HATE - July 12

August

Cathlete
Good morning!

I just woke up from my nap. http://bestsmileys.com/cheering/6.gif

Can I tell you about the horrifying mistake I made yesterday at a party LOL?

I'm doing my schmoozing bit, sipping my water and going around saying hi to people....there are all sorts of little party foods that I'm not interested in, so they're totally easy to avoid...then I spot someone unwrapping one of those marshmallow caramel candies. It kind of sparks my interest.

So a little later, I'm talking with someone and I notice I'm right in front of the server with the individually wrapped marshmallow caramels, so I figure I may as well have one. I unwrap it and pop it in my mouth....to find that it's a mini cheese sausage! Can I just tell you how gross it is to be expecting marshmallow caramel and to instead get cheese sausage?!

I also ended up wearing some really uncomfortable high-heel shoes to the meeting/party I had, which totally made it hard to even walk, so forget about a power walk. I was so uncomfortable at the party, I couldn't concentrate on what anyone was saying to me LOL. And then I took a cab home just so I could get out of the shoes quicker. No wonder I always wear mules. http://bestsmileys.com/fainting/1.gif

ROBIN - Bahaha! I love the idea to do an arm workout add-on during my power walk. I'll definitely add it into my routine next time I go out and zoom around.

MICHELE - I'm pretty sure that quitting smoking book is in English (and was so successful that it was translated into Japanese). I've heard it's quite amazing, but I'm sorry, I don't know what it could be called. But apparently you read it, and by the end of the book, you stop smoking. I wish I'd had the insight to ask the name of the book. I'm not sure how to even look it up on the internet. If I remember who was telling me about it, I'll ask them for a title.

So...have you tried styling your hair yet?

>They taunted me with the dessert menu until I screamed uncle

Oh, so you mean, they just put the dessert menu down on the table? http://bestsmileys.com/lol/1.gif

BECKY - Hey there! Things are finally settling down a bit for me on the weekdays and I can spend some time in my pajamas again, thank goodness. I'm so glad to hear that your MIL weekend went so well. I'm sure it was a great time for her.

Anyway, BON VOYAGEEEEE! Soak up some extra rays for us!

DANA - Thanks for the thumbs up on my power walk to my meeting! It makes me feel good even if it didn't really happen LOL.

OMG, that Park sounds like a money-sucking hole! If it were in yen, I'd probably have no problem going, being that it would be Monopoly money, but seeing all your dollar signs made me definitely not want to go LOL!

So was the doctor able to figure out why you haven't been feeling well?

That's awful about Gabe's friend. It must have been terrible for you to explain to him that that kind of thing sometimes happens. Ugh. If they're too lazied-out to come over, they should just tell you and Gabe, so you're not waiting and looking forward to the visit all dang day. I'm so sorry to hear that happened. I hope Gabe is feeling better about it. At least he was able to hang out with his cool Mom.

LMAO about Gannon! Funny!

JANA - Hey, you!

>Michele-Ummmmm....where is my cookie?? Oh wait you gave it to August.

Uh uh? Nope, nope, I don't see a cookie here for me. No, no I don't.

If your hotel room sucks, you could ask to sleep in the gym? LOL.

I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for a job that you enjoy to come your way!

DIANE - Oh brother, the FedEx guy couldn't figure it out? What a bummer! I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that your computer makes it to you tomorrow!....OH wait! You DID get it! Oh, good! Wait, I don't think you need to pay for an account with .mac in order just to use your email. Of course, you'll have to be paying whatever server you use for your email, but you can use that for your mail.

JEN - Feel better! And eat some real protein, would you?!

Well, I'm going to veg more.

Have a great day all!

Goodmorning August. Bleech on the cheese sausage. Especially if you were expecting something sweet and sticky. We went to a party once and as soon as we walked in, my son, then about 6, made a bee line for the food table and popped what he thought was a grape in his mouth. It was an olive, the only food in the world he doesn't like. He didn't want to eat it, but he didn't want to not eat it more. Poor kid.

Michele, I ended up with short, very easy to style hair. It's going to take some getting used to. I'm trying to decide if it makes me look older or younger. Actually, I guess it just makes me look different. Good luck with your new doo. Your lunch sounded wonderful.

Jen, I hope you feel better today. I'm starting to fret about staying healthy through vacation and the road trip.

Diane, your new computer sounds great except for the "hidden" costs. Everything is more expensive then you expect, isn't it? Just wait till the baby is born, hee hee.

I set the alarm for 3:30, but when it went off, I reset it and went back to sleep. I guess today will be my rest day, unless I can sneak away from the baby shower early enough to get home and workout. We'll see.
Have a wonderful day all. I'll probably check back in later.

Robin, do you always get up at 3:30am to workout????? My God woman. Here I am, always, always complaining about not finding the time to workout but yet you get up at 3:30 to get your workout done. Holy moly. I'm speechless!!!

August - that totally would suck about thinking you are getting a sweet treat but it be a sausage. Yuck!!! Hey, I heard on the radio this morning that someone is leaving bundles of money at various places in Japan with a note that says something like, have fun, or buy something nice. I can't remember the exact words though. 15 bundles of money has been found, are you one of the lucky people??? I can't believe all of the news I've been hearing lately about Japan.

Michele - how did your hair turn out today? I know what you mean about it never looking the same as the stylist does it. My hair always looks great when I have it straightened but then forget it if I try to do it myselft. I don't have the same products or the same iron as they do. Your lunch sounds really, really good.

Jen - how are you feeling today?

Diane - glad you got your computer all hooked up. Have fun with it.

I dropped Ralphie off at the vet this morning for his surgery and dip. Poor little Gannon kept crying and didn't want to leave.

Oh, and he (Gannon) learned a new word yesterday. Gabe got in trouble at daycare and my DH was yelling at him saying, "Do you want me to wail your a$$? Well, Gannon starts saying, a$$, a$$, a$$. Needless to say, Gabe burst out laughing, I covered my mouth so I wouldn't laugh and the situation with Gabe was done since we now have potty mouth to deal with. I hope he doesn't repeat it at daycare.

Well, I just got here (an hour late) so I better get to work.

Talk to you all later!!!

No Dana, I rarely get up at 3:30 to exercise. I usually exercise when I get home from work about 4. The only reason I did this week was there were too many afternoons with stuff going on, preventing an afternoon workout. I DIDN'T get up today, although I had hoped to. LOL about Gannon's new found vocabulary. I was reading a book the other day that mentioned the stage in a child's life where they only had to hear a word once for it to be learned. Looks like Gannon is at that age now.

You are right, you don't need to sign up for .mac if you use another email service (like yahoo or my work email), just if you want a .mac address or to publish your website on an .mac address.

I haven't totally figured it out yet, but there is an option to publish a webpage made on the iMac on another webpage service. But if you have .mac, it is "one click publishing" instead of figuring out how to get the stuff onto another server. I have set up a blog before on blogger.com for free, so I could always do that and use my regular email. However, I want to be able to use all the cool graphics features on the iMac and then somehow upload that to a free site. I just haven't figured out how to do that yet, though it seems to be an option.

I am about to go on a walk outside. Yesterday I did a 20 min walk and then made up my own full body circuit using exercise tubing for upper body and just body weight for lower body. My arms are really sore today so using the exercise tubing obviously worked them in a different way than my free weights have been!!!

HI HATERS!

Yesterday I ended up watching Brayden again ...my SIL called at the last minute and asked if I'd watch him for an hour or two (this was just after lunch) and I had him until 7:30 !!!
I LOVE him, loved watching him but OMG I had so much to do that didn't get done. So today, is a crazy marathon of running errands, cleaning, packing and mowing the lawn! The storm before the calm! ha

My workout this morning was BM2 step and MM UpperBody.

Oh, can't remember who asked but Brayden turns 18 months old in a few days. He is so smart and sweet and has absolutely NO attention span. It's from one thing to the next !
How can you forget those stages?
I had THREE of my own but how did I do it ??? ha ; )

Have a good one everybody!!

Hi there!

I've been kind of lurking this morning. I dunno -- I haven't been in much of a posting mood lately for some reason. What's up with that!? And, I have this constant, overwhelming feeling of fatigue and all I want to do is sleep. I've taken naps for 2 days in a row and I'm about ready for another one.

I know y'all will understand, but I just cannot make myself do personals today. I think you know how I feel about my peeps;) :* :* , so please don't take it personally. I'm sure this funk will pass in a day or two or three. Anyway, I'm meeting my best friend and her daughter for lunch today -- well, high tea -- and I need to do a workout since I didn't do one yesterday.

I'll BBL. Have a great day everyone:* :*

Michele, I think you're pregnant with all that fatigue. BAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!!

I'm outta here b4 you hit me with something!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey haters~

I'm still in a weird mood. I have no idea why, really. Ah well, I'm sure it's just a phase.

Robin - I still can't believe you got up at 3:30 to work out. I wanna see pics of your sexay new hair.

August - BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH - omg your story about the cheese sausage thing had me rolling. I've done that kind of thing so many times, and it's so hard not to just spit the damn thing right back out. Doesn't Tom Hanks do something like that in the movie Big?

Dana - your kids are priceless. I remember once when Sophie was about 2 or 3, she was standing at the sink trying to fill this tiny water gun, and suddenly she said "sh*t". I tried so hard not to laugh and said "pardon?". So she repeated it. When I asked her where she'd heard that, she said "Auntie Karen".:p

Jana - are you back from wherever the heck you were (Salt Lake City?).

Becky - wow, you've sure been busy lately looking after other people! You must be going crazy.

Miss Lee - maybe you ARE pregnant. Stranger things have happened you know. Just look at the headlines on the News of the World in the supermarket check-out line, you'll see! ;-)

Diane - kudos to you for doing any kind of workout while pregnant. The only workout I did was "lie on the couch max". Four showers? Holy wow. You're not going to need to buy anything for that baby. Did you decide on a name? Did I miss that?

Jen - how are you feeling today? Better, I hope! Take it easy and don't push yourself.

I hope I didn't miss anyone.

Hey fellow haters. Sorry for being so self absorbed yesterday. I am feeling better today, I think the rest helped.

I did KPC kicking/punching combos, L&G ankle weight work, Buns of Steel outer thigh work, KPC abs, then L&G stretch tonight. I was going to do Powerstrike but I decided to hold off on that until this weekend when my throat/nose are hopefully 100% better & I can breathe a little easier. The combos were tough enought tonight for me! I think I'll do B&G tomorrow, Powerstrike Sat., and Drill Max on Sun.

August- I love reading your posts, I am so happy you are around more often again. :* You can't ever leave us for as long as you did, your posts always make me laugh & smile regardless of how rotten of a day I've had.

Robin- Wow, 3:30 is EARLY- don't know how you do that. Your weather any better yet?

Dana- I can't believe your days, you need a vacation to rest & relax. Your friend doesn't deserve to have someone as nice & caring as you in her life. Hugs to you, hang in there- I don't have many close girlfriends either, more guy friends. My two best friends both moved away- one in AZ & the other in CO. I miss them both.

Becky- Sounds like you are having fun with the little guy. I'll have to check your picture trail to see his pics- I know I had checked them out before but not sure if you have any more recent ones of him?

Michelle- Is everything okay? We understand if you aren't in the mood to post much but please at least stop by & say hey. Hope you are back in the groove of things soon. I am sure you are just worn out from all the family visits lately so soon after being gone out of the country!

Jana- That picture is too funny! Thanks for the laugh!

Shelley- How are you doing? Hopefully not feeling as bad as you did the other day. The mood is probably the weather, I know it has taken a lot out of me & I've been more tired & grumpy lately too.

Okay, well I am off to forage for food. Nothing is sounding good again. I tried to eat a south beach pizza yesterday but it tasted like crap so I think I'll stick to my protein bar for dinner again... at least I'm eating... it's the PB low carb snicker marathon bar- 18 grams protein, 8 fiber, 170 cal, 7 fat, and like 3-5 impact carbs. They are really good. Okay, I'm may BBL if anyone is around.
