HATE - Feb 2

August

Cathlete
Good morning, Haters!

I did my CTX Upper body workout and it was great! But when I tagged on a warm up and a cool down, it ended up taking me an hour and 15 minute to do the thing, and then I was too starving to do any cardio. Oh well. I SUPPOSE I'll survive without doing cardio today LOL.

Terri - I've been in Tokyo over ten years now. I can't believe the time just vanishes! I've lived and worked here long enough that I really don't think about the culture. The only difference when I'm back in the States is that I can listen in to other people's conversations at restaurants without any effort LOL. Though I guess that has nothing to do with culture...Ahh, Madden. I see. I thought it had something to do with anger, heh...The CTX song isn't one I can't get out of my head (thankfully), it's just one that I can't stand. I mean, I become immobilized and then irritated during my workout because it bugs me so much. The song has kind of a cracked voice chanting, and someone in the Sound department loves that stock song to no end. I want to strangle the guy LOL....I wouldn't say that CTX is a heavy leg lifting workout. It's more of a middle-ground short leg workout. But you could certainly go heavy, unless you're afraid you might throw one of the heavy weights through the wall because of that awful song LOL....As into my Nintendo as I am, I'm actually not familiar with any of the games aside from the three I do!

Michele - Welcome back! I'm so glad to hear that you and the snake had a good visit. I felt excited for you and your breakfast! That's a nice and worthy way to treat yourself after that procedure! Anyway, go easy on the exercise for a couple days. And just one more week of eye treatment! It will go fast, so enjoy that gel! LOL.

>I can't have the sign of the devil in my post count, for crying out loud--LMAO!

ROTFLMAO!

Ooh, your dinner sounds really yum. You have 200 cookbooks? So do I! Oh no wait, I have 2.....Oh yeah, I do have a yoga mat. I could drape that on the step. I wonder if that might help? It's certainly worth a try!

>The little devil is almost gone

OMG, that totally is cracking me up.

Oooh, that row looks really, really comfortable. I MUST try that next time. I have to figure out how I can do that with the lack of equipment here. When I do my rows, I have to support myself by putting my supporting arm across my bent leg, with the elbow at the knee and the hand, well, at my crotch. That so-so supports my back, but it's not so comfortable. That row position looks absolutely awesome, Michele! Thanks for that link!

Dana - I do have Core Max. It's the one I told Michele not to get because I never use it LOL. I should pull it out and give it a go. Maybe if the CTX all abs is too long, I'll do Core Max instead...Your menu for today sounded really yummy (oh, I guess it was yesterday). But wait. Whatever happened to Peach Chicken? You could serve that with spinach. Or even blend it in with the peach, and then you wouldn't be able to taste it.

>IFL could mean in a future life!!!

LOL.

Okay, wait you guys - I have an extremely terribly wincingly sensitive animal heart. I love all living creatures big, small, ugly and obnoxious, so would it be all right if I begged that we keep the talk of evil disposal and target practice of them to a major minimal? I'm serious. I have a problem. I catch bugs and put them outside. I do.

Robin - Oh, I hope you'll be able to post your cupcake! Even more than see it though, I sure wish I could EAT one.

Diane - I'm glad to hear you were able to have a good time last night and that your friend and you guys were able to share the secret in a secret way.

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG!!!!!!!!!!!! I just saw the Groundhog Cupcake, that is a riot!! I love it! How funny and cute!! But I'm such an animal lover that I wouldn't be able to eat the groundhog! No, just kidding, I'd totally snarf him down. Robin, it looks sooooo yummy!!!!

Jen - Good Lawd, you had quite the workout! That chipped disc story was cool! Most of all, this : 4th back flip. 4th back flip?! Cool! That's almost worth chipping a disc just so you can tell everyone about your back flips!...I'm so glad I don't know the name to that song I can't stand. LOL.

Woo hoo! I saw Terri! I saw Terri! You're very pretty! And could you please come help me with my pitiful apartment?

Arista - I'm the same - my blub is pretty evenly proportioned so I guess I shouldn't complain. But I'd still love to have thin, long legs LOL...Wow, so you can run? I've always been fascinated by that. Maybe I should get some dogs? Hmm. Something tells me that wouldn't solve anything for me...You must tell Deb and me (and DANA) when you've tried the spinach in your smoothie! You won't taste a thing!... KPC is Kentucy Pried...no, that's waaay too stupid to write. I apologize. KPC is Kick, Punch & Crunch, which is one of Cathe's kickboxing workouts...Oh, that's great to hear that the cats are getting along again. And I can't wait to see their photos!

Well, its 11 p.m. and I've got a full day planned tomorrow, so i thought I'd reply now... even though its sill technically February 1st where I am.

August - I can see how you would think Madden was something to do with anger. I can't stand football video games (or any sport games for that matter). Which Nintendo games do you play?

And no, I can't really run. The longest distance I've ever run was 7 miles. And they weren't fast miles. That was 6 years ago and I just recently started running again now that I live in the "big city". It was a pitiful 2 miles at a struggling pace. But the dogs always pull me down the road, so I figure if I run them for a couple miles, they'll tire out and let me do some good walking. All in all, I got about 4 miles in.

And in response to an earlier post, you should definitely get a cat or dog August (if you don't have one already). You mention putting bugs outside (which I do too - I try not to kill spiders or anything... LOL), so save a shelter animal. You'll be glad you did. Right now, I have 2 cats and 2 dogs in bed with me... I can't imagine my life without them. (I'm so soft. Its so bad that I had to pull over and cry the other day when I accidentally hit a squirrel driving to work).

OK, so now I know what KPC is (which I love), so what is CTX? LOL I doubt I'll ever get these abbreviations....

Have a good day girls! I'll check back in in the evening. I'm getting my hair cut and new glasses tomorrow, so I'm way excited!! I haven't got new glasses in 5 and a half years. (i switch back and forth between contacts and glasses).

Hiya,

7 miles?! Good Gawd, Girl! The most I ever ran was down the street after a sweet potato truck (don't ask LOL). 2 miles at a struggling pace is enviable.

The Nintendo games I have are : Animal World, Mario and Brain Somethingorother. I play the brain one at night and it totally makes me fall into a deep slumber LOL. It's great.

CTX is Cross Train Express and can be used as a rotation in itself - cardio + weights (different body parts throughout the week). I actually haven't tried much of it yet, so I can't say much about it, but from what I've read, it seems people either really like it or don't like it much at all. They are shorter cardio and weights, so you can do both every day in an hour, or else use them as add-ons.

Okay.....um..........I'm not going to write it out because I don't want to jink myself, but I'm not reading Kitty books for nothing! :) So nobody ask me about it. :*

Have a nice hair cut! And I hope you can find some cool glasses!

7 miles? I have never made it past 4 miles I don't think. My kness don't like it past that point.

I did a 20 min walk this morning and a prenatal stretch from Fitmama dvd. I liked the stretch. I was going to walk longer but it started getting to cold and misty outside and I didn't want to catch a cold. I am actually sore in my back from the workout yesterday, so it must have worked my back more than I thought.

Listen to what happened to me last night. I was asked to stay late to help some people work on a motion. They ordered dinner for everyone because we were staying so late. Well, 7:15 pm rolls around and I am starving and so I email one of the other attorneys and ask if the food had been delivered yet. After a while, I finally get an email back that the order got "messed up". I think they totally forgot I was here and either (1) the secretary didn't order my food (which is what they claim happened) or (2) they just ate my food and forgot about me. Either way, they didn't remember that I was here and didn't have any food, even if the secretary forgot to order it. So I had to go out in the cold weather and find myself some food at night in downtown Houston. Not the best place for a young girl to be sometimes. Anyway, I finally ate my dinner sometimes after 8 and just inhaled it, I was so famished. I'm eating for two here!!! If they only knew that I was pregnant, can you imagine how much worse they would feel? I was really pissed though, because I was doing them a huge favor by staying late to help them (past 10 pm when I finished) and they just forgot about me.

Anyway, today should be a great day at work. All the partners are at the annual partners meeting all day. When the bosses are away, the associates will play, or whatever that phrase is. So I am planning on a leisurely lunch and I am leaving at 4:30 today to get a haircut. I finished most of the work I have yesterday and I don't have any pressing deadlines, so I can just play on the internet today and mess around. It should be fun :)

Hi everybody!

August, yes, yes, by all means take a cardio free day! I don't have CTX yet, but I plan to order it at some point. I want to order the Blast series and I might just do that real soon. I just preordered Tracey Staehle's Scupt Sweatfest DVD and one of her older workouts called Core Strength and Conditioning. I hope I like them. I think the scupt DVD is another high rep low weight workout but it looks quite a bit different than Jari Love's or Cathe's endurance stuff. Variety is the spice of life, right?

I'm glad you liked the video clip of the dumbbell row. Now that I have my workout room all set up with a standard weight bench it's much easier to do things like rows and triceps kickbacks.:)

Okay, maybe I don't have 200 cookbooks, but 150 is probably a good guess. Oh that Chicken and Barley Bake recipe was awesome! The flavor was reminiscent of Chicken Cacciatore. I made a few changes; I used red bell peppers instead of the yucky green ones (which I think taste like paint thinner;( ), and I didn't put the milk in at the end. My DH lapped it up. This recipe is definitely going on my regular rotation. It was easy and not terribly time consuming, except for chopping all the veggies.

>>Okay.....um..........I'm not going to write it out because I don't want to jink myself, but I'm not reading Kitty books for nothing! So nobody ask me about it. <<

I demand to know--ROTFLMAO!!

Wow Arista!! I can't run to the bathroom much less 2 miles:eek: . That was a great start for you, though, My goodness...2 miles...I'm in awe;)

I agree that August should get a kitty cat. I want you to know that I hate bugs and I hope this doesn't have a negative effect on our relationship--LMAO! I hate bugs...bugs give me the willies. If you could see me through your computer screen I would be shaking with the willies.:p

Diane, great job on the workouts and the walking! I cannot believe they forgot about you when they ordered the food. Oh, that is so rude -- especially since you were there late as a favor to them!!

Okay, I have another recipe for you from Michele's own good health recipe index:9 (I got this recipe from the Cooking Light website). Diane, this one is vegan friendly, too.

Roasted Red Pepper and Cannellini Bean Dip

1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar
1 (16-ounce) can cannellini beans, rinsed and drained
1 (7-ounce) bottle roasted red bell peppers, rinsed and drained
1 large garlic clove
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Place first 5 ingredients in a food processor; process until smooth. With processor on, slowly add oil through food chute. Stir in salt and black pepper.

Yield: 8 servings (serving size: 1/4 cup)

NUTRITION PER SERVING
CALORIES 62(51% from fat); FAT 3.5g (sat 0.5g,mono 2.5g,poly 0.5g); PROTEIN 1.5g; CHOLESTEROL 0.0mg; CALCIUM 16mg; SODIUM 272mg; FIBER 1.5g; IRON 0.6mg; CARBOHYDRATE 5.9g

**I used a 19 oz can of beans and a 10 oz jar of peppers, but did not increase the other ingredients. It makes plenty and it's very yummy.

I served it with cucumber slices, celery, carrots, bell pepper strips, Belgian endive leaves, asparagus spears, and warm WW pita bread cut into triangles. :9

I'm going to forage for some lunch. I might just have some more of that dip with veggies!!

Oh yeah, I have to do my workout, too. I think I'm doing RTTC.

I'll BBL:* :* :*

Michele - That dip sounds so yummy! I will have to make it. I have never tried endive leaves. I always see them at the store and wonder what I would do with them when I got them.

Diane, endive is kind of bitter which balances nicely with the dip, but I wouldn't buy more than 1 head to start with because it's one of those things you may need to develop a taste for. I almost always mix it in with other greens in salads. My standard salad mix is romaine, spinach, Belgian endive, red leaf lettuce, and radicchio. I find that mixing bitter greens in with romaine and leaf lettuce is a great way to grow accustomed to them.

I hope you like the dip. It's so easy and really delicious!

ETA that I've also grilled endive leaves before and served them as a side dish.

ETA that I almost forgot that I cut up some jicama, too, which went very well with the dip.

There now, I think that's everything. Now I can eat lunch in peace--lol!

Hi everyone. TGIF right?!?!?!

August my dear. Did I offend you with my groundhog stories? I am an animal lover but I do not like ground hogs at all. I mean, its not like I try to run them over w/my car. So far, I have never hit a groundhog. They are just creepy and yucky (just like a guinea pig). I actually can tolerate bugs way more then those rodents. I wonder if a groundhog is a rodent? They sure are ugly. There is even a commercial for the Pa Lottery where they use a groundhog as the main character in the commerical. He gives me the willies too. Gus is his name.

So what did I get last night in the mail? My Christi DVD. Why did I listen to you???? LOL I ordered the one that said that the choregraphy was moderate. I previewed it last night and heck if that is moderate, I'd hate to see her complex workouts. I was getting tired just watching her with all the turns and pivots she does. Good God girl! But I do have to say that she has an energetic personality and the music was really good. I can see why you like her so much. It should be a hoot when I try to do the workout. I may surprise myself and catch on since I am doing better with catching on to Cathe's moves.

And the peach chicken was pretty gross. I don't know why I even subscritbed to Taste of Home Magazine??? I can never find a decent recipe.

Robin - your cupcakes turned out so cute. You are so creative. Did you have a GH party at work? How was that? Are you feeling better today? I hope so since it is almost the weekend.

Michele - you are soooo funny w/your Devil posts. I was "secretly" scared when getting my kiddos SS #'s that they would have the 666 in them. I probably would have requested new ones (if you can). Your recipe from last night sounded so good. Did you use the thighs/legs or did you use breasts? I really don't care for dark meat so I always substitute w/breast meat. As for my WW cookbook, when I first got it I was gung ho and using it every night. The recipes are really good and healthy but most of them take quite a bit of preparation and call for ingredients that I didn't have. A lot of the stuff called for sauces to pour over the food and I didn't make that since I am the only person in my house that would eat the sauces. Laundry??? That sounds fun! You never did say how that movie was that you and DH went to see.

Terry - I checked out your site and you are beautiful. I love your hair. You look really great so how can your dr say you have big arms? That just doesn't sound right.

Diane - that is plain rotten of your co-workers to forget about you. You need to take care of yourself and baby-to-be!!! We are so proud of you and your workouts. You're doing great!

Arista - I'm glad that your kitties have finally decided to get along with each other. LOL. What kinds of dogs do you have? I know you said you had a husky, is the other one a husky too? What are their names?

Jen - sounds like you got in a nice workout yesterday. At my old job we also used to get (2) 15 minute breaks so I was able to get in 2 miles too. Isn't it nice to get that break? Especially if you are having a particular crappy day.

Did I forget anyone? Hi to Deb and Jana and Kate (wherever you are)!!!!

Nothing going on here. My office just ordered pizza for lunch and I passed!!! I brought in the rest of my stirfry and a yogurt. We are supposed to be having a pizza party and taking down the Christmas tree. Yes, you read that correct, we still have the huge (artifical) tree up in our office.

Listen to what Gabe said to me last night. For those of you that don't know, Gabe is my 5 year old son. I was reaching up to get something and my shirt crept up exposing my FAT rolls (they are not love handles, there is nothing lovely about them, I refer to them as FAT rolls). So he says, mom, it looks like you are growing babies out of each side of your body. Gee, thanks! He is lucky he is only 5!!!!!

Anyone have anything exciting going on over the weekend? So far, I've got nothing at all planned. Hopefully I can catch up on some sleep - I barely slept last night.

Have great day everyone! :)

Dana, that Gabe! He's too much -- lol!

I agree, Christi choreography is too complex for me - YIKES! I think August is a professional Jazz dancer in a secret life we know nothing about. That's the only explanation for her love affair with Christi step routines. I agree that Christi has a lovely personality, and I love it that she's a Christian, but I would probably need a knee replacement if I did all those pivots! LMAO

Hey, I was not going to stand for a post count of 666}( :7

You can use white meat in the chicken and barley recipe. I used thighs because that's what my DH likes. Normally I would put some white meat in for me but they were out when I went to the store. It was so easy to make but a little time consuming with all the chopping, but I don't mind that -- it's kind of therapeutic -- and I'm actually pretty handy with a knife:p }(

The movie...the movie...what movie?...Oh! THAT movie! You mean Letters From Iwo Jima. Oh, it was sad, very sad. I left there feeling so depressed. It was a good movie -- very well done -- but the subject matter was simply depressing. It was in Japanese with English subtitles which I liked a lot. I love foreign movies with subtitles. It makes me feel sophisticated somehow. LMAO!

All right, I gotta go and get something done around here.

LOL about the subtitles Michele. That must be why I like foreign films too. They make me feel sooo superiour to the common folk.

Our Groundhog Day celebration at work was a lot of fun. I was give a cape that said Ms Groundhog 2007, a sash that said the same and a FURRY CROWN. (No animals were harmed making this crown.) We had stew, homemade bread, cornbread, spinach dip, cherry pie and the cupcakes for dessert. The whole department decided we need to do something like that every couple of months or so.

August, I have a good friend who teaches English in Thailand. She gets a kick out of going places and hearing the people talk about her as if she doesn't understand them. She said only once or twice was anything nasty was said, and when she confronted the gentleman, he was appalled and very apologenic. LOL about your hated workout song. Can't you just mute the TV at that point?

Michele, I sort of collect cookbooks too, but I've given a lot away. I just don't have to room. Every couple years our church has a yard sale and I sort through the books and give them whatever I never use. I have a 4 foot tall pile of Cooking Lights that I really need to go through one of these day. I remember seeing that dip recipe in a recent issue and thinking it sounded good. And I'll have to try your barley and chicken dish. Sounds great. PS, thanks again.

Diane, I can't believe they forgot you. Wait till they find out you were pregant. Milk it for all it's worth honey.

Arista, 4 miles sounds great to me. I think I once ran 6 miles. Very slowly. I looong time ago. Now I'm lucky if I can do about 3.

Dana, you need to teach Gabe to NEVER mention a woman's weight. LOL. Out of the mouth of babes. Are you getting snow? It's really pretty here and the only trouble I had driving home was making a detour around an accident on Rt 15.

Well, haters, another day without a workout for me. I feel better, but after a day of work, I'm pooped. I've decided to continue resting and start Cathe's Feb rotation on Monday. I think it starts with Body Max 2?!!? That ought to kill me.

Please forgive me if I forget someone. I'm still learning...sometimes I'm a slow learner...

August - what do you do in Tokoyo? I think I spelled it wrong. Having a pet of any kind is like having a child. I love my dog like my own children. They provide so much companionship and joy. This a.m., the family cat has found a new playroom - the master bathroom. He was scratching at the shower curtain which has a rose pattern and kid you not, sniffing the flower. It was hilarious. It's his new favorite spot. Just don't like it at 5:00 a.m.

Diane, I hope that they offered to get you another meal - shame on them!

Dana, your Gabe story is precious. I talk about eating clean all the time. One day, as a special treat, I ate a WW dessert. My oldest daughter said to her siblings, "Hey, guys! Mom's eating dirty!"

Arista - good for you on running. I think it's one of the best ways to slim down heavy thighs. Not that you have any, though.

Jen - I emailed you a bunch this morning. It's okay about the website. It's undergoing some major changes. I'm excited to get it all done. Are you keeping warm?

Michele - do you like to cook, eh? Favorite dishes you like to share? I love to cook, too. I always need new recipes to try.

Thank you, everyone on the compliments. Believe me, I do have heavy arms. I'm wearing black so everything shrinks. That's why I wear black...:)

Keep warm everyone if you're in the cold snap.

Terri

I am staying late again tonight, but this time I double confirmed that I will have food. My little bean needs some food! Unfortunately, it will be a catered buffet tonight since there are about 10 people helping out, so I can't choose my food and it won't be vegetarian - chicken cordon bleu, salad and green beans. Chicken, cheese and ham!! I don't know if my stomach can handle this! I will have to forego my ETL plan for tonight to make sure I get some protein and enough calories, though I will probably try to scrape of the cheese.

FRIDAY, FRIDAY, FRIDAY - I LOVE FRIDAY'S!!!!!! This week was really busy at work, but since I work on commision that is a good thing but I am mentally drained. Did Cindy Whitmarsh Ultimate Fat Burner tonight, it is an awesome Friday w/o b/c it's quick 45 min. but still I am drenched in sweat when done & feel like I got an awesome w/o.

Arista- Thanks for the "guns" comment. I do a lot of kickboxing and cardio with light weights/high reps. I never lift more than a 10lb. weight when working out my upper body. My diet is also pretty low fat-not clean by any means though, I eat so much boxed food but hey, better than fast food!

August- Yeah and I think once you learn how to do a backflip it's kind of like riding a bike, I think I could still do one... not four by any means but probably one! Hope you are surviving w/o any cardio...LOL!!! What kitty books are you reading? You have to get one, they are so loveable and I bet would be a good nintendo buddy! :)

Diane- That really stinks that they forgot to feed you! They would feel horrible if they knew you are pregnant! Oh, your dinner tonight sounds awesome, I love chicken cordon blue & green beans & if you can't beat a good salad-if it's fresh?!?!

Michele- LOL-"I can't even run to the bathroom let alone 2 miles", thanks for that laugh! That dip sounds amazing!

Dana- I have one Christi DVD, had it for like 2 years now, and haven't done it once... there is no way I'd ever be able to learn that routine. I do like the ab segment of it though! August loves her though so don't want to dog on her too much! I love being able to get away from my desk & clear my head, I wouldn't be able to function if I couldn't do that, I don't take a lunch so that is the only time I can "get away".

Robin- Happy GH Day! Glad you were able to go to work & celebrate!

Terri- Getting ready to check e-mail next, I did Cindy w/o tonight, I love that w/o for Fridays- quick but still get a darn good w/o in and sweat like crazy. It is so cold here, I think tomorrows high is like 16! YIKES!

I am exhausted & looking forward to a relaxing Friday evening with the kitties. You'd think a single 29 year girl would want to go out on a Friday night with friends but after a good w/o all I want to do is put my PJs on & relax!

No huge plans this weekend-it's going to be so cold here I plan on getting a lot of indoor cleaning/organizing done!

Robin - I posted it yesterday!! :) Here you go and happy GH Day again!

Terri and I "met" on this forum, she made a comment about my arms and we started "talking" via e-mail & have been ever since. She is so nice, you should check out her website sometime for her home staging, it is really neat & has a GREAT picture of her on it!

Good evening gals,

You all make running sound like I've really accomplished something. Thanks for the props, but really, when I said a struggling pace, I meant it! Almost all of Cathe's workouts are more intense than me jogging any day. Speaking of, I'm about to go get a workout in, so I'll make this short. I've already used too many excuses today not to workout.

I posted some pics on Picture Trail today, so check 'em out if you get a chance. They're almost all of my animals. No surprise there. I take pictures of them like they're my kids. They are! Here's the link: http://www.picturetrail.com/aristaryan. Forgive me, because I wish I had a good picture of Ryan and I, but I really don't. Maybe we'll get one on our wedding day.. if that ever comes around. Bitter? No. Tapping my foot? Maybe. We've been together for 6 years after all. But, honestly, since we don't have kids, I don't see any reason to rush. Sometimes, I think I want to get married just because everyone else does. Same with wanting to have kids.

I found some really cool glasses today (and some Ralph Lauren prescription sunglasses!) So I splurged. But it was 6 months same as cash, so I went for it. But I have to wait two weeks to get them... I'm really tapping my foot on this one.

Diane - I can't believe they forgot about you!! That really sickens me. You stay to help out the team, and they totally diss you! Argh. I work for a small nonprofit (only 5 employees), so I don't have much of a point of reference for your office environment, but no matter how many people were ordering dinner.. I mean, Come on!! OK, I'm really getting worked up. Sorry. I love the reference you made to your little 'bean'. That's so cute! I want one... no I don't, yes I do...

Michele - that looks like a really yummy recipe! Thanks. I'll have to try it. I seriously need food inspiration. We rotate about three different dinners throughout the week: any variation on a quesadilla (usually with lots of refried beans and just a little cheese and ww tortillas), pizza (when Ryan gets to choose dinner), and stir fry (with tofu and lots of veggies.) Boring!!

Terri - Ok, you might have heavy arms... compared to what? Your fingers? Sorry, I couldn't resist. Your a babe - so work it!

Jen - it sounds like you really like Fridays! Do you really like your job? When I used to really like Fridays, I really hated my job. But maybe that was just me. I was, after all, an insurance agent's assistant, selling insurance. YUCKKK!! I'll never do that again. I just hope you're loving life the rest of the week too! I can't wait for PJ time on Fridays either! I love to spend 3 or 4 hours knitting and staying up watching movies. My fiance works on Friday nights, so I get to be a "single girl" on those nights too.

Robin - good luck on Monday with your Body Max 2. Yikes! I haven't done a really excruciating Cathe workout in a while. Hence the 2 mile jogs and walking the dogs. I really need to build up my endurance also. Bathing suit season is just around the corner. Gotta love that. :(

Dana - Your Gabe story cracked me up! LOL I probably shouldn't have kids if those are the things that come out of their mouths! I haven't been sleeping well either since we brought Gandalf home. He's still in the pattern of staying awake all night and this house is too small for that!

It sounds like everyone here likes the Christi DVDs. What are the most complex, high energy ones? I love complex choreography and high intensity moves on the step... It makes me feel like I've really spent my hour well. :) Where can you get them for cheap?

OK, so much for my short post... I'm off to do my LoMax Cathe workout. If I make it through it, I'll catch ya'll tomorrow!

Arista

I'm back for a quick question. After doing my workout this evening (which I wimped out on 10 minutes early... I was not feeling it), I was doing some planks and had to stop because of wrist pain. I've been having this wrist pain for over 2 years (right after I started my first "office" job). They hurt whenever I use them too much during the day (like when we moved all our stuff, or when I use the computer ALL day). But they REALLY hurt whenever I do flat-hand pushups (which I can only do 4 or 5 real ones because they are so sore and have limited flexibility). I used to be able to bang out 20 pushups, but now I'm a complete wimp. I have to

Does anyone here have that problem? I don't remember any jarring sprain that I incurred, they just started hurting after starting that job. I thought they might get better once I started working out more, but they aren't. Any ideas? I've been to a doctor and they said to take fish oil capsules and do wrist exercises to make them stronger, but that hasn't helped.
