hate cutting onions

My mother uses a candle and she lights it about 5minutes before she cuts her onions! She claims it works! I think it's the same idea as lighting your stove on (previous post), draws the onion gas away or something...plus your kitchen will spell so good with candles lit! hehe

Contacts have no effect - I wear them and still have major problems. The flame is what causes the effect (it's the convection of the flame that sucks the fumes away), so an electric stove won't work. I find refrigeration/freezing has little effect for me, but I am hyper sensitive. The only thing that works for me is the gas stove.
