Can you be here between 4 and 5 to greet my exterminator?}(

Well, if I bludgeon him, then he won't be able to get rid of your ants. Or should I just wait til he's done, then smack him with the large, heavy object?

Oh yes, wait until he's done, THEN you can bludgeon him, or spray him down with his can of noxious chemicals -- bludgeoners choice :7

Shelley, I knew there was a reason I look to you for help. I need you to save me from my own evil dictates. ;)

dana great jury story
and the poor woman with the drink problem
the biggest part of the disease is the self denial
there is a woman who now lives up north but returns to daytona once a year to remind herself of where she came from so that she will never go back.... She tells of living in a box and still didnt think she had a problem cause she wasnt like "those others" who had no shelter
Now if thats not deluding yourself

So girls..... can you give me any stats on how the exersize has affected anyone
do you see any definition of muscles
do you feel stronger
do your clothes fit better
I see from the pics that some of you are young ladies with great bodies,,are there any here who are overweight like i am

LOL there is a kooky "All Star Workout" on now i think I'll go do some of it
see you later

OK confession time
I am 61
I did not grow up smoking weed as others my age did i got married at 19 and started haveing a family and baking bread. so I was a pretty mild young person. I had my first joint when i was 31 cause i wanted to try what "everyone" else in the world was smoking..
Never was my thing, maybe would smoke 2-3 joints a year and usually only when i was already wasted from drinking.
But who knows why i had a joint in my pocketbook once and I was the secratary of a grand jury panel.
I was sitting at the front of the room with the DA in front of me while he was talking about a drug case we were going to be voting on when i felt a sneeze come on... i started rummaging thru my pocketbook for a tissue found one and quickly grabbed it and sneezed into it, not before the joint came out of my pocketbook and started rolling across the desk...I threw the tissue on it and grabbed it back into my purse. I am sure the DA saw it and chose to ignore. Imagine if he arrested me or made a stink> It would have probably caused every case we tried to be thrown out of court

By the way i dont smoke anymore lol especially since i realized after i quit drinking that i NEVER want any judgement of mine to be made with the aid of anything except my full awareness and will power
that doesnt mean all my choices are good but i can take full credit or blame for them myself

Michele and Shelley, you guys crack me up.

Dear Mariah, God bless you for your committment to yourself. I'm glad you decided to be sober and have been able to stick to that decision. I'm 51 and have been overweight since about 4th grade. Yes, the workouts pay off. I have muscle definition and I feel strong. I'll never eat clean enough to look like some of the younger girls here, but I shutter to think what I'd look like without Cathe.

Arista, I've decided to just give in and enjoy today too. I'm a pretty devout Christian, but as a Baptist, I don't really do the Lent thing. But I'm going to try to stick to a cleaner diet while you guys do with out sweets and stuff. I'll only have a glass of wine or 2 on the weekend and will strive to not eat any snacks not planned during work hours and while preparing dinner.

Dana, that story is a riot. Pot butter. Who'd a thunk it.

I did Step Blast today. My asthma has been acting up and I coughed through the whole thing, but I got 'er done.

My DD skipped classes today to spend time at the hospital with the baby. She said they pulled the NG tube they were feeding him through and said he could come home as early as tomarrow! Yipee!

Evening haters! Wow, you have all been chatty today... I am exhausted so I aplogize for not reading in detail all the posts... I did skim them though.

I did Shape It Up tonight-78 min. w/o from beachbody.

My computer @ work crashed yesterday so I've had a couple trying days at work, hence the reason I'm so mentally drained. Good thing tomorrow night is my night off from working out!

Fat Tuesday... YIPPEE! I have actually been to New Orleans for the parties before... WOW, lots of stories from that trip that I could tell... }(

August- It was a Jimmy Buffett concert outside in St. Louis... the line for the bathroom was like ten miles long & I HAD TO GO, I mean I had like 10 beers in me & there was no holding it. So, my friend & I went behind the building the bathrooms were in & I popped a squat. The security people saw us and escorted us out through the back way...luckily he was playing his last song then so it actually helped us get back to the bus quicker! I was 21 I think...so 9 years ago!
How is the constuction going?

Mariah- How the weather in FL? Jury duty, ICK! Good for you & changing your life...I never liked pot that much cause all it did was make me hungry! Although if you smoke enough of it, that feeling passes- as you can tell I had my "days" with the stuff too but got over that real quick! Now, stopping smoking cigarettes was a lot harder but I managed that too! :)

Michele- Glad to hear DH made it home safe & sound. Ants gone yet? I kept meaning to tell you that when I bought my house and first moved in I had ants bad in the basement(which is finished) back in the weight room. I called people & they found the "nest" of them in a shrub in the front of my house & killed the nest or whatever they call it and I haven't had them since. So, hopefully yours will be something easy like that also.

Dana- That really stinks about not being able to get the VHS ones, I love Powerstrike 1- I am drenched in sweat when I'm done. I think it is even tougher than KPC. That story is too funny! I never understood people liking pot... I mean come on, the stuff makes you hungry! HELLO, I don't need any help eating, got that under control thank you very much! What w/o did you end up doing?

Shelley- Pancakes, yum-my favorite. I have a hard time stopping when I eat them so I really have to limit myself! Did you have pancakes for dinner? How was the 4 mile run? Was today a better day for you? I hope so. I hope you made it to Michele's to take out your PMS on the ant guy!!!

Arista- Don't worry about a few extra pounds, who cares. Life is too short to worry about a pound or two or ten, right??

Diane, Terri, Robin and anyone else I missed, hello!

Hope everyone had a wonderful day, I might BBL if anyone is around.

Jen - I didn't end up making pancakes. I had my SO go and get us fish and chips, which was a huge mistake. Then I did Ab Ripper X and my 4 mile run. Now I'm off to the shower and BED!

Glad you got your workout in, I saw on the OD that you were trying to talk yourself into working out. As someone said you always feel great once it is done but I have about one day a week that I have to "force" myself to work, typically is the day right before my "off day", which I do once a week so after 5 consecutive days of working out the 6th is always hard, which was tonight for me-glad it is over!

I am heading to bed real soon also-sad b/c it is only 8PM here but I've had the munchies so bad that if I don't go to bed I'll keep eating!

BB tomorrow evening!

Hi Jen - Yep, life is short, so I'm not sweatin' it. The pounds that is. And I'm not sweatin' period. I took today off. I just feel so gross. It must be TTOM comin' on. I know a workout would make me feel better, but since I'm doing the Lent thing tomorrow, I decided to go straight for wine and sweets. }(

Yep, quitting smoking is VERY hard. I quit about 5 years ago, and then all of a sudden wanted to smoke again last summer so I started up a bit (work was stressful, and it just felt good, kinda). But it didn't feel THAT good. My workouts suffered, I got headaches. And I'm glad too, or I might still be doing it now. Yuck.

Pot is terrible for the snacking. I'm so glad I never really liked it when I did it. DBF used to like it, but I never got into it. Thank goodness. Like I need more snacks in my life!

Shelley and Michele... you guys are hilarious. Thanks for the laughs. I need them today. whoo - really cranky!

Mariah - I was 60 pound overweight for a long time as a young girl/teenager. And I've been at least 10-20 pounds overweight for the rest of my life. I have pretty stocky genes so I hold on to muscle and fat like its going out of style. At least I won't get osteoporosis though, right? Love those big bones. Ha ha ha...

I read on another post something about these hypnosis CD's that people have tried to really help kick their willpower into high gear. So I'm going to order them and use them every night (instead of eating dessert...ooooh, this Lent is going to be the end of me!) How long is Lent anyway? Shows what I know.

The website for the CD's is www.tomnicoli.com. They have proven successful for a lot of people, so why not? I would die to be back down in the 130's!

I hope noone is offended that I'm doing Lent, but don't go to church. I just wasn't raised that way, although I do believe in some sort of higher power thing. Lord knows I don't have the power!! :p

OK, I'm just procrastinating homework now. Have a really great night gals. Catch ya tomorrow.
