HATE - Feb 5

August

Cathlete
Well,

I've got to thank my deep-fried lunch from yesterday, as it taught me a good lesson! Don't eat deep-fried food when you're absolutely famished, when you haven't eaten fried foods for ages, and when you don't even like fried food to begin with!

I felt totally nasty all day. In fact, I couldn't even eat dinner. That NEVER happens. NOT eat dinner?! And today, today I am ravenous. So ravenous in fact that I simply don't have the stamina to do a workout.

Which brings me to my rotation. I got up to get ready for my workout, but was so hungry,....I went directly to Smoothie Town.

I'll dive back in tomorrow. This week is S&H body splits with cardio.

Arista - I don't know the Target salesperson skit. It's from the new series?..Wow, you'd rather do planks than crunches. I wonder if there will come a day when I'll be able to say that...No matter how you ended things with you mother, for sure she knew you loved her.

Robin - Your Finger trip (excuse me, LOL) sounded like it was fantastic. Allen must have done a great job if you brought home 3 cases....Okay, here's wishing you a killer start to your new rotation!!

Jen - I totally hear you about everyone who has a family and a job and kids and all that other stuff and yet still manage to get in workouts and a life. I'm not married, have no kids, and practically no set schedule, and yet there's no time for anything! Why does time fly like that?...LOL about you and your jumping jacks. Good looking rotation there...By the way, I can't stop thinking about your wraps.

Dana - Yay! You liked the Christi! I'm thrilled. Thrilled! It takes me a bunch of times to get the routine down - it will only get better! I can imagine the type of move you're talking about that you're having trouble with (course that was your first time so what do you expect, woman?!). In a handful of tries you're going to get it down and then you're going to thrive to do it.....Yikes! A spiral staircase? I hate those things. I once watched helplessly as my mom fell down one of those things. It was just horrible. I had no idea I could scream so loud and deeply. (She was totally fine and even laughed about it, but to this day just remembering it brings shivers down my spine, and now I always, always insist that I go down the stairs before her.) Anyway, I guess it's good that your mom is honest about not feeling confident to watch both boys, rather than having to live with any kind of regret whatsoever...Sorry about your DH LOL. Guys. Guys and garages...No monster cake or peanut butter ice cream for you? And you say it like it was easy to pass up! Sheesh! I don't know if I could have passed that up even last night when I was feeling crappy!...By the way, the scale is friend to no one.

All right. That's all.

Have a nice day!

Hey August-

You started this earlier than normal! Yeah people who work, workout, and have kids - I just don't know how they do it. Time does fly, I can't believe it's alreay 2007 & January already.

Do you have a crockpot? If so you should really try those wraps, they are so good.

Another good one for crockpot:
2 cans golden mushroom soup
1 1/2-2 lbs. of beef tips (i get the ones alreay diced)
1/2 cup red wine (or water if you don't want the wine)
dehydrated onion
Throw in crockpot & cook 6-7 hours.

I like to serve over rice but some people like egg noodles better.
It is really good but not as healthy as the others, golden mushroom soup doesn't come in a lighter calorie/fat version.

I know exactly how you feel about eating like that and feeling horrible. My stomach can't handle stuff like that, I used to be able to eat horrible fast food, mexican, fried anything, etc... but since I started eating healthy I can't eat that anymore which I guess is a good thing but every once in a while I'd like to be able to indulge in some greasy food but don't b/c the stomach pains are so bad it isn't worth it.

Well I have on tap for Monday Powerstrike 1 & thigh trimmer or something similar, however I was thinking about my rotation and I may switch Monday&Friday and do B&G Monday &PS on Friday... first day of the week seems so long usually so an easier w/o would be best!

Hope everyone has a nice day today & I'll be back Monday evening!:)

Morning Haters. A new week, a new (sort of) month, a new resolve. I'm hoping to eat cleaner and stick to Cathe's Feb rotation. That means Body Max 2 today. After almost a week off from illness. Yikes. I'll probably lower the step to 6 inches.

August, sorry about the fried food and it's after affects. That's how I feel whenever I overindulge in sweets, but I never seem to catch on. Your Mom falling down the steps reminds me of when my DS was about 4 or 5. We were touring a historical home somewhere when he fell down the steps. Everything was fine, then the next thing I knew he was sledding, head-first, down the wooden stairway. Luckily, I grabbed his ankle as he went zipping past and he didn't get hurt. Seems to me he laughed too.

Arista, I'm sorry about your mom. She must have died young. I don't have a good relationship with my mom and worry about what affect her death may have on me - guilt and all that stuff. She lives about 8 hours away from me, all alone, and is starting to show signs of dementia. Fortunately, my sister, who also lives far away from both my mom and me, has taken the responsibility for getting caregivers for Mom and keeping an eye on her finances, etc.

Dana, the homemade PB ice cream sounds wonderful. I would have had to have some. Good for you avoiding it. I'm glad you enjoyed Christie. I don't like a workout that I can follow right away. If I can get the footwork the first time, I usually get bored with the workout quickly. Eek, it's cold today. We had -2F here. Bundle your boys up today. I just heard Bloomsburg has a 2 hour delay because of the cold. Does that mean you have a delay for work?

Jen, enjoy PS 1. That is one of my favorite workouts. I was disappointed in the new PS workout. It seemed much too easy. Nothing like 1 or 2.

Diane, Deb, Michele, any other haters who drop in, have a great Monday.

Good morning lovely haters! It is so cold here - I think it is 12 but the wind chill makes it even colder.

Jen - I hate to be the one to break this news to you but it is now February, not January. LOL If you get the recipe for those stuffed tomatoes, please post it. They sound yummy! Yesterday I was bored so I was perusing the OD forum, ((particularly the TIP thread)) - your reply was funny. I was dying!!!

August - I know what you mean about eating fried foods. I rarely eat them and when I do, I'm in the bathroom within minutes (sorry if that is TMI). So just be prepared when you get that Krispy Kreme donut - fried + sweets=trouble!!! You didn't say what your extra cardio was yesterday? That would've been scary seeing your mom fall down those steps. The funniest fall I have ever seen is when DH and I first started dating and we went fishing w/my dad. My dad to us to the river but you had to walk down this really big, steep hill to get the water. DH had a big bucket in each of his hands and he slipped on some mud. He slid down the hill on his butt but he kept a hold of the buckets. It was hilarious. I chuckle every time I think about it.

Robin - are you doing BM2 tonight? I'm at work. Even though our school is on a delay, all staff still has to come in. Same as if there is a snow closing or early dismissal, we are all here. Gabe's school had a delay so DH was taking him for breakfast and then he was going to put him on the bus.

I better get going and get some work done. Have a great day everyone and I'll check back later!!! :)

Helllllooooo Haters!!

I am so out of the loop right now...ARGH! My darlin' DH needed the computer all weekend to write a paper so I didn't get much time to peruse and post. I need to go back and read everything since Friday.

Well, like Robin, I'm going to try and strengthen my resolve about diet and exercise. I ate fairly clean over the weekend, but DH and I did split a large chocolate bar and I had 1/2 a piece of Texas sheet cake :9 . I'm thinking about doing Cathe's Feb rotation. You'll notice I said THINKING. I don't have all of the DVD's needed but I probably have enough variety that I could sub for the ones I'm missing. I ordered the Step Blast series over the weekend and still plan to order CTX, MM, and a few others. I do know I will sub some of the cardio for my Eli:+ . I just gotta have Eli. Okay, wish me luck.

August, deep fried food...YOU!? I'm shocked!! Well, frankly, I've never been one to turn down a french fry, but I would be totally sick if I ate a large meal of fried foods. I do hope you're feeling better by now and yes, avoid the workout and eat up. You need to rebuild your stamina, otherwise, you might get dizzy doing cardio and fall and hit your head or something. Cardio...it can be so dangerous, especially on an empty stomach. I'm actually not kidding...really...not kiddin'!! You can have today off, but we expect big cardio from you tomorrow;):p

The Honorable August, Mayor of Smoothie Town--LMAO

Oh, Oh, I know the Target commercial..too funny!!

Terri, I love your pookie!! What a pretty face! My DH wants another dog so badly but I'm not ready. We lost 3 pets (2 dogs and a kitty) over a very short span of time and I'm still reeling from it. As for dogs...I love them like crazy but we travel now and it's kind of nice not having to worry about what will happen to our dogs while we're away. The older they got the less they were able to tolerate boarding, and it was really hard to find someone we could trust to come to our home and care for them. I don't worry quite so much about my kitty.

Jen, you're quite the crockpot whiz! I should dig mine out. I tend to only use it in the winter months and I haven't used it in about a year. I like to put a big ole chuck roast in there and shred it for sandwiches...I know, not the healthiest but soooo good:9

Arista, I was with both of my parents when they passed. Like Robin, I did not have a great relationship with my folks, but I don't suffer much guilt, either. I try to remember the best things about them and forget that my dad was a raging alcoholic, and my mom, his enabler:-(. I think they did the best that they were capable of, but I'll say this much, I am not terribly sympathetic towards people with drug/alcohol addictions. Rather, I feel dang sorry for their families. Oh well, I will spare you all from my 2 cents on the topic.;)

Dana, you liked Christi!? Well, okay, I LIKE Christi. She has a fantastic personality and I kind of get a kick out of it when she sings her instructions with whatever music is playing, but again, I think you must have been a dancer in a previous life--LMAO! I'm glad you got an opportunity to workout this weekend! --So, did you find a sitter?

Robin, it sounds like you had a nice trip. It sounds like you forged a lovely relationship with Allen. Hey, you never know when that might come in handy. Will Allen treat me right if I mention your name? LMAO! All your talk of the New Monday thus and such has infected me with a new found determination to stick with it, by golly! So let's just see how long it lasts:eek: :p

Okay, who am I missing here?

Diane, Kate (WTH is Kate!?!?!?!?), Janjan, and anyone else I may have missed, I hope y'all have a good one.

I better get on and STAY on task.:* :* :*

Good morning gals,

This will be quick (I know I always say that, but I mean it this time!) I've got to take my car to the doctor.

Michele - Thanks for your post. My mom was the alcoholic in my family, so I never really got along with her. I have a very low tolerance for addictions too. Its just an easy way out in my opinion. I don't feel guilty anymore, but it was definitely hard at first when she passed. My dad was her enabler, but he also suffered a lot too to keep our family together, so I respect him deeply. He's now happily remarried and now I feel like my family is more "normal" than it ever has been! I'm sorry to hear about your parents. But, really, what can any of us do in that situation? Not a whole alot. The will to change has to come from within.

And speaking of change, it sounds like we've got some new February resolutions!! Good job girls! I wish I had even close to the number of DVD's I'd need for that February rotation, but I don't. Maybe if I get my tax return early, I could justify buying $100 worth of them. In the meantime, It'll be the same 5 DVDs over and over and over....

August - Yeah, that Target SNL skit is from the latest (or last year's) episodes.

And since we're talking fried foods here, I'm going to share this news: I can eat anything, anytime, anywhere. I have a stomach of cast iron. This is unfortunate. Maybe, if I couldn't eat such a variety of really crappy-for-me foods, I'd actually lose a frikkin pound every now and then. I love sweets the most. Oh gawd, give me chocolate ice cream any time of day. But, I did pass up the opportunity to have dessert last night, so maybe I'm making progress.

And there I was talking bad about people with addictions, when sugar is my real nemesis.

OK, I'll BBL. Good morning to everyone! :*

Michele - well hey stranger! So what did you do all weekend since DH was using the computer? There is no way that I was a dancer in any previous lives I might have lived. Just b/c I did the DVD does not mean that I looked graceful doing it! I checked out the Feb rotation but I don't do good with rotations. It is like I have to "rebel" LOL - I do not do well with structure.

August - ya know who cannot dance???? Gwen Stefani. I was watching her new video this morning and thought she is not the best dancer. She is a very talented lady though.

My DH's mom was an alcoholic. She was 46 when she died. It is such a sad thing.

I'm trying really hard too to commit to better eating and daily exercise. I just bought myself a little tablet at the grocery store so I can keep a food journal.

Here's what I had so far:

Breakfast: coffee, 1 cup cooked barley w/single serving of dried fruit
Snack: 1 cup sugar free hot cocoa and 100 calorie pack of cookies
Lunch: 2 whole wheat garlic herb wraps filled with broccoli spouts and black bean/avocado salsa; 1 lite n fit yogurt; 1 cup of baby carrots; Diet Pepsi
Dinner will be: 4 oz marinated grilled chicken, small plain baked potato; brocollini and a salad w/ff dressing

I know that the 100 calorie packs are not "clean" but I have 2 boxes to eat and then I won't buy anymore. Promise.

Also, this year for the lenten season I am going to give up coffee and Diet Pepsi. I drink entirely too much of this and I swear I am addicted. Every year I give up all sweets and junk food for Lent. I"m still going to do that in addition to the coffee and DP. Lent starts on Feb 21.

My lunch is up so I better get back to work. Hope ya'all have great workouts today!

Dana, your menu sounds great. So what if the 100 cal packs aren't strictly clean. If they work, good. Too bad you don't get the same time off as the kids for bad weather. The teachers don't have to come in, do they? Hey, if you plan on giving up coffee and diet pepsi, I suggest you start weaning yourself now. I always get a headache if I don't get my AM caffiene fix.

Arista and Michele, I'm another offspring of an alcoholic. Both my parents abused the stuff, but my mom was the one who couldn't get to sleep without it. I'm pretty sure the dementia/alzheimer's symptoms she's showing now are due to the alcohol's affect on her brain.

Michele, I'd love to know you were doing the rotation with me. I don't have all of the workouts either, but have already decided what to substitute. I did buy Power Hour etc with my gift certificate.:7 I don't know if Allen knows our names. LOL. Just tell him you know the Armenian lady from W-port.

Oy, I'm spending too much time here, and not enough at work. So long you lovely haters.

Hi ladies -

Just dropping in. I have another busy day at work today. I am so far behind on personals x(

I just did a 20 min walk this morning, running late. I did some walking with DH on Sunday, and Saturday I had major fatigue so took a long nap and didn't workout.

Today I ate chicken for lunch! I can't believe it. I was at a sandwich place and none of the vegetarian options sounded any good so I just got a chicken wrap and it was yummy. I am still on the ETL plan, but also making sure I get enough protein and other things for the baby. There were no good options at this place.

I have my first doctor's appointment on Wednesday! They will do an ultrasound so I should be able to see the sack and the tiny baby inside and probably be able to see the heartbeat! I just pray that everything is okay in there and that the heartbeat can be seen! My mom is randoming coming into town on Wednesday night for a visit. I was going to have dinner with her Wed and lunch on Thursday, but I will have to work all night on Wednesday. So DH and I will take her to lunch on Thursday and tell her the good news then (if everything goes okay at the Dr.'s office). I know I already told you, but giving her a copy of the ultrasound picture in a frame that says "I love Grandma and Grandpa". She will be so excited!

Hey Dana! What did I do over the weekend? I had to run several errands and do major grocery shopping. DH had to take my car again todayx( , so I had to make sure that I ran every conceivable errand that might come up for today. Saturday I did that CC press play workout again, too. I just LOVE that workout. You know, Dana, you don't have to have an mp3 player to use the CC workouts. You can download them onto a CD, too, if you have a CD burner on your computer. The workouts are $14.95 a piece and, like I said, you can download them onto an mp3 or a CD. I highly recommend them :) :) :) :) :) :) :D :+

Your meals look great! So what the cookies! I completely agree that you need to get rid of those things (by eating them:9) and then start on your clean eating journey;)

Robin, I'm in! Okay, here's a list of the workouts I don't have (I ordered the Step Blast series over the weekend but I haven't received a shipping notice yet). Tell me what you think of my planned substitutions.

* SJP - plan to sub with Cardio & Weights
* Leaner Legs - plan to use GS Legs or PLB
* Cardio Kicks - will use Kick Max
* Cardio Fusion (I regifted it:) ) - plan to do a CC on Eli
* IMAX 3 - plan to commit suicide...er...do a CC on Eli
* Legs and Glutes - by this time I'm hoping my order comes, if not, GS Legs or PLB
* KPC - I should definitely have the Step Blast series by then
* MM - will sub with PH or ME
* MIC - CC and ELI

Does this look okay? I may sub a few other workouts, too. I don't know if I can make it through Lo Max so I might sub with either Low Impact Step or another Eli workout.

ETA Robin, PH was a great choice. I think that was my first ever Cathe purchase. It still kills me!

Hi Diane! We must have posted at the same time.

I'll keep you in my prayers that your ultrasound goes well. I think you're taking very good care of yourself. You're forgiven for eating the chicken. It's more important that you maintain adequate nutrition than it is to follow a specific dietary plan anyway. Have you considered a consultation with a registered dietitian? They might be able to advise you on how best to stick with a vegan diet while pregnant. With so many fruits and veggies (a VERY GOOD thing), it must be a significant reduction in calories for you. I don't know much...well...I don't know anything about dietary requirements during pregnancy, but since you're fairly new to a vegan lifestyle, a consultation might be a good idea and fun, too!

I'm sure your mom will flip. I still love the framed ultrasound idea. Please, please, tell us everything, promise?

I asked my DH if he's ever consulted with your firm but he hasn't. You asked me awhile back if he does does work for defendants or plaintiffs. He does both, but probably a little more on behalf of defendants. He's not doing as much legal consulting as he used to, though. He gets frequent requests but he doesn't have much time for it -- he's too busy seeing patients. We know some docs that practically make a living by doing legal consults and DH always kind of laughs about that. He says he doesn't know how they can be considered experts when they rarely see patients because they're too busy doing legal consults--lol!

Michele - I have read some stuff online and in books about vegan or vegetarian diet during pregnancy. I do agree that I was eating a lot fewer calories on ETL, which I probably why I lost weight, so I eat a lot of snacks now through out the day to add some healthy calories. When I read a menu of what to eat while pregnant on a vegan diet in one of my books, I could not even imagine eating all that food in one day! I am just not that hungry and my stomach gets full really fast. So I just have to kinda graze all day long so my stomach doesn't get too full. It is way too full right now just from eating a regular sized wrap for lunch. I think I have already gained a pound or two, so I am definitely getting some calories. I never count my calories, so I will just monitor my weight gain and make sure I am gaining enough.

I have been craving meat lately - buffalo wings of all things! I never eat them EVER! And I really want chinese food all the time. It is so weird that I would want to eat all of these strongly flavored foods - you would think I would want something more bland. But my theory is that I should give into my cravings within reason, so I will. All I want is salty food, I am never in the mood for something sweet. We got ice cream the other night after dinner at ben and jerry's, and I didn't even want it and gave it to DH.

That is good that you husband continues to practice mostly - people that are experts full time are just not as reliable as witnesses.

I wish my stomach got full really fast! It sounds like you're doing everything just right, although I'm not sure I would ever crave Chinese food or buffalo wings--lol! I LOVE plain wings, though:9.

Was I saying "Step Blast" ^^^ there? I meant the Body Blast series ;)

Hello Haters!

Robin- Well, I didn't do Powerstrike tonight. I should know better than to plan a hard cardio w/o for a Monday night, I'm always so tired. So, I did Friday nights w/o tonight & doing tonights on Friday.

Dana- Oops, thanks for catching that, I meant to say and Jan. already gone too but left out the "gone"!!! :) I like the diet minder by memory minder journals to keep track of daily calories for writing it down & not using a computer, you can get it online at barnes & noble.

Michele- Oh, I LOVE texas cake, yum-o! You should get out your crockpot... the only reason I'm a crockpot "whiz" is b/c I don't know how to cook anything else!!! I like to just be able to toss everything in and let it do it own thing w/o me having to fuss over it. Hence, the only things I know how to make are in a crockpot...unless you call microwaving food cooking!!

Arista- What DVD's do you currently have?

Diane- Oh, I am so excited, keep us posted on the appoitment!!! How exciting, your mom is going to be so happy!!

Terri- Getting ready to check e-mail, didn't see you on here today.

Well as I told Robin above I didn't do Powerstrike tonight as planned-I should know better than to plan a hard cardio on Monday!!! So, I did Friday w/o-B&G Leg Blast Premix & the Floor Work tonight and will do Powerstrike Friday night.

Well as always I am starving about ready to eat my arm so going to go get something to eat! Hope everyone had a wonderful Monday and has an even better Tuesday!

Evenin' ladies from the land of the frozen tundra (-30 below zero this morning, ACTUAL TEMP...when WILL it warm up?!? And NO, school was not cancelled, not even a 2-hour delay)I did Amy Bento's Kickbox Xtreme today. Love, love the workout, thanks to Jen to sent it to me. It's the second time I've done it and there's still some learning to do. But boy, was I drenched! It felt so good! Yesterday, I did Firm It Up by Beach Body. That is a great lower body workout just using your own body weight. I love that one, too. Goal is to lean out these thunder thighs or as another poster called hers, "famine relief packages" LOMAOTFL or however you say, laughing my a** off on the floor laughing :)

August: I feel so much better about not having to do planks. :) If you want, you can go to the Video Clips and click on LIC to preview the song. It's Step Combo #1 and Step Blast #2. I just can't seem to let this question go...Funny that you were ravenous after eating your deep fried lunch. Do you think sometimes we just have to let go for just one meal in order to keep moving forward?

Arista: Deuce is definitely rules the roost! He gets so jealous if DH pets the cat. We'll purposely hug and kiss just to make him jealous. He'll jump on his or start whining; it's hilarious!

Jen: Your workouts sound great. I'm increasing my w/o's to 6 days a week. Once the meds kick in, hoping I'll start seeing results. I have to smile about your and Arista's comments re: children. One of my closest and dearest friends from high school just had her first baby at age 37. She and her hubby did a lot of traveling, partying, etc. But eventually, they wanted more out of life. Point is where you are now in life is probably not where you'll be later. Enjoy what you're doing now and don't worry about the kid/family issue. You may feel completely different in 5-8 years from now. BTW, my youngest is the result of a failed vasectomy...And every day I look at her and thank God my DH was too embarassed to bring in his sample...what a blessing!

Robin: 3 cases of wine, eh? What kinds? I hear ya on the sweets - terrible sweet tooth I have. Did you join the no sweets check-in?

Dana: Date night with hubby was watching Discovery Channel HD about "Becoming a Man in Siberia" and then another show about a tribe in the jungle who were essentially naked, couldn't tell if it was a man or woman except for the well, you know whats, ate insects to survive, made treehouses to live to get away from the mosquitos and other fascinating stories. I was amazed at how a Mongolian Nomadic tribe in Siberia and a tribe in the jungle could survive with seemingly so little. It made me feel very guilty for all that I have and how easy my life is, yet still find things to complain about. The stories were truly astounding! Looks like you've got a great start to journaling your food intake. That's really key, isn't it?

Michele: having pets is like having kids: you'll always worry about them, need someone to take care of them while you're gone and love every bit of them!

Diane: what great excitement! Please fill us in on the ultrasound and your mom's reaction. Do you think she'll be able to tell just by looking at you? "I can read you like a book" is what my mom always used to tell me (and still does for that matter!).

Sorry if I missed anyone - how many are on this check -in?

Keep warm!
Terri

I'm just peeking here! I had a 'hate cardio episode' Saturday so Michele invited me in for visit. In my 'cardio hate mode' I punished my self with B&G and I still have DOMS 2 days later, geez!

(Diane- congratulations on expecting a baby. I didn't realize it when we conversed over on theETL thread! :7 )
Judy "Likes2bfit"

If you fail to plan, then you plan to fail.

Judy - You should join us in the "I hate cardio" land more often!!! Robin does and she ALWAYS like cardio... so, even if you hate it every so often we'll take you! :) Although I am one that would NEVER do cardio if my thighs and *ss wouldn't grow 10 times the size they are now!!

Oh & Dana- Glad you liked my comment on the tipping thread! I mean, come on!!!

Terri- Hello!!! Glad you are surviving the cold, it was -1 on my Jeep temp gauge while driving to work this morning & I thought that was cold! I am really glad you like the Amy Bento w/o, it would've sat in my pile of DVDs forever w/ me never doing it so I'm glad it found a loving home for it!!! :p

Good evening everyone. I'm sorry, but I don't have time to speak to all of you lovely woman. Greyor has been fussy all night and DH had car trouble, so dinner wasn't eaten until 8! I'm trying to catch up here before heading to bed. I did get Body Max 2 done this evening and was suprised that it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. I took it a little easy, but managed to get through the whole thing.

Michele, those look like pretty good substitutions to me. I'll be subbing in a few places too. I think I recall you once stating you'd never buy anything with the word blast in it.}(

Hi Judy, I'd love to have another cardio lover infiltrate the ranks here.

Diane, good luck with your ultrasound. I'll be praying. Let us know your Mom's reaction.

Gotta go. Tomarrow comes way too fast.

Hello all!

Wow, I'm surprised how pervasive alcoholism is... although I shouldn't be. I once saw a statistic saying the 40% of adults are alcoholics (drinking a certain number of beverages every night or binge drinking).

I think I need to join that No Sweets board... I can't seem to stick with my resolutions not to eat them.

Dana - I see you're giving up coffee. I just did that too (for a couple weeks) and I found that having a cup of black tea in the morning and drinking green tea throughout the day really helped with any headaches I might have gotten. PLUS, tea is so good for you, its a really good habit to get into (and it has caffeine - woohoo!) Good luck!

Diane - I was a vegetarian for a while, and as much as I know how good it is to be one, eating meat always gave me more vitality. So I eat meat about three times a week now, and chicken is my favorite. If you choose Foster Farms chicken, they don't use antibiotics or hormones to raise the chicken, or there are a lot of good natural choices out there too.

How exciting about your ultrasound. Yes, please tell us all about it!

And will someone please tell me what ETL is?? :p

Jen - I hear you about the Monday cardio. All I feel like doing on Monday is a hot bath and a glass of wine. But, that's the great thing about exercise - its stress relieving too. Right now, I own the Timesaver DVD, Low Max, hi-step challenge, a cardio sculpt workout from Tracy York and Michele Doizois, and a really awful boot camp workout from Denise Austin (a gift from my guy). I have a bunch of recorded VHS tapes from when I was younger, but they're such a pain to use, I rarely pull them out. May I should though, because I'm getting desparate for something different.

Terri - OMG! Where do you live that its 30 below?? Wow. We got to 18 below this winter over here in Washington, but OMG! Thanks for that smart advice about kids. You're right, at this point in my life, it doesn't feel quite right, but as I get older, I get closer to feeling like kids might be a really great thing. Famine relief packages??? LMAO!! I'll use that one in the future for sure... I could feed a small third-world country with these thighs!! Its either fat thighs, or extrememly large muscular thighs. Right now, they're just kinda fat. What i wouldn't give for legs that were longer than they are wide! Just kidding, but come on!

Judy - Welcome!! Come join the haters. We need to band together (even if we only hate cardio every now and then). }(

Alright, I think I'm going to need to be focusing more on time management (especially since I work and go to school from home). There are just too many distractions in your own house. I'm going to limit myself to this board once a day in the evening and start planning my workouts and food the night before. Hopefully that will me stay on track.

Have a great night girls! :D
