Morning! (Please imagine a large, sunny smilie face emoticon here.)
We had quite a shake last night...I got home fairly late and played with the squirrels, and washed up and pretty much just got into bed...and just as I was falling asleep, a really loooooooooooong earthquake hit.
Why, why do those things have to happen just when I'm naked and falling asleep?! (Please imagine a frantic, sleepy emoticon here.)
Anyway, luckily I was sleepy enough to get back to sleep about half an hour later.
All yesterday I was quite upset about the thought of smilie rations LOL.
But I got home and looked in my mailbox and guess what was in there?
MY KETTLEBELL WAY DVD! I don't mean to splurge it all right here but I think that's worth 4 emoticons!
And my kettlebell just came now!
(repeat emoticons above here.)
I've been watching and reading kettlebell stuff on the internet all morning! Woo!
I'm wondering if I should I should do a run-through without any weight first, or is that just stoopid? (Please imagine a goofy emoticon hitting himself in the head here.)
JENNIFER - Glad to hear your lawn is mowed and pretty. That is wild about that guy contacting you. Now I know what you mean about being careful about it.
That's cute about Madrid and the toy mouse. Mooch used to do that with one of his toys - bring it to bed. I have to be careful what toys I leave out because Mooch has a tendency to try to eat them LOL. But I do leave a bunch out that are safe, and when they want to play, they always bring one and drop it at my feet.
>You have all the high tech stuff for your squirrels. My boys have old fashioned litter in the old school box.
I'm ashamed to think of how much money I spent on 2 imported automatic litter boxes. I totally am preferring the new old-fashioned one. It's so much easier to clean and because it's lightweight, it's easy to move around if needed.
But when I think that they used the automatic one for a year with it on, and I did have all those weekends away,...well, the automatic system did keep things very clean for them all that time, so it was worth it.
My Mom can still use hers with it on, and mine is being used, just off,...but honestly, I'd get rid of it if it hadn't cost me the price of a platinum diamond ring LOL.
Hey, by the way, I went to the link you posted about your family but I couldn't find any movies. Could you check the link address again and repost it?
MICHELE - Yay, how's the hair? Do you feel a ton lighter? I love to watch my hair being cut and falling to the floor.
I'm sorry to hear about your sister and that her MS is acting up. Is that related at all to the other stress she's having?
>I'm going to register a complaint about the smilie limitation.
I really think we need to do this because it is a MAJOR problem!!! I'm serious! I want to use my smilies limitlessly! (Please imagine a crying baby emoticon here.)
OH! I just happened across a thread concerning the ration! I've posted, using all 4 emoticons that I could LOL.
>I'm PO'd about losing my 11,037 post count...and I'm not crazy about being a "junior" member
Ahhhh, I feel so authoritative being senior LOL! Although you don't actually need very many posts to become a senior. But I'd be bummed about the 11,037 post count, too. That's really quite something when you think about it. I mean, really, 11,037 posts! I wonder what rank that would have been - Super Senior, or Kiss THAT Senior or something. You'd think someone on staff could give you your counts to your new name.
But then again, like you mentioned, it's also kind of cool to start with a clean slate for the new forum.
>back when I worked for the vet, about 1/2 of the people who used those litter boxes got rid of them (a lot of cats get freaked out by them).
I can see that. When I feel it's good timing to chuck it, it's going to feel good to do so. It's so heavy and bulky. I'm also not too keen about silica and not being able to scoop out the pee.
I see there are many different attachments for Da Bird. Here's the one we got :
http://www.amazon.com/Bird-Interactive-Feather-Cat-original/dp/B000679IE6
It's fantastic - very well-made - strong and easy to use. The rod is quite long, and the string is strong. The stiff feathers are held onto the string with something that allows the feathers to spin when you whiz the toy in the air, and it really does a great job of simulating a bird, sound and all. My guys all go NUTS for it!
> have you bought new shoes yet? I'd hate for you to drop a KB on your bare feet, and I want you to try and hit your CC spot --
No, guhhhh, I desperately need to get my shoes. I DESPERATELY need to find my CC spot. One thing though - it is deathly hot and humid here. Do you think it might be possible to do CC in my air-conditioned apartment running in place?
Stop laughing (please imagine a face with no expression emoticon here). I'm not joking!
By the way, check out these great kettlebell tutorials!

>your posts are still wonderful, even without the smilies. It'll be okay. I promise.
You're sweet, thanks. But with the smilie rations, it's hard to completely express when I'm merely feeling a bit pukey and not blue. People might really think I have squirrels living in my apartment. And if I can't use more than 4 smilies per post, what am I going to do with all the extra time I then have on my hands? That will mean that I have to got to my workroom sooner. (Please imagine a spastic laughing emoticon here.)
By the way, I love your avatar! What's your horsie's name?
Okay, I've been working my butt off so I'm taking the day off today (well, after I do about an hour of work that I need to prepare for tomorrow). And I'm going to watch my Kettlebell DVD (please imagine a very happy, excited emoticon here).
Have a great day everyone!! (Kissie smilie here.)
