Hi, Robin! How is Mr. Car feeling? Heat stroke, you say? Poor guy.

Hi, Michele! I'm glad you had a fun time with your family! Good vibes to your sister and her quitting smoking. I heard about some book that if you read it, you quit smoking. Is that well-known over there?...Yes, things should settle down a bunch on the weekdays soon. :)

Hi, Shelley! Urgh, those waves from the willpowerlesslockness monster x( . I was in his grips for a while and felt doughy, too. But it was just the feeling. When I see photos of me during my dough-time, I really can't tell the difference. Which is kind of a bummer when I think about it since I should look really cut from working out LMAO. No, no. Crap makes you doubt yourself. So let yourself have a ride on Nessy and soon enough she'll drop you off at bay. :)

Hi, Diane! I'm excited to hear about your iMac. I'll keep my fingers crossed that you get an intuitive delivery man.

Hi, Jen! 67! Jeez, I'd be totally freezing! Do you sleep in pajamas with the covers on in the cold?

All right. I suppose I should do a workout. Hmm. I mean. Yes! Right after I take a quick nappy. I'm going to do some arms and abs. What? Cardio, you ask? Of course I'll do cardio. When I walk to my meeting this afternoon. At top speed. Top speed.

Have a good one!

:* :* :*

Good morning August and all you haters to follow. It's so nice to wake up to a post from the far east. Don't forget to swing your arms during your power walk, August. Then you can call it an arm workout as well as cardio.

Jen, I hope we get some of your cooler weather. I think today is only (only!??!) supposed to be in the 80's. We still haven't gotten any rain here. I've started taking GI showers, turning the water off until I need to rinse something off, in hopes of conserving water.

Shelley, listen to August and Jen. Isn't it funny how your self image can change so quickly? I'll look in the mirror in the morning and think I look pretty hot, then in the afternoon, I notice all the bags and sags. And I'm sure no one else notices any difference when my scale goes up or down 3 - 5 pounds.

Michele, LOL about your carb explosion. As long as you feel good and get back on track, I say go for it. As far as holding out on DH until the AC is in the window, he probably wouldn't notice. He hardly ever gets any anyway. TMI? Don't read the following confession if you are a bit modest: My poor almost non-existent libido has taken a nose dive since Greyor was born. Between the baby, Emily living at home again, menopause, I feel pretty numb from the waist down. Oh, and from the waist up too. This weekend was pretty liberating, but we can't afford to get a hotel room everytime we want to bump parts.;( My poor DH.

I got up early and did 1-5 of IMAX3. I feel like a weeney, only doing half, but that's what the rotation calls for. I'll be doing some ab work later. Today is haircut day. I'm excited and afraid of what style I may end up with. All I know is it has to be shorted and easier to style then my current do.

I think I've written a book and a need a coffee refill, so this is probably a good place to stop. Hi to Diane, Becky, Dana, and any other haters who stop by.

G'mornin!!

August - I wouldn't have had anything left to share with you because I ate ALL of it in the car on the way home from the bakery  http://bestsmileys.com/eating1/6.gif

Is there an English version of that book? I need to call sis today and see how she's managing without her smokes. She lived out on my patio over the weekend because I don't allow smoking in my house http://bestsmileys.com/nono/3.gif

I hope you have a nice bullet walk to work. I can't wait until your weekdays settle down http://bestsmileys.com/excited/2.gif

Robin - I'm ROTFLMAO at you! I can totally relate to the old dwindling libido, but in my case my DH is never home anyway so he probably doesn't even notice. ;) He gets home so late and he usually passes out in bed, fully clothed, and I try to undress him without disturbing his sleep http://www.rykat.org/forums/style_emoticons/default/hehehmn.gif

Wow, Imax 3!? I bow to your greatness. I haven't figured out what I'm doing today. It's between Basic Step, LIS, and CC. I've been trying to force myself to do step at least once a week so I might go with that today.

I hope you like your new do. I looked through a few days of the <--- thread to find the picture of you and Liann -- I thought your hair looked really cute! That Liann is adorable, too.

I'm getting my hair deskunked and cut this morning. I wish I could find a new way to style it. I'm so sick of it and it just doesn't look good anymore. My hair used to be kind of pretty but it's dry and fly away now. I HATE it. ;)

{{{{{Shelley}}}}} - I hope you're feeling better and less doughy today, although I'm quite certain you're not doughy at all. If you're doughy I don't even want to think about what I am:eek: . Listen to August. August is wise;) ...and so are Robin and Jen.

Oh boy, I need to run or I'll be late for my hair appointment. Hello to everyone I missed and I'll BBL:*

Hi Haters!!!

It's good to see you here again August! Are you still wildly busy with work ?

I made it through the MIL weekend! She stayed with us and I think, wanted to stay longer, but we had a busy week already planned so off she went, back to her sisters!:7
Monday & Tuesday I had my DGS all day (12 hours)! He is a total sweetie, smart and a complete JOY and I loved every minute !
My house was also destroyed and I was exhausted by the time he went home!!!:p But I'm so glad he was here.

Now I have today and tomorrow to get all the laundry caught up, house cleaned and us PACKED because we leave in the wee hours of the morning Friday for vacation !!!!
The beach better be ready cuz here I come !!!!!!!!!:7 }( :D

I've been following the July rotation but this week I'm sort of making up as I go along. Today I did legs/abs and CC#2.
Tomorrow I want some GOOD, HEAVY upperbody and tough cardio , since it's the last workout for a while.
I will walk everyday on the beach ....I get up insanely early and walk while the beach is still empty and poor DH gets dragged along for safety reasons!!!!;-) It's hilarious because he is NOT a morning person and has this crazy notion that people go on vacation to relax and sleep in....and he's not allowed to do either!!!
Poor guy.;-)
Of course there will be playing in the ocean and pool but NO formal workouts. I refuse to bring videos, bands and balls on vacation!!

How is everyone?
I've been out of touch and need to read back in order to get caught up. But when?? I have no time!

I'll get back in here tomorrow for sure.
Have a good one!
Becky

Becky, LOL at your poor DH on vacation. My DH gets the same treatment when we go to the Caribbean. He can sleep all day on the beach, as far as I'm concerned, but he better get up early to get me TO the beach. What beach are you going to? We will be hitting VA Beach in a couple weeks, and may spend a day at the Outer Banks, Nags Head area in NC. We have family and friends we stay with, so the packing isn't too big a deal.

Michele, I have the same dry, fly away hair. I have to style it everyday. Then when I get home from work and exercise, I have to style it all over again if we are going anywhere. Blow drying twice a day on top of coloring it does not lead to healthy hair. I've gotten lots on compliments on this style and I can't for the life of me figure out why. I've never liked it much from the start and it never looks the same as when I leave the salon.

Shelley, when are going to see Harry Potter? Emily hinted that she wanted to go last night with a friend, but I mentioned that she had to work today and had Greyor to take of. She didn't seem to upset. She's pretty partial to sleep. I'll probably wait till it's out on DVD. I'm pretty sure I still have to see the last one.

Dana, where are you? Have your fingers frozen?

Morning haters! Sorry I’ve been MIA lately. Been busy here.

Hi August!!!! Have fun at your meeting. Your speed walk definitely counts as a cardio workout in my book!

Shelley – stop beating yourself up!!!! I’ve seen pics of you and you look great. I know that we all are more judgmental of ourselves then other people are. You are beautiful so just stop it!!!!!

Robin – sorry to hear that you had car trouble. Is everything ok? Sometimes we go to the Lycoming Co. Fair but I doubt we’ll go this year. It is too much trouble trying to take Gannon anywhere b/c he is at that age where he doesn’t want in his stroller and doesn’t want to hold your hand. You’re funny with the libido thing but I know what you mean too. DH and I both work f/t and with the boys and our goofy sleeping arrangements it is difficult to, as you put it, bump bodies. HA!!! I didn’t tell you, on Friday when we went to pick cherries, Gabe and I picked 25lbs of sour cherries in an hour. But it took my 4 hours to pit them. I made a pie, 8 jars of freezer jelly and then I froze the rest. I usually make cherry crumb pies for the holidays so I’ll all set.

Michele – hey you!! How did the de-skunking go?

Becky – have fun at your vacation. I love the beach!!! Where are you going? I’m glad your visit with MIL went well and that she went back to her sisters. How old is your GS? Good for you for getting in all those workouts. Someday, hopefully soon, I”ll get back into my workouts. My life is so crazy-busy, I need more hours in the day.

Hi Becky, Diane, Jen and everyone else!!!

Yesterday I took the day off of work and took Gabe to Hershey Park. What a rip off!!! I got the tickets through my church so I paid $46 for both of our tickets. Had a bought them at the park it would’ve cost me $80. We had to pay $8 to park. We got our lunch at Subway in the park and for 2 meal deals (which cost $5 each where I live) cost me $19!!!! I bought 1 piece of fudge and 2 chocolate covered pretzels, $7!!!!!! It was $3 for a bottle or water!!!!! Locker rentals for the day were $8, $13, $15!!!! We found one for $1 but once you opened it, you had to pay to use it again. Needless to say we only used it 1 time. As soon as you get into the park, they check your bag b/c you are not allowed to take in any food or drink. I don’t know how people can afford to go there and it was very crowded. We did have a nice time but wow, I couldn’t believe the money that I spent there.

I haven’t been feeling good lately and I thought I was preggo. Now TOM was 2 weeks ago and I had my tubes tied but I just wasn’t feel “right”. I went to the dr and had a test done and thank God it was negative. The nurse told me she never saw someone so happy to have a negative test. I don’t know what I’d do if I was preggo. 2 children are definitely enough for me.

I’m kida ticked at a friend of mine. Last week I e-mailed her and she said that if me and the boys wanted to get together over the weekend to call her. She has an 11 year old daughter and Gabe wanted to go swimming at a local pool. He kept bugging me since Saturday night so I called her at 9:00am on Sunday, no answer so I left a message. Then Gabe called again at 10:00 and he left a message. Her DD called us back around 10:40 b/c they just got up. I asked her to put her mom on the phone so I could see what was going on. Well she said she couldn’t go b/c she had a mole removed and also was TOM. So I said can you go outside if you cover it up? Thinking that we could take them to a statepark (there are 2 nearby and both have beaches) and she’s like, it is going to be over 90 degrees and I am not going outside. So I say to her whatever then, I’m not sitting here all day and that I will find something else for us to do and that I will talk to her later. I’m sure I sounded like I had an attitude but oh well, this isn’t the first time she has done this. Well Gabe was crying and upset so I told him to call her back and see if she just wanted to come over to our house to swim. We only have a 3 foot pool but it is better then nothing. So he was told that yes they would come over, not right now, but would call. This was around 11:00am. All day poor Gabe kept saying when is she coming over, when is she coming over. At 4:00 he called and of course they didn’t answer so he left another message. They never showed up. I am so upset with her. If she wants to blow me off, fine. But do not tell a 6-year old little boy that you are coming over to visit him and then never show up or even have the decency to call and say you weren’t coming. I haven’t heard from her since and I am not contacting her. I don’t have many friends so I basically put up with this kind of treatment so I can keep at least one friend but this is it. I am sick of letting people walk all over me. I would rather have no friends.

Shelley asked if I had any funny stories to share and on Saturday morning I was in the shower and I hear Gannon saying, “OH NO, OH NO”. So I peek out and there he is with my make up. He took my bag out of the drawer and unzipped it. Then he took this bronzing powder and powdered his entire body (he only had on a diaper). He also had the mascara and colored his teeth and lips black and gave himself some nice black streaks in his very blond hair. All I could do was laugh, scoop him up and put him in the tub. Then he says, “What happened?” Silly boy.

Sorry to be so self-absorbed. I really don’t mean to talk about myself.

Hi Robin. We must've posted at the same time. Not freezing today. I think b/c it is so hot and humid outside, the a/c has to work really hard, therefore it isn't quite as cold in here.

Never saw any of the Harry Potter movies.

I have so much to do but no desire to work. I want to stay home. I would love to have a clean house, a big garden to take care of and all the time in the world to workout. But in this real world, I have to work. boo-hoo

Good morning (well afternoon for you east coasters) HATERS!

I am in beautiful Salt Lake City today getting ready to get back home. I got in at 3 AM on Tuesday morning (was suppost to land at 11:45, but our plane was stuck in New York or something). I had a meeting at 8:00 am on tuesday so let's put it this way I swear I could not keep my eyes open during that meeting.....ready to go home. It is SOOOO HOTTTTT here, I mean look I know in TX is is blazing hot as well, but geeze it is over 100 here and HOT HOT HOT HOt HOT!!

Dana-I had to chuckle at your post! Marley is a only child and will remain that way! LOL! I would have done the happy jig at the Dr's office too!! LOLOLOLOLO!!!!

Michele-Ummmmm....where is my cookie?? Oh wait you gave it to August.

Diane!!! How are you Mommy to be! How are you feeling. Counting down the days! I am really excited for you. I hit the Old Navy here in SLC and bought Marley tons of new clothes (not that she needs any, that kid has more clothes than me!) Old Navy has some really cute stuff right now and I went nuts! You are going to have so much fun shopping for your little girl! Did you have your shower yet? Showers are fun and such cute baby stuff out now. I was preggo during the summer too, so I am feeling any pain you are having with the weather!

Robin-Freezing? What? What? Where are you, I will be right there!! LOL!!!

Ok, haters Hello to Jen, August, and Becky! I have to run and actually get to work now. My flight leaves at 2 and I am sooo ready to get home!

Have a great hump day everyone!!

Oh wait!!! before I go!!! Ok, so this hotel SUCKS, but I went to the workout room this am and they have a "Treadclimber"...have you guys ever seen this thing, OMG it was FANTASTIC!!! I loved this thing! If you guys ever get a chance to find one get on it. I was a sweaty chick after 20 mins on that thing and my legs were on fire! I loved it!!!! I had to tell you guys that!

Ok, BYE!!!

Jana - I have a shower this coming weekend, and then 3 more after that!! 2 family showers, one work shower and one church shower. So hopefully we will be pretty stocked up with stuff. I haven't been to Old Navy yet - we are waiting to buy clothes until the showers are done, I am sure we will get a bunch of cute little dresses from people. I have definitely been feeling the heat and counting down the days! It is so humid and hot, and my 10 min walk from the garage to my building kills me every day, even though it is mostly in the tunnels. And it will only get worse...

Ugg, the FedEx guy couldn't figure out the address. So I am *hopefully* going to be able to pick up my iMac from the FedEx store tonight on the way home. Keep your fingers crossed that I don't have to wait until tomorrow. I am just so nervous having such an expensive item sitting traveling around Houston today on the Fed Ex truck!

Diane - 4 showers? Wow, you're lucky. You probably won't need to buy anything.

Hi Jana!!! I've never tried one of those climbers you talked about. Good for you for getting in a workout. Sorry to hear that your trip sucks. I bet Marley can't wait for you to get home. Have you had any luck in finding another position? Keeping my fingers x'd that you soon do!!!

Diane- 4 SHOWERS!!! WOW!!! you are going to have so much stuff!!! Lucky girl! You won't have to buy a thing!

Old Navy is good for play clothes and they can stand up to messy children! I like their stuff and it priced well.

Dana, you have GOT to try this thing. I wish I could find one at a gym, but my gym does not have them. I am seriously going to call around town to see if any gyms have these, they are a killer workout. I checked on-line to see how much they were, $4,000...sorry can't afford that!
I had 1 job offer, but it was really far from my house and the parking was $250/per mo and I am spoiled I don't have to pay for parking now so I turned it down. I need to find another job! Thanks for keeping your fingers crossed!

Nevermind, the FedEx guy was NOT a dummy! I have my iMac sitting in my office right now! Now I just need to figure out how to get it to my car...

Jana, I get out of breath just reading your posts! You are always on the go somewhere.

Diane, 4 showers should get you set for life! I'm going to a shower for a co-worker tomarrow. I think this is her third.

Dana, poor Gabe getting stood up. I'd be mad too. And LOL at Gannon putting on your make up. You have your hands full and I sure don't blame you for doing the happy dance over a negative pregnancy test.

I'm sick..... :( I thought I could force myself to stay at work all day but just couldn't do it. I pushed myself as far as my body will take me & it refused to go any more. I am going to the couch to sleep but will probably BBL to read all the posts, if I can move.

I also am STARVING today so I don't know what is going on. For the past week or so no food has sounded good & the only thing I've been eating besides some low-carb whole wheat wraps w/ fat free butter & sugar free jelly on them are protein bars. No food has sounded good but now today I feel like I could just keep eating & eating... x(

Dragging my sorry butt to the couch & try to avoid thinking of all the work piling up at the office. ;(

Jen - I'm so sorry you are feeling bad! Get some sleep girl. And don't worry about eating and eating, it is probably jsut what your body needs right now.

Howdy!

Wow, you guys were downright chatty today! :)

Becky - Good for you for shipping your MIL back to her sister's. How old is your DGS? Is this your daughter's son? They are so lucky to have a tender loving grandma.:+ How do you like the July rotation? I've been kind of doing my own thing -- modifying the beginner rotation by using Cathe's beginner step with her advanced weights. I hope you have a wonderful time on your vacation!! Oh yeah, I drag my poor DH all over the place at ungodly hours. Vacation for him means sipping coffee at a quaint cafe while reading local newspapers:eek: ;)

Dana - I don't blame you for being upset with your so-called friend. People can be so selfish anymore. It really makes me angry that she would disappoint your DS like that x( . It only takes a second to pick up the phone, for crying out loud. You're not the only one who isn't up to date on all the HP hoopla. I've never read the books -- I've seen a few of the movies. They were okay -- not really my thing, though.

Diane - HOLY WOW -- 4 baby showers!! That's awesome!! Ooh, I hope you'll post pictures of your haul! I'm anxiously waiting to hear what you think about the iMac.

Jana - I agree with Robin -- you exhaust me -- LMAO!

Robin - I had a long talk with my hairdresser today about how my hair seems to have changed since menopause -- it's dryer and seems to have lost some of its natural curl, and it's much harder to style. She confirmed that hair definitely changes after menopause ;) x( . She spent a lot of time with me today and my hair looked pretty good when I left the salon. Now we'll see if I can duplicate that at home. So, how did your hair turn out?

Jen - I hope you're feeling better tonight. Rest and eat something healthy. You push yourself so hard -- I'm sure your body is just telling you that it needs a break. ;) :*

I took myself out to lunch after my hair appointment. There's a wonderful, casual kind of gourmet restaurant near here that has the best food! I had a fried green tomato BLT with goat cheese, and OMG it was too die for! I sat there by myself with a good book and just let them serve me. They taunted me with the dessert menu until I screamed uncle -- I ordered the blueberry peach crisp with a small scoop of vanilla ice cream}( :9 . Then I came home and slept for about 2 hours. I think I'm still playing catch up after all the company we had.

I'm off to read some more, then I'm going to hit the hay. I'll see y'all tomorrow:*

So I am sitting here typing on my new iMac. It was very easy to set up the computer. It is amazing how few parts there are - the screen, power cord, mouse and keyboard. We got the wireless keyboard option, so the only wires are the power cord and ethernet cord. We just turn it on basically and hook up the in ethernet cord and we were on the internet. However, I couldn't totally figure out how to set up a webpage as easily as I thought. I was able to easily drag a few pics into a templet, but I couldn't figure out how to customize the templet. I am sure once we figure it out, it will be easy. I just don't have the patience right now. I think we will have to go to one of those workshops and learn some of the basics on how to use a mac.

Once thing that I didn't know is that in order to use the features where you can publish the webpage or use the mac email account (along with some other features) you have to sign up for .mac, which is $99 a year for a single user or $179 a year for a family if you want multiple users (multiple email addresses). That is not an expense I was counting on but I want to see what other features come with .mac subscription before I decide to join. I am going to talk to my friend that has a mac and see if they have this and if it is worth it.

But it definitely looks neat and so far everything is working. Now i just need to figure out how to use some of the neat programs it has, like website publishing, photoshop stuff and video editing. That will probably take a little while though, just like it would with any program like that since I have never done anything like that in my life.

But it is nice to have a computer again at home! We have been without one for a couple of weeks now.
