Mooo moo!
Okay. This is ridiculous. I've decided to schedule a week off from working out rather than mull about them daily and half-a$$ do them. So I'm taking a planned rest until Sunday. You won't be hearing me talk about any rotations or workout DVD until then! I'm resting! And chewing slowly!
Is this the first time I've had an exercise slump? Have I talked about this before? I'm kind of surprised at myself about it. Come to think about it, I've also been taking deep naps in the middle of the afternoon.
Yup, this week's goals are resting and chewing slowly.
In fact, maybe I'll go chew something slowly right now.
And then take a nap. :*
Dana - I wish my organic store had as much fun choice as your farmer's market. The veggies and especially the fruit are fairly limited and the prices are really scary. I do my best to ignore them since I know that organic is so much better for you (or supposedly so much better for you). But I do have to buy some veggies and fruits at a different store, or else I'd only ever eat apples and bananas (a package of organic strawberries is about $8 - it had about 8 giant strawberries...I didn't invest in them).
Last night Mom and I went to eat something called Okonomi-yaki. It's a big blob of cabbage and chopped veggies mixed with a small amount of batter, an egg, some seafood (or whatever you ask for) and squished down until it becomes what looks like a giant thick pancake. It's really yum, and Mom loves it.
Hey, awesome for you for sticking with your no junk thing! I wonder if that's what's been having an effect on your DH. Anyway, that's great that he's looking into getting in better shape.
Shelley - Oh yeah, yeah, now I remember. Chew food slowly, THEN swallow. I shouldn't be working and checking the Hate thread every five minutes. It gets confusing and then I post weird information LOL.....I have no regular work hours whatsoever. My schedule changes daily and is varied throughout the year. Sometimes I'm really busy, and never here (I work half in my apartment and half out somewhere else when needed), sometimes I'm totally free and always here, sometimes I'm really busy and always here...meetings will suddenly pop up or get changed, there will be spurts when I'm always out of town...I can't plan a dang thing. But I love it.
Ooh, the bracelet is very pretty!
Jen - Hi there! I hope you're not being TOO busy!...Wow, 79! How great! That must have been a really nice preview to the spring! Lucky you!
Michele - I'm concerned about kitty. How is he doing now? Has his appetite bounced back to its normal self? I hope it's nothing and he'll be back to scarfing down his food like me.
Um, the Pilates was to be done in lieu of my cardio. Heh.
LOL at your donut story. It's like the opposite version of my donut story when I went into a clothing store to ask about the donut shop and they told me it had gone out of business and left. Of course, I didn't buy any clothing, but they didn't smell yummy anyway.
I totally can't believe you have a guy come to your home every month to exterminate! Do you think HE could be bringing in the critters in order to lengthen the contract you have with them? LOL.
>If you get it you can play with August in her Village.
Oh yes, yes, please, please!
>He really drives me crazy sometimes. Do a forum search for Christmas Tree and you'll see what I mean
LMAO!!
Wow, that's great about the family trip. That must take some mongo preparation and planning. I'm so excited for you that you'll be able to have your trip with DH in Italy finally.
Uh oh. But come to think of it, what are you going to do about shoes?! You might want to raid Heather's place! Just don't let her think you're a robber or she might whip your butt by mistake.
Congrats on choosing a rotation. I want the nitty gritty. I'll be needing to do that rotation really soon. x( :7
Terri - Oh man, I do NOT know the secret to long plant life. Mine is living on a miracle.
>My left knee has started clicking when I do lunges and squats - is that a bad sign?
LOL.
That's good to hear that the meeting with the attorney went so well and that things are rolling. I'll keep my fingers crossed that it'll be quick!
Becky -
>I am perimenopausal and hypothyroid at the same time so bare with me!!!
LMAO!
Learning who is who and everything is totally wiggy when you don't have a face to go with the name. When I first joined, there were less members and I still had a heck of a time. When I write my posts, I always write my comments into an email first - reading and responding, reading and responding, and then when I'm done, I copy it into the forum.
That's nice that your parents live across the street. They must love that! And you can rest easy that they're safe and having fun.
Thank goodness Glo Worm was spared his life. LOL.
Robin - How cool to be able to take a family trip like that. Do you do that every year?
>a donut would never get to puberty in my house.
LMAO.
So glad to hear that you're pleased with the color paint you chose. Wow, it's all gonna be so great when it's finished!
Arista - Wow, that is the most amazing day you have planned for Ryan's birthday. And it is the most romantic day you have planned to ask him to marry you. It's really amazing how you were able to get everything ready with your schedule. No matter what the answer, what you've done is something totally cool.
But we'll still wish for a good answer. Man, the time must be coming up as I write. I'm nervous for you!
How great that you're enjoying running so much. That must be great to enjoy running. So sad I'll never see that day. LOL.
Corrie - That really does suck about the guy downstairs. I mean, writing that letter was one thing (if things were really bugging him, he could have just talked to you about it, for crying out loud, but hey, I can understand the need not to feel confrontational), but writing the letter in such a rude way...I mean, how could anyone not feel ruffled? Have you seen him after getting his rude letter?
Oh, an ode to Ched would have been so nice. I could write a little jig for Miss Avocado, in hopes that it would make her perk up some, but I fear she's a lost cause. Odes and jigs! They're not hot sellers in the music biz, but they should be! LOL. I myself do mostly pop/club.
How romantic that your DH helped you pick out an outfit! And woo hoo for the size 6! I'm glad to hear your trip was so fun.
>I am so excited for you that you are starting to rub off on your DH. Oops, that didn't sound right.
LMAO.
Oh man, if anyone told me to "calm down" I'd bop them one.
How funny that you got IMAX 2 first of Cathe's DVDs. Good for you for trying something else of hers before just giving up. I wonder what the first DVD of hers I got was. I think it may have been the Gym Style series. The day after I did all those calf raises was the beginning of a really embarrassing week.
Diane -
>Your girls are so aborable!
That reminded me of Scoobie Doo.
Deb - LOL, you nut about the raised donuts! What do you call them? Cake donuts and raised donuts! That's always how I've called them! "I will raise this cake donut to my mouth!"
Mariah -
>I forgot that even though i am fat all over i do have skinny ankles and wrists but that only tells me i cant say i have big bones
LMAO!
Wow, twins that are a boy and girl. How fun!
If you go here and scroll down, you'll see the steel-cut oats :

Personally, I love goo, so regular oatmeal does it better for me. Steel-cut is chewy and....I don't know how to explain it...Yucky. :* No, no, in general, people seem to love it, so chances are you'll likely love it, too!
On that note.
Have a wonderful Wednesday!
