I just finished doing arms with Tamilee and abs with Cathe, and am getting ready to put my clothing on. Looks like a nice scorcher again outside today!

To those of you who don't understand that sentence (and that should be all of you LOL), it is in reference to a Japan news flash about a golden bathtub that someone STOLE.

How on earth does one steal a golden bathtub?! It's not the kind of thing you can slip under your windbreaker.

Not that I've ever slipped anything under my windbreaker when I was seven or so from the convenience store candy section.

Okay, but I honestly only did it once.

I hear you on the panic attack about the possibility of hosting and taking care of your MIL. That's a big adjustment, and just thinking about it gets all sorts of stuff rolling around in your head. I'm sorry to hear that your MIL was ill. It sounds like she must be doing a bit better?

I haven't been around and don't know much about the situation, so I might be writing things that are totally out of bounds, so ignore me if they are. I was just imagining how it must be on her end. She must feel like she's invading everyone's space. She may have felt reluctant to take your nice offer to stay with her at the beginning because she knew it would be a lot on you guys, and she felt more comfortable "invading" her own sister's space. She probably had to struggle a while before coming to the conclusion that she may have overstayed at her sister, and that now she needs to ask her son, your DH.

I hope you'll be able to find a solution that everyone feels comfortable with. And I agree with everybody, that you should take your vacation as planned, and if you do agree to host her, let her know she's very welcome after you get back and settled again. Anyway, hang in there!

JEN - Hey there! Thanks for the Terri update. That's great that she'll be working at Wells Fargo....Oh, and you're right about the kitty. I didn't have one two weeks ago, and I still don't have one right now. I do, however, have tons of kitty litter, should any kittens happen across my apartment anytime in the near future.

SHELLEY - $700 worth of rocks! Haha, that sounds funny. Throw in $500 of dirt and $600 of kitty litter with that!......What's this about Nintendo DS? Will I be able to visit your DD in her animal village soon?...Anyway, good luck with the pond. It'll be so cool when it's done and you can enjoy it!

It's a scorcher here too, and disgustingly humid. We're supposed to get thunderstorms today. I hope that happens.

So, lemme get this straight... you have a bathtub's worth of kitty litter and no kitty? I'm confused. Please enlighten us!

Maybe you should send me your kitty litter and I can use it to backfill around the pond:p

I was asking Sophie what she'd like as a reward for getting a really great report card, and she mentioned a Nintendo DS. So I was telling her about you and Oogy(did I spell that right?) and the radishes.

I feel crappy today. I don't want to go to work, but I stayed home yesterday (also craptacular) and I feel horribly guilty for taking time off.
 
Oh, and Jen, I forgot to mention that I saw your offer! Thanks so much but.... I don't have a VCR:( So I guess I'll have to pass.

Shelley, I'm sorry that you're not feeling great. Nothing is worse then feeling crappy and then add this horrible heat to it. I bet your pond is going to look awesome. IYou'll have to post pics when it is finished. And I should finish up my boring project today. Of course, there will be more to follow.

August - OK, if you posted about all the kitty litter, then you HAVE to tell us why. You can't just mention it one day and then the next day say you aren't taking anymore questions about it. That just ain't right!!!!!! Even if you are planning on doing something "odd" with it, you have to tell us. Not that you, of all people, would do anything "odd". :p Let me get this straight: one person, no cat, 8 bags of kitty litter???? Something a little out of sorts is going on here. Are you buying your mom a kitten? I will not stop asking until you tell me. So just spill it already!!!!

I think August is doing some kind of strange Japanese kitty litter bath technique. I hear it's great for the skin.

Really August, just how many kitties are you getting? A friend of mine went to get a kitten and came home with two kittens and the mama cat too. She has to lock the kittens up at night, or they wouldn't get any sleep. Are you getting any sleep August?

Dana, hey, slow down and smell the heat and humidity. You are way too busy for summertime.

Shelley, I hope you feel better. Did you stay home? I have a friend who seems to have caught one heck of a cold and has been off for close to a week now. I thinks she's been to the doctor twice. How's Sophie's sunburn?

Today I plan on doing Step Fit, if I can survive the heat. DH filled DGS's little inflatable swimming pool yesterday. It has enough room for my butt and my DGS. We may have to go sit in it after the workout.

August, if you love heat then come to Ohio. It's been scorching hot here -- it's really quite unbearable. I don't know how you stand it. It's hard to work out in this heat. I think I need to start working out early in the morning because it's just too dang hot in the afternoon;(

We walk single file. I'm usually about 10 steps behind him. He's 6'4" and I'm 5'5" and his stride is about 1.5 X's mine http://planetsmilies.net/sport-smiley-5587.gif. So Dana is making cheeseburgers and fries (yummy) and August is swimming in a pool of kitty litter with the stolen golden bathtub. Michele and something about a treadmill (did I read that right yesterday), Jen is hooking everyone up with jobs (good friend!) Robyn is ???...(sorry Robyn I had to act like I was working while I was trying to read your post, stupid boss!) Shelly is wanting August to send her some kitty litter to fill in the pond and Diane is not here yet! Did I miss anything??? LOL.....

I am trying to work, but yet I don't feel like it much at all!!! The weather is so nasty miserable hot and muggy I think I am going to hop a plane to ALASKA. I think I say that every day, still need to do it!! LOL

Ok, haters I have got to get back to work before these people realize I am not working.

I will check back with everyone for some updates.

LMAO! You wouldn't want my litter - it's the kind that sucks up liquid and then expands (or at least I think it expands a little?). Although it might be kind of fun to swim in now that I think about it.

Hey friends... I just developed the WORST headache & my stomach feels like it is going to pop. I was outside talking to my neighbor & all of a sudden I started feeling miserable. I think I may have just went too long without eating & that always give me a headache but usually not this bad. Although I am the queen of eating something like every 2-3 hours max & now that I'm thinking I went from 1 until 6 without anything... okay, I'll slap myself for being stupid! x(

August- Hmmmm.................... ;) Is kitty litter slang for something over in Japan????

Dana- Ask Gabe, wasn't he learning to speak Japanese? No, I didn't help Terri get the job. I hadn't heard from her in a while but wasn't real concerned b/c she said they spend a lot of time outdoors in the summer. I've personally been hiding inside with this freaking heat & humidity.

Robin- I just PM you! I am happy to find a home for the video, giving is so much better than receiving... well, let me clarify... receiving NEW workouts is the best but I love being able to give things to others, always brings a smile to my face! I just ordered a bunch of Jack the Dog things from Wells Fargo for mom's pre-k kids next year, crayons, activity books, etc...

Michelle- I will pass the message along to Terri!

Shelley- Tell Sophie congrats on the report card, that is awesome she did really good.

Okay, well since I just grabbed a small snack to appease my belly I know need to go make dinner. I'll probably stop back by if anyone is around.

Robin - yes, I'm going to Jolly Old England in September, 2008 and I'll be SURE to send you a postcard. I'll send you one from Australia, too, if I go. DH has a meeting there this fall and I originally intended to go, but we spent a fortune in Italy, so we have to draw the line somewhere.

I have Ursula Under on my list. I'm reading Suite Francaise right now and I love it, too.

Jen -- UGH! I'm sorry about your headache. I get migraines if I don't eat, too. I usually eat about every 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Eat and take some Ibuprofen. I'm glad you found a home for your VHS tape.
