a day off, so I'll do cardio during one baby nap and weights during the second baby nap.

I hate push-ups and kick boxing and crunches - the list goes on and on. :)

Robin - good luck with the rotation. It sounds like you are off to a rocky start due to the weather, but I'd like to hear how it goes as I have never done a rotation and usually just try to do so many cardio and weight sessions a week.

Shelley - can they fire you for having to stay home with a sick child? That's terrible! How's the business start up going?

August - I don't know who this Ched guy is, but he sounds like a stinker. I used to live in New Orleans, and those cockroaches are very bold. They will dive bomb you and once I had one fall from the ceiling and land on my head in the middle of the night! (I still have PTSD about that)

Michele - I hope you can force yourself from the computer to do LIC. The cardio is the best. In fact, that's what I'm going to do right now! I love the music.

Slowly, but surely, I will learn all of you guys. Hope you're all having great days!

MSY - hi!!! I don't think that I said hello to you yet did I? So hello! :+ My son is around the same age as your DD's, Gannon was born Oct 2 so that makes him, what, 17 months? I also have a 5.5 year old. I have about 40lbs that I want to lose. I am 18lbs away from my pre-preg weight and then I would like to lose 24 from there. It is hard isn't it? I see you work too. I also work FT and it is so hard to get in a workout at night. I keep telling the girls here that I need to switch to a.m. workouts, but I need to get up at 4:00 and I can't. I think I have only gotten up 2x at 4:00 to workout. Are you following any particular diet plan? I did WW and that worked, I need to start logging my foods.

August - that cock roach story is disgusting!!! I hate bugs and if it was me that happened to, I probably would've had a heart attack. Did I give a big welcome back to Mr. Ched? If not, Ched, it is great to see you are back. Just a heads up, you may want to hide in the back of the fridge though, seems like something keeps happening to you when you are exposed and out in the open. You poor thing.
Hey, do you have the Pilates Super Burn workout? I was checking out collage and that looks like a good one. It is only $15.

Arista - so where are you going on your roadtrip? Sounds like a fabulous day. It is only 14 degrees here so definitely not a good day for a trip. I'm w/you on a naked workout. Everything would be flipping and flopping around. Although I will admit to working out in a sportsbra and underwear during the summer. Thank God nobody saw me - oh what a sight that would've been. ^5 on the hating pushups, me too. Sometimes I just sit there and watch as Cathe and crew does them, LOL.

Michele - Hey! OK I'm confused. Is Mel the one you bought the HRM for? I'm so out of the loop it isn't funny. I hope that nobody has to call 911 on you.

Shelley - would your place of employment really consider firing you for taking care of a sick child? That is absurd!!!! How is your DD feeling?

Jen - I see you are back to your working-out-workaholic-self. I hope you take a rest day this week. So glad you are feeling better.

Robin - what did you decide to do in place of the run? It is frigid outside isn't it?? I am so ready for spring.

Terri - Hi. How is your rotation going?

Diane - how are you and the little bean?

Mariah - I don't like pushups either (maybe if I could pump em out like Cathe I'd have a different attitude). Actually, chest is my least fave body part to work. Have a safe trip. Don't worry about not working out and overeating, you'll be back home and back to your normal life soon and then you can concentrate on the fitness and nutrition. You've had too much going on in the past few weeks. Don't be so hard on yourself.

Last night when DH came home from work, he pretty much acted like nothing happened. I let it go b/c I felt like crap and was not in the mood to argue. I took 2 Musinex & a tylenol PM and crashed at 8:45. Gannon would not go to sleep or I would've been sleeping sooner. The last workout I did was PowerHour on Friday night. I am still really conjested and my nostrils feel like they are closed shut. I haven't had a cold like this in a long time. So, if, and that is a big if, I do workout tonight, it is going to be something light. (maybe eli and abs)

Hello to everyone else! I don't mean to be rude and forget anyone.
Have a wonderful day haters!

For those of you who asked, Greyor, my grandson, is now home and doing well. He still gets a like wheezey if he cries and he has to eat thickened formula, but otherwise things are back to normal.

Dana, I haven't decided what to do this afternoon instead of a run. I'll probably just pick out a step workout and do it for about 20 min. I have to workout when I get home from work in the afternoon. I get up at 4:30 to shower, drink coffee, do daily devotions and play on the computer. I've tried a couple times to workout that early, but I'm always afraid I'll injure myself, since I'm still half asleep.

Arista, have fun on your day off. Where were you headed and what did you do there?

MSY - this is about the 3 month I've tried following a rotation. I've gotten over the phobia of missing one of the workouts or having to substitute for something I don't have. It is kind of nice to not have to make the decision of what workout to do.

Michele, it's been a couple hours. I'm headed for the phone. Have you completed your workout?

Mariah, hope you are totally enjoying the food and family. See you soon.

Shelley, how's the marathon training going? Have you found one to run in yet? Is Sophie any better yet? Hope so.

Alright, back to the darkroom with me. I'm trying to teach myself all there is to know about antibiotics, how they work and why some bacteria are resistant. It is HARD! I may take a break and be back. If not, I'll try to check in after I do whatever workout I do this afternoon.

Here's my review of LIC; it is hard.

It's been eons since I've done a step workout and I can't wait for my cardio day so I can hop on my elliptical and listen to Coach Sean whisper in my ear.

I'm hungry now -- I'll BB for personals after I eat something.

I really feel like i cant wait to get back to normal routine
proper eating (I felt a whole lot better too) and exersize
i guess once you get used to caring about yourself its hard to go back to not caring

Hey everyone, I am tired tonight so going to keep this short... and I probably won't post at all tomorrow night so it'll be Thursday evening before I am back. I have "training" from 8-5 tomorrow. I plan to be at work by 7:15 so I can do a few things before 8 & I'm planning on staying until at least 6 to get caught up...if I have a second between 5-6 I'll hop online at work & say hey. When I leave work I plan on running some errands so it'll be late before I am home.

EVERYONE- Have a wonderful HUMP DAY!

August- Thank goodness you are back, god love ya! Sorry you had to get dressed today, that really stinks. I feel your pain, I would live in my jammies if I could. That story about the cockroach, I would've DIED! Hey, it isn't bad to sleep au naturale...I do EVERY night...okay, TMI, right?!?! ;-) Tell Mr. Choco Raisin I said, "hey, what's up man?" for me! My mom was telling a story one day about my brother & said his age, 31 & I was like...no he isn't, he is only 2 years older than me & I'm 28...yep, I was wrong...29 I am so I'm already forgetting, that can't be good! x(

Arista- I am going to check out that website next!!! Did you have a nice drive, mama???

Robin- What workout did you end up doing instead of the 20 min run?
Thanks for letting us know how Greyor is doing!

Mariah- Still in my thoughts & prayers, take care & don't fret over what you eat. Stress burns calories & you can workout when your life is settled back down. Have a safe trip.

Shelley-So, you already checked out the nude workout...that is where I am heading next!! I really hope Sophie is feeling better soon. You sound like me with my job, I get stressed more when I call in, damn anxiety with the job, what is that all about??

Michele- >>I need therapy after reading this -- ROTFLMAO!!<<
Too funny, are you going to ask August to pay for your therapy?;-)

MSY- Do you like jumping jacks though? You didn't mention them, I try to do 200 a day! Yes, I am weird before you ask! ;-)

Dana- Tomorrow night is my rest day...I always take one a week! If you have a cold like that you shouldn't do any cardio, maybe light floor leg work or something but not cardio, that will make it worse!! Really it will & I'm not just saying that because I HATE CARDIO!! Are you feeling any better? Has the DH said he is sorry yet?

Corrie, Diane, Terri, Kara, Deb, any anyone I may have forgotten, really sorry if I did, hope you all are doing great.

Terri-kind of worried about you, haven't heard from you on here or on e-mail, if you are lurking let me know you are okay & just busy.

Off to find some food...:)

Good evening everyone!

I just drank a zillion calorie kaluha and milk :9 and am feeling very relaxed.

August - AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH. I could not handle having a cockroach on me ;(. I was working down in South Carolina when I had my first and only encounter. Because of a hurricane, I had to stay at a friend's house. She was giving the tour of her house....turned on the bathroom light....picked up a towel off the floor...then SCREAMED. A giant, creepy, BUG (*shivers*) FLEW across the floor and disappeared. You are going to laugh, but I "slept" with the lights on, on TOP of the covers that night. I had to have shower the next day and her shower curtain was dark with a weird pattern...it was the fastest shower I ever had!!! Thanks for bringing back that memory!!

Anyway, thanks for the cheery posts, they are a great way to start the day.

Okay, everyone, I lied:eek:, I had 2 kaluha and milks and DH is pouring me a third. I know it's bad to be drinking and having fun on a TUESDAY, but he HAS been gone for three weeks. It's pretty bad when he is home, we always act we are on vacation for 2 weeks! I manage to keep up with my workouts, but boy, my clean eating gets dirty!

I really want to say hi to you all individually so I get to know you better, but tonight, I might slur my words and make a bad impression as I dance around to Nickleback's "Pants Around Your Feet". :p (Just finished with a Pussycat Dolls lineup.) So I will try to catch everyone tomorrow morning.

Have a good night everyone,
Corrie

Hiya~

I had kind of a crazy evening -- my sister called and then DH came home early -- so I wasn't able to get back here to do personals.

August, have you done away with Ched? LMAO!

Dana, Mel is Melody who used to post a lot in the <--- and Chinners threads. She and I often refer to each other as "sis" because we have so many odd things in common -- genetic type things. Anyway, she's an absolute doll and I miss her like crazy. She doesn't have much time to post anymore but she pops in every once in awhile. To answer your question, I bought the HRM for my flesh and blood sister. She just celebrated her 50th Bday and that's what she wanted. I also sent her a box of fancy schmancy chocolates.

Jen, we'll miss you tomorrow. What kind of training are you having? It sounds like you're going to have a mighty long day at work. By all means, check in with us even if it's only for a second. --You're right, I should make August pay for my therapy. LMAO!!

Arista, I think your Bday plans for Ryan sound awesome!! I hope you had a fun day.

Corrie, it sounds like you might be having too much fun!! LMAO!

Robin, I saw in the <--- thread that you did teh blasts form Low Max instead of your run. I think running would be easier. OMG, I had almost forgotten how hard Cathe's step w/o's are!

Shelley, Robin, Terri (where are you?:* ), Kara, Mariah, and all -- I'll see y'all tomorrow.

I'm fading fast here, so I better get to bed. I made a pact with myself that I was going to try to go to bed early from now on. I'm so sleep deprived and I fear it's affecting my mood and my weight. I took measurements today for the first time in years and I was really shocked and kind of depressed about it. But, well, depression is a self indulgent luxury that I can't afford, so I'm forging ahead and with a renewed determination to complete this rotation, even if it kills me...and it just might  :7

G'night all:* :* :*

HI all,

Just wanted to pop in to say I had a nice road trip up north to the 'country', the town where I grew up (and until 3 months ago, lived). Its a tiny town called Curlew in Northeastern Washington. Pretty, but poverty-stricken and for a happenin' chick like myself, a bit boring.

Michele - LMAO about your LIC review "it is hard". Yep, couldn't have said it better myself. And I agree about the sleep. I've read studies that say a lack of it can definitely affect your weight and mood. I need to get to bed myself, but I made the mistake of drinking an iced coffee around 6 pm. Stupid!!

Jen - I love jumping jacks!! I could do them all day. They are such an effortless way to get your heart rate up. ANd I LOVE effortless.

Dana - I'm sorry you're still feeling upset with DH and your cold sounds miserable. I hope you feel better in the morning. One thing I've learned about fighting with my guy, is sometimes its better just to let sleeping dogs lie. Yeah, it doesn't mean I'm not mad or he wasn't wrong, but talking about it sometimes doesn't make it any better (unless he's fully ready to grovel at my feet). I hope your DH grovels soon. :)

Mariah - I hope your trip goes well. Maybe doing a little workout or taking a walk would lift your spirits? Sometimes I get really jazzed after a fun workout... and sometimes I HATE it. }( Either way, I hope your week and weekend goes well.

MSY - I'm so with you on the morning workouts. I always put it off until the afternoon and then never do it because I'm too tired or too caught up with what I'm doing. I decided that tomorrow morning, I'm putting on the track suit and leaving it on until I go running (which I've set a goal to leave the house by 7 - we'll see about that.)

OK, to beddy bye I go. Good night to everyone I missed.
:* Sleep tight, don't let the bed bugs (or cockroaches) bite.
