HATE - Mar 12

August

Cathlete
Cheeeeeeeeeeeeewd morning!

It's really sunny and beautiful over here...and yet I'm freezing my butt off!

I'm dressed and ready to go out the door, broken Nintendo DS Lite in hand and Pyr Upper Premix under my belt.

Michele - I was LMAO at your kind reminders to me to chew. I'm going to keep them running in my head while I'm out and eating today.

You know, I was kind of relieved to see what you wrote about how I had been doing more cardio before so this break from it would sort of even things out. I like that thinking!

So some of the ants are staying away from the bait, eh? Wow. Those smarty p-ants. How long is it you're supposed to wait again?

Oogi is doing well, thank you. She's paid off her last house loan and now has several rooms full of ripe radishes for the Stalk Market, just waiting for the big kill! Since it's Spring, she decided to have her house painted hot pink, and I must say it looks lovely! The fishing tournament is this Saturday, so she's going to try to catch something big in the next few days and store it at home in a tank.

Your Mom's bday is the same day that Heather will reward you with the recipe for completing the rotation? Wow, now that's great incentive!

MSY -

>yelled at the top of her lungs "a penis butter sandwich!"

LMAO!.....................sounds fattening.

Hope you had a good treadmill.

Arista -

>I just love food so much, I prefer to scarf it down.

LMAO.

Yes, I think a little less cardio is sitting well with me. I even threw in Tamilee Webb's I Want That series into my rotation. I haven't done that DVD since...well, sheesh, that was the first weight workout I ever got! I can't wait to (hopefully) really impress myself.

Your talk about proposing to Ryan totally took me off guard. You've got some massive b*lls, Arista. Course, you know Ryan and how he might react to various things,...and if you think the timing is right, I say, you're awesome! I could totally feel the energy coming out of your post. I wish you the best on your feeling and instinct, and hope that Ryan will reciprocate.

Deb - I think if you want to get the Texas Sheet Cake recipe, you're going to have to cheer on Michele for a particular rotation. From what I understand, the recipe is her reward for its completion.

Before I get to the heart of the great info you wrote, I just have to tell you that I LMAO soooooo loud to see that you are snacking on :

>some cut green paper

I've never heard of that plan! But now that it's written out, I can see how that would make you lose weight. Is there any reasoning to choosing green paper as opposed to say, blue paper?

LMAO!!

Anyway, I read with great interest about your experience following your he!!ish GS rotation. Thanks for writing such detail. I totally hear what you're saying. In the last couple weeks, I too, have been really pushing myself to workout and whenever it's a cardio day, I end up subbing something for it that's totally not cardio and something that's short. I'm not sure why I'm feeling that way, unless...

Has anyone heard of some kind of curse that comes with doing Gym Style?

LOL.

I'd been doing 60-70 minutes of exercise for a while and really enjoying it and having no trouble doing it......I didn't see that it was leading me down Burn Out Road (sorry, that was totally cheesy, but it had to be written LOL). I happened to get fairly burned out (without really knowing it) while I've been having a busy spell at work, and being out all the time also had me allowing myself to eat things that I hadn't been eating at all (junk). Then one day I suddenly didn't want to put on gym shoes. Or my HRM. Or my sports bra LOL.

But luckily suddenly a couple days ago, I've felt something of a shift in my eating. I'm suddenly naturally not wanting to eat junk. (Which ain't to say I'm not getting donuts when I come across a donut shop.) And like you, I've been snacking on fruit. I'm hoping the change of rotation starting the first of next month (I'm anal - I've got to finish up this month's rotation - insert eye roll here) will bring me new inspiration.

I've also got lots of out-of-town weekends coming up that I'm hoping will bring me new donut shops, but that's another thing altogether.

Wait a minute - note to self : CHEW.

Anyway, I think your waiting to start P90X is a really wise one.

Jen - The egg white oatmeal pancakes are totally yum!

Here's what I do :

4 egg whites
A scoop of raw oatmeal
A sliced banana
A couple tablespoons of frozen blueberries

Topping = Cinnamon and a tbsp of organic peanut butter

Mix em all up together and then put them in a frying pan and make a pancake (or a scramble, as I usually end up doing).

Kara - I'm sending you TOP GRADE A vibes on your final!!

Okay. I'm dressed and ready. Later!

And one last reminder : CHEW. :D

I Hate Bugs!!!

Oh, friends of Hateville, I am checking in after midnight because I actually have a “hate” check-in to post. I hate cockroaches. Eek! I just had a war with a Texas-size cockroach. Never fear. I won. Actually, my vacuum cleaner won! Being the non-violent person I am, I hate to kill. I have flushed a few crickets down the toilet. It isn’t my fault if they can’t swim! I always feel like Satan himself has visited when I see one of them. I hate crickets. Nasty! I flush crickets down the toilet and suck roaches up in my vacuum cleaner. I have a bagless vacuum cleaner with a clear cannister. Mr. Cockroach circled around for a few minutes. He is resting quietly in a pile of dust and carpet fuzz now. I think he is sleeping. Shhh. Please do not wake him. I do not want him tapping on the cannister all night and begging me to let him out. I promise to release him outside tomorrow morning. Please pray that his friends do not stage a rescue operation while I am sleeping. That is my only concern about letting him live. The other cockroaches in town might hear his cries for help and try to intervene. LOL!

Michele, I forgot to tell you that a package of yours was delivered to me by mistake. I just know it. My exterminator makes a routine service call once a month. I let him know that I was not having any bug problems this month. He left some ant motels on my counter. I tried to run after him and catch him while shouting, “Mr. Bug Man! Mr. Bug Man! There has been a big mistake! The ant motels go to my friend Michele.” LOL! Michele, these are prescription treatment ant stations. I did not know that they made prescriptions for ants. Can ants get addicted to prescription drugs? LOL! Did you do your cardio today?

I need a shoe intervention. Yes, my name is Heather. I am a fitness shoe junkie! I am in the process of clearing clutter out of my home. Oh my, this is a Texas-size task. I pulled out all my workout shoes today from the closet and all the other hiding places. I discovered 22 pairs of workout shoes. Yes, you read that right. I have special shoes for special workouts. Cardio workouts, of course. I am not as picky about my weight training shoes. But I have special shoes for Rhythmic Step, and different shoes for dancy hi-lo workouts by Christi and Kari. I have IMAX3 shoes. I have Boot Camp shoes. I have shoes just for Cathe’s new series. And I am hoping to start running later this year. More shoes! No wonder I do not have room to store all of them! It is my goal to reduce my collection to a respectable dozen.

I need to get to bed now. Goodnight. Sleep tight. Don’t let the bed bugs (or roaches or ants) bite. If they do, hit ‘em with a shoe and say, “I don’t want to sleep with you!” :7

P.S. Michele, you need a jellyroll pan for the Texas sheet cake. ;-) :9

Blessings,
Heather B.

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us” (Hebrews 12:1 NIV).

RE: I Hate Bugs!!!

LOL at all of Heather's workout shoes. And I thought I was bad with a pair of shoes for step, a pair for running and a pair for weight work.

Arista, good luck with the big question. I'm so excited and hope you get a big hug, smacky kisses and a YES!

August, also LOL at your chewing issues. I'm another fast eater. I'll try to insert your chews into my meals too.

The weekend was crazy with work and lots of errands after work. I hope this week is slower. Yesterday I did B&G. Today, the rotation calls for LIC premix 3.

The forecast is calling for warmer temperatures here this week. I hope spring is finally here. Hope you all have a wonderful springlike day. Later haters.

RE: I Hate Bugs!!!

Hey gals-

Arista-I'm sending Happy thoughts your way in regards to the big question-
I'm by no means an expert but eating clean for me has meant snacking on fruits and veggies as opposed to chocolate bars, eating more veggies with every meal, eating more lean proteins, not having a candy bar or cookies 3-4 x week and I'm not eating chips or tortilla chips.I would say the only unhealthy foods I eat or drink are 2 cups of coffee a day with splenda & skim milk/special K bars (1/day)/and whenever chocolates around I just can't eat it or I won't stop (I'll treat myself in a week or 2)-and I also have 1 glass of wine a week when I'm watching my favorite show on TV-

August-yeah I'm losing a lot of weight on the cut green paper diet LOL-thats supposed to be cut green pepper (wait I think I'll try the paper it's probably tastier)-

Hello to everyone else--deb

RE: I Hate Bugs!!!

Goodness, you guys are chatty for a Monday. The most I can get out is "ibhapfngbkj". You can make of that what you will.

August - CHEW!!! Especially the donuts. Chew them the most.

Heather - 22 pairs of workout shoes???? Will any of them fit the cockroach sleeping in your vacuum? I think you need an intervention.

Robin - I hope your springlike weather arrives. We're supposed to get SNOW on Friday. Oh joy.

What's this about Arista proposing? *runs to check yesterday's thread*

Can it be Friday?

Good morning!!

I have two things I need to do before I can take time out for personals. I lost something yesterday -- a beautiful Italian leather bookmark -- and I just located it!! It's in a little restaurant where I ate breakfast yesterday! Someone found it and turned it in. My faith in mankind has been restored. I need to fetch it now, and then I want to get my workout over with. I HAVE to stop procrastinating! Wish me luck on that -- I really need it.;)

I'll BB in a bit :*

Hey haters! How is everyone this fine day? I didn’t log on at all this weekend. I briefly skimmed through the posts and I see Arista has some excitement coming up??? Wow, you are one brave woman! LOL. How exciting though. And an hour run! Good for you!!! Promise us you’ll take a break and try to check in – we’ll miss you!

Heather you crack me up. I never have had Texas Sheet cake either, but it does sound delicious. Guess us Northerners don’t know what we’re missing, huh? 22 pairs of workout shoes??? Good God girly – I don’t even have 22 pairs of assorted shoes, yet alone 22 pairs soley for working out. Yes, I think you have an addiction. You know, I have only ever seen a cockroach 1 time in my life. I was having one of those parties where a hostess (or whatever you call them), brings their products to your home to set up and then you have friends come over and buy stuff. I think she brought a cockroach in one of her boxes. And speaking of sucking up bugs with the vaccum cleaner. When I used to live w/my parents, we had major lady bugs. I’m talking hundreds, thousands of them. So I sucked up a whole slew of them that were in my bedroom and thought, HA!! I got you suckers! Well, when I woke up the next morning, they were baaaack!!!! The all crawled back out threw the hose. Guess they showed me!

Michele – how are you doing today? So what kinds of vacations do you and your DH have planned for the summer? That is great that someone turned in your bookmark - you would've done the same thing. So what w/o did you do?

Shelley – How was dancing on Friday night? (forgive me if you already posted this)

August – have you brought up the proposition for your manager to get you some KK’s? I bet he won’t have any objections. I was just asking someone for directions and guess what – turn left at the donut shop! I thought of you!!! It is only Dunkin’ Donuts though, not KK. And I got the 50 minute Windsor DVD.

Robin - I am so happy that the springlike weather is here (at least for this week). I have to do some errands during lunch so I can't take a walk but I am planning on getting out the rest of the week.

Jen – your workouts for the week look good.

Cora – how was your weekend with your hubby!

Saturday night we went out for dinner w/that same couple I talked about before (the drunk) and another guy. These are all my DH’s racing friends. We were supposed to go to this one restaurant that we all liked and meet there at 6:00. Well she calls on Saturday afternoon to change the restaurant and make the time later (7:00). I was talking to my FIL and I told him I bet anything that she changed the restaurant b/c it is non-smoking. I was right. DH stopped up at the garage and when he asked why the plans were changed it was b/c she can’t smoke there. How rude! So we meet at the place she picked (a bar/restaurant) and they no longer serve dinners!! (just burgers) So we ended up going to Quaker Steak & Lube and my DH beat her in there so we could reserve our table in the non-smoking section. She is so self-centered. Out of the 5 of us, she is the only smoker! DH & I already decided we are not going out w/them anymore. She is just too much to handle (with her drunkedness (is that a word??) and her chain smoking.

We may be getting a treadmill. DH (who does not exercise at all) told his dad he was thinking about getting a treadmill. I’m thinking to myself, who the heck are you and where did my DH go). Maybe next weekend I’ll talk him into to going to Dick’s or Sears. He does need to take better care of himself so hopefully this is a step in the right direction.

I am feeling 99% better, thank God for antibiotics. Today is yet another boring day here at work. Nothing to do at all. As soon as nice weather is here, I’m taking a vacation day.

OK, since Jen is optimistic and posting her workouts for the week, this is what I would like to do this week: (subject to change of course) and I’m including my new DVD’s so they better get here!

Monday: GS BSB
Tuesday: B&G timesaver premix; 2 mile walk
Wednesday: 6 mile walk
Thursday: Pilates; 2 mile walk
Friday: PowerStrike III; 2 mile walk
Saturday: PS Chest, Shoulders, Triceps;Drill Max cardio pre-mix; abs

Hi to Deb, Diane, Kara, MSY, Terri and anyone else that I missed.

hello all
no time to read all the posts i missed so ill have to read and hope i get the gist of things
home this morning from NY and the services all went well except i did no excersize and did nothing but pick on junk food
today i am back on track going out now to pick up stuff from store and get nails done then home to return to normal
hope to find time this evening to read thru posts

and remember "we" are going to figure a way for me to find a rotation that will work for me

Roach haters unite !!!

Good morning all,

This will be quick because I should be working right now.. shoulda, woulda, coulda.

Thank you so much for the support on the proposal thingy. Yeah, it'll take a bit of courage, but not that much. We talk about marriage like its going out of style, but he just doesn't have the ba!!s to ask (I guess), so we'll see how tomorrow night goes. Either way, tomorrow night will certainly change the course of my future from the ho-hum track its on now.

22 pairs of shoes!! I'm with Robin - I thought three or four was a lot! But even with the three or four that I have, none of them fit right. One pair is too tight, the other's too loose, one won't lace up properly, and the other one pinches my toes. Maybe I need 22 pairs!

Dana - Oooh, a treadmill. I hope your DH decides to stick with a new exercise plan. Its amazing how good exercise makes you feel. When Ryan works out, he's SO much happier and optimistic. Maybe I should've gotten him a treadmill instead of the white gold and diamond engagement band.... It's so awesome! I can't wait to give it to him. I know he's going to love it.

I'll try to post a pic of it while he's at work today.

Hi to everyone!! Michele - I'm glad you found your bookmark. Italian leather.. woo-eee! That's some high-class stuff! (Can you tell I grew up in the sticks?):p

Dana - I didn't go dancing on Friday night because I GOT STOOD UP! I was livid. The friend I was supposed to go with talked to me at 6:30 and everything was a go, then he never called again. I sat there until 11 in my going-out clothes and he never showed, never called, nothing.

Michele - I'm glad you found your bookmark. Now GO DO YOUR WORKOUT!

Arista - I'm all excited for you:)

Mariah - what kind of a rotation do you want? What are your goals? I wouldn't mind putting something together for you if you let me know what workouts you have, what your goals are and any other pertinent information.:)

Shelley that flat out sucks. Have you spoken to him since? I"d kill em if I were you. That is just inconsiderate. What a jerk!!!

He called me on Saturday afternoon and left me a message to say that he'd fallen asleep and not woken up until noon on Saturday. Yeah, right.x(

I forgot to post my planned workouts for the week, since everyone seems to be doing that.

Monday - GS Legs plus abs
Tuesday - 4 mile run
Wednesday - Muscle Endurance
Thursday - 4 mile run
Friday - Step Blast
Saturday - PUB
Sunday - 10 mile run

Is there no end to the stupidity that men can put forth on our small planet? I'm sorry about your dancing date Shelley. That really does suck. He fell asleep? Are you kiddin' me? He just laid down on the couch for a nap before going dancing? WTH?

OK, back to work.

Ill gather my tapes and dvd's and ill write to you basically what id like to do
I guess i was/am just looking for someone to help me put together some kind of plan and then maybe i can stick with it
i have obligations some nights so on those nights i usually just do a half hour workout with either a gilad or a denise austin
On my nights i have nothing to do I can do an hour Cathe or i can choose to go to the gym
I need to get back on my food plan, id like to lose about 20/30 lbs, tone up my thighs, inner and outer, try to lessen the appearance of the bat wings im carrying and also tone the rear and abs, ah sh..t! theres not a spot i dont NEED to tone and reduce

I went to Wal-Mart to get my nails done and to get salad, coffee creamer, and some dinner foods in the house and Wal-Mart was evacuated. I am still waiting to find out why, but its suspected a bomb threat may have been made.
Ill update people

Sorry I haven't checked in, I have had a horrible day at work today.

Beware of a MAJOR VENT ALERT!!

I have to vent about this horrible guy at work. He is in our New York office and we have to work on something together. He is the same seniority as me, which means not that important. Not to go into too much detail, but a while back he told me I DIDN'T need to keep doing this task I had been doing this whole time, just not to worry about it. Then a couple weeks later, the task came up again, I didn't do it (it was actually a partner above me that didn't do it), and he FREAKED OUT! Called me and yelled at me. Keep in mind that I did nothing wrong, there is no real reason to do this task, nothing happens or would conceivably happen from not doing this task, and this guy is the same seniority as me and has no business yelling at me. So I reminded him that he said not to do it, but he was still all upset, so I said I will do it in the future from now on.

Anyway, I thought that was over, but then today my boss came in all serious and said he got a call from this HUGELY IMPORTANT partner in New York saying that I was messing stuff up on this case. When I say huge, I mean a really really important guy that took the time out of his day to call and gripe about me to my boss. The stupid jerk went and made it seem like a big deal to his boss. WHAT A JERK!! Anyway, I explained what happened to my boss and he understood, but it is obviously still bad that he had to come talk to me as if I was in trouble. My boss wants to try to cut this guy out of the case now that he realizes he is just a major jerk and causing problems, but I don't think it is possible. My boss understands my position, but it is still a horrible situation and embarrassing for me. I am so frustrated, because I have to keep working with the guy and acting nice because we actually might need him. I wish I could fly up to NY and beat him up!

This same guy has caused major problems for other people more senior than me (talking back to senior people, acting like a jerk). I wish the partners would just realize his a total JERK.

Eiane
If your boss understands thats a step in the right direction. If he is in your corner, then he can step in when it arises again. Next time yiou have any interaction with this Jerk, why not bring it right to your boss, and tell him/her what you are going to do or not do. Then he is in the "know"

By the way my nephew had twins today HOORAY!!!

Mariah! Congrats to your nephew on twins!

And Diane, that guy sounds like an absolute idiot. I would definitely keep your boss in the know any time you have to interact with his jerkiness.

Oh, and by the way, I broke my Lent thing today and ate a cookie.x(

{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{EVERYBODY}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}

I just got home:eek: . I have been running around all day long and I'm whipped and starving. I want to do personals but I don't have time now. I'm just stopping in to say hello and let y'all know that you've been on my mind. It's so wild, but I really do think about each of you and wonder what you're up to on those days when I can't check in. :* :*

No, I haven't done my w/o yet, but I'm definitely going to. I went shopping today and all the spring/summer crap...er...clothes are out. I must take off some weight and tone up before my trip to Italy, and right now I'm about as motivated as I ever get :D ;(

HUGS:*

Diane, you're right -- that guy sounds like a total jerk.

Hey, Haters
Just a quick hello before B&G workout this evening. This a.m. it was KPC - I just love that workout! I hope in Cathe's next round of DVD's, she has another version of this.

Arista: good luck tomorrow night...we'll be anxiously awaiting any news Wednesday morning.

Mariah: glad to hear you're back home. Like Shelley said, we're here to support you and get you on a rotation.

Shelley: Asleep??!! Please...he should have been so excited to take you out dancing that he couldn't possibly have fallen asleep!

Dana: maybe DH is seeing the light? Hopefully once he starts a workout program, he'll understand how important it is to take turns watching the kids while the other works out.

August: song writer, eh? That's so cool...WOW - you must be so very creative. No wonder you work out of your house - once those creative juices start to flow, do you have to keep going without interruptions? Maybe you should write a song about chewing?

Diane: UGH - the corporate world really s*&(s! I worked for attorneys before and talk about politics!

Heather: 22 pairs of workout shoes? I love it! Do you have that many workouts to go with your shoes? How about outfits?

Alrighty, I'm off to do B&G in hopes that my B&G come off...

BBL,
Terri
