RE: HATE - crazy posting virus hits Hatesville! March 1...
Jen,
I don't have stomach issues and really they didn't find out what the problem was. I was dx'ed with thyroid cancer 9 years ago and they removed my thryoid. I was one of the unlucky ones who had a treatment resistant type, so the radioactive iodine didn't work (that's after being hospitalized in isolation twice to have it...then they find out it doesn't work ) but I digress......lol
Since treatment doesn't work, they watch me like a hawk and when my bloodwork shows them the cancer is growing, I have another surgery.
Right now there is a trace there, but I've not needed surgery in years! (knock on wood! )
Last year I suddenly had crazy symptoms, severe insomnia, a pounding HARD heart nonstop, chest pain, I completely lost my appetite (which, believe me, is the first time EVER!!! I mean, that's when I KNEW something was REALLY wrong!! ) I lost over 15 pounds and weighed just over 100 pounds.
They thought it had to be hyperthyroid but all my tests were normal for that.....
all the tests on my heart came back normal except for that it was working so very hard and pounding very very hard....
They did say my white blood cell count was low, and potassium but didn't have a diagnosis.
They finally sent me home saying I might have had a "funky" virus and if I didn't start feeling better and gaining weight I'd need to have a bone marrow test...
I did finally start to feel better and now the only lingering symptom is the insomnia.
Every doctor prescribed Ambien or Lunesta and I was on both-separately, for a while. But I finally got myself off and now take an herb, Valerian Root before bed and most nights I can get around 5 hours sleep, sometimes less, every once in a while a little more.
I think I just gave you my entire medical history.....probably more than you were looking for ! Sorry about that!!
But just know that I understand that feeling of being sick and miserable and wanting to be healthy again! I have been working my way back and my workouts are finally almost what they used to be and well, lets just say I dont' have to worry about my appetite OR my weight anymore.
Take care and I hope you get some help soon.
