HATE but we're a lovely bunch - Mar 21

August

Cathlete
Tippity top morning!

So can I tell you about my nap?

I was settled into my good ol' Snake Sofa, sacrificing myself to its magic grip, slowly falling under into its spell......when my partner suddenly quacks out some work-related question from across the room at me and snatches me up and out of captivity. http://bestsmileys.com/angry1/3.gif He knows me better than to do a thing like that. At work no less!

So then I couldn't shake the cranks for at least two hours http://bestsmileys.com/evil/9.gif. That'll teach him to ask me work stuff at work when I'm half asleep.

http://bestsmileys.com/innocent/2.gif

But it was a wonderful day after that, and Oogi was able to go play at her friend's village for a while, and certain circumstances during that playtime activated No Face Kitty to appear today.

No Face Kitty has no face http://bestsmileys.com/clueless/1.gif. You make one for him. I thought I'd made a really cool face for him, but I had no idea that what I thought was just the face was actually the face plus half his head, so the face I made ended up wrapping around his head, making it look giant and swollen. But he seemed fairly pleased with it anyway.

Anyway.

ARISTA - I have never heard of BABEL. It's a movie? A Japanese movie? Sounds like a downer. I also can't stand for downer movies any more. Yup, I'm in Tokyo, but I hope it won't make you associate Tokyo with downerness.

That's so good that their protein bars are good ones. Have you ever had a bad protein bar? You would not believe how BAD they can be. I've also recently discovered that I love protein bars when I'm eating UBER clean. Once you don't eat UBER clean, protein bars taste completely funkified.

I was kind of surprised to see you only eat two proteins a day! Oh wait, I guess there's protein in the bars, too. And don't you be scoffing at 3 pounds. Don't forget you need to take off the pounds slowly or else they get scared and run back home.

You know, I never used to take naps. But in the last couple years I've gotten really good at them. Before, if I napped even just a little, it would totally throw me off at night. But now that my work schedule is so wacky, it's become a necessity for me to learn how to nap. And now I do it with gusto.

Wouldn't it be great if people would just give money to you as wedding presents instead of stuff you don't need? Hey, how about asking that everyone include a receipt with the present, and details on where the store is located? LOL.

Oh yay, you'll be halving your school load! That'll give you more time for fun for sure. And I think the down-to-earth, personal wedding you are planning sounds wonderful. So long as you serve good cake, right?

MARIAH - Hello, busy bee, thank you for your compliment on my wording. It made me happy. LOL for watching Beach Bodies. I've never even previewed my workouts. I know, I should be locked away LOL. I've heard so many great things about the Beach Body series. How do you like them?

I've heard mixed things about Lasik, but of the people I actually know who got it, the thumbs are all way up. It sounds pretty great.

OMG, I can't believe your blind date story!!!!!! WTH?! That's like something I would see in a movie and wonder why the director would choose to put in something so unrealistic. How weird! At least it makes for a good story!

SHELLEY - Your (cue echo effect) The Warm Outfit sounds toasty. I would be wearing it every day.

>I would stop traffic. And not in a good way

LOL.

I'm sorry to hear about your mother's passing. And for cancer to be around in your family like that. You must be really in tune as to what to be on the lookout for, and what things to try to avoid and whatnot. How is your sister doing?

ROBIN - Oh, I know how it is to be computerless. It's unbearable. I'd be at a loss for what to do with myself....I'm sorry to hear about how your father passed. It's so hard having to watch someone go through horrible illnesses (which I can only assume is nothing compared to actually going through it yourself).

>LOL about getting naked and being poked. Works for my DH.

LOL!

Urgh, that foggy drive sounded awful. How scary. I'm glad things cleared up after that.

MICHELE - I agree with Shelley. It really does depend on who is poking me and with what, and I guess what my general mood is.

I'm so sorry to hear that you weren't able to sleep. I take full responsibility. It must have been all my napping. I don't know why I've been so sleepy lately. I think it's the cold weather. No wait, did I have twins? No, no, I was right the first time, it's the cold weather.

>One of the reasons I quit going to the liberry is that whole dropping the books off thing.

LMAO.

So I see you got jealous of Heather and went to buy a ton of stuff, too. Woo hoo for new workout clothing! Does it inspire you to workout more?

And LOL, I see you're copying me AGAIN, saying that you're surprised that Arista is only eating two proteins!

By the way, I love your little arrow guy near your name.

BECKY -

>See? I'm horrible at this.

LMAO! Here, I'll make it easy for you and give you The Rules of Hate Posting.

1. Post anything. We're desperate for news.

BRIEE - Hi, again, Briee, hi!

DANA - Oh man, lobster get-together in Maine! That would be so great!...Oh, love the S&H series. Do you feel DOMS yet?....Your lucky co-workers. Tell us how Jen's Tomatoes come out!

I think you should get the dog. Think of it - you could take the dog out for cardio walks. And you could bring him to Maine when we all have our get-together. He can stay in my cottage.

Yup, I've got one brother and we're really close. And he lives in Tokyo, too.

The couch is sold as a set (I don't think they make them anymore, I'm not sure) and it's really long. I guess it's made for a gigantic room, which we don't have, so the couch is zipped up into a slightly long couch plus a seperate fairly big sofa chair. We totally lucked out because the President of the place we work bought the thing thinking to put it in a particular place but when he got it, it didn't fit! (Apparently the man has never bought a measure.) DUH! So then he had this mongo couch and no place to put it and asked if we'd help him out by using it. At first my partner and I were bummed we had to put it in our workspace, but man, once I got horizontal on it, it was OURS.

>Ya know, when you aren’t following any particular eating plan and eat what ever you want and then decide to start a structured eating plan, you seem like you are starving. I think it is probably a mind thing. I do the same thing too. Or you could be like me, and were just eating too much. LOL

LMAO!!

HEATHER - Milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, fish, shellfish, soy, wheat, barley, oats, corn, and rice?! What on earth do you eat for three weeks? Actually, I'm really interested to read more about the info in the link you sent. I'll bet the info is in there. Did you do the test in order to find the things to which you are allergic? Although it's a bummer what you can't seem to eat, it must be such a relief to know what to avoid. What besides eggs and dairy do you eat for proteins, may I ask?

I never had any trouble with anything until a few years ago when all of a sudden I was bloating all over the place. That's when I started researching and exercising...and ultimately cut cow milk out from my diet. I would love to know if there are other foods that I'm allergic to or don't really agree with me. Although it would be very difficult for me to avoid the things you listed for three weeks since I'm often out of town for work on the weekends and being fed by sponsors. http://bestsmileys.com/eating2/6.gif

So the road trip is in August? And you're going? Who else is going? I want to go! But since I can't, I want lots of stories. And photos.

What's up with that Aunt Flo of yours? How inconsiderate of her.

DIANE - Wow, that's a nice client! Now you can goof off at work and watch music videos when you should be working on something.

JEN - Glad to hear you've come up with a strategy to balance your weekday and weekend foods. I hope that will do the trick.

CORRIE - I know, I LOVE using those smilies! I'm so glad you figured out how to use them, too!

http://bestsmileys.com/happy/1.gif

All right. Have a nice day everybody!

I can't sleep again -- ARRRGGGGHHHH

Hi August, you smilie crazed poster, you. I'm trying to figure out why your smilies have a little box thingie next to them http://bestsmileys.com/clueless/4.gif . Mine don't do that, do they? Do you see the little boxes to the left of your smilies? How do you copy them?

I know what you're doing!! You're pasting in the IMG tags, too. Here's what I do -- I right click on the actual smilie which opens a box, and then I copy the location from there which doesn't include the img tags on the ends. My locations start with http and end with gif. Does that make sense?

Did your brother buy a Cardio Coach workout? Which one did he get? Oh boy, they're all good!!

I cannot believe your partner woke you up like that -- what was he thinking:eek: :p

Alrighty, I'm going to hit the hay. I'm pooped. G'night, August and all http://bestsmileys.com/sleeping/1.gif

Hi! Nonsleepyhead!

No, I don't see the boxes by my smilies! Where are there boxes near my smilies?!

I've been copy pasting the "number" at the left of the sample smily on the site you gave...

I don't see boxes near any smilies, yours, mine, or anybody's! Weird!

Hmm. I'm going to go try out what you're talking about now.

Oh, and my brother is still looking, I think...........

Okay, I took out the IMG from my first post.....are the boxes gone?

ETA : I guess I missed you, Michele! Have a great deeeeeeep sleeeeeep!!

Yeah, yeah, that's right -- the box thingie is gone. I'll bet the difference is between Mac and Windows. I never copy the address to the left, I do it the other way -- or you can copy the address to the left and just delete the IMG doohickeys on the ends.

Tell your brother that everyone like #4, #6 with Sean (there's 2 of #6), and the Choose Living Press Play. http://bestsmileys.com/bouncing/4.gif

Now I'm going beddy bye:* :* :*

I'm happy to report that all boxes are gone:)

Thanks for the box help! I had no idea they were even there! I was MacBlind.

Have a good sleep, and thanks, I'll pass the CC info to my brother, thanks very much!

Night night!

Oh, just one more thing real quick. I made a discovery that I wanted to pass along. My Eat to Live Cookie Diet didn't work out so I'm back on meat and vegetables...and fruit...I almost forgot the fruit:eek:

>>Thanks for the box help! I had no idea they were even there! I was MacBlind.

ROTFLMAO!!

I'm so sorry to hear that the ETLC diet didn't work out. That's a disappointment to many, if not all of us. :)

Have great dreams and see you in the morning! :*

Morning ladies!

August - sorry to hear your nap got interrupted. That's just wrong! I try hard to be in tune with my body, but of course, every time I feel anything I automatically assume the worst. And yes, my *cue echo effect* The Warm Outfit is very toasty and comfy. I'm hoping I won't need it much longer.

Michele - sorry the cookie thing didn't work out for ya. The giving up sweets for Lent thing seems to be working quite well for me. I'm actually dreading Lent to be over because then I'll have permission to eat sweets again and that could be baaaaaaaaaaaaaad.

Diane - I, too, think you should try to squeeze in a little time away with your DH before the baby comes. You won't regret it!

Arista - I did my wedding on a budget of about $2000 and it was lovely, if I do say so myself. It was outdoors, with a string quartet, afternoon ceremony, lovely hors d'oeuvres ... very elegant. I'm so glad I didn't spend oodles of money on it, especially since it didn't last:p NOT THAT I'M SAYING YOURS WON'T. Oh man, that wasn't very tactful. *note to self - do not give advice when PMSing*

Sophie got her glasses last night. She looks adorable. At least I think so. I'll try to post a pic later:)

Here is today's plan. Work. Errands. Home. BM#2. Dinner. Try to catch up with personals on hater thread. I get too confused if I try to keep up here throughout the day, so I'll see you all this evening.

Hey Chicklets-

I hope I'm posting in the right thread cuz I opened 2 windows and I'm really confused with how this works so will see LOL

Corrie-I know this is late but I appreciate your sharing about your mom also-my dad died of esophageal cancer at the age of 65 (luckily he had retired 10 years before that to play golf)-he had heartburn symptoms for the longest time-acid reflux -but by the time they discovered what the problem was the lump was pretty big)

Arista- my husband and I paid for our own wedding mostly (and our honeymoon so I wish you luck with all that planning-we went to Lake Tahoe-it was nice-but someone menioned going on a trip and getting married that way with family that sounds fun-but remember you plan what you want-oh you can let your husband have a little say-tee hee

August-your couch sounds so wonderful but for the life of me I cannot envision it- a long snakey thing that has an s shape...hhmmmm
I laughed out loud at the description of your kitty (I'm so sorry I'm to lazy to scroll and figure out what type of animal it was you called it)-it sounds soo cute-

Shelley- I'm sure your DD glasses will look so cute on her-thats the cool thing now a days-

Robin-glad to hear you are done with your painting-right?What project will you be doing next-you are my motivator!-

Diane-woo hoo on the ipod-how cool is that!-

Becky-thanks for the recipe-I copied it down-I'm sure my hubby and girls will like it-

Jen-glad your tummy is feeling better-did you get any good info from that website?-

Dana- so lets talk turkey-when should we plan this Maine trip?-Oh I wish I wasn't kidding-doesn't it sound like so much fun?-I really want to go-

Mariah-I enjoyed your date story-you were very nice to comfort him-next meet at the coffee shop, missy!-safer-(I'm pointing my finger at you-not that one-my index finger -LOL

Terri- how did the business thing go?-

michele-it so fun to get workout clothes-I have the workout joggy type bra and they are all about 10 yrs old-and the elastic in them is breaking down-oh I'm making myself sick here-ha, ha- I need some new clothes too- waaahhhh-

MSY-I remember when my middle daughter was a baby and the only way to get her to sleep was to rock her-for the most part I was fine with it but you know sometimes your thinking of all the thing you have to do but looking back I'm so glad she was like that-they grow up sooo fast-cliche I know, but true--

Heather-are you going on the road trip?-I wanted to go but I can't even make it to the comp. for the sign up on Friday and then theres the little problem of how to pay for it-

Kara, Kara, Janjan......

Briee-did I mention I love your name!! when I heard that name before I had kids I said thats my first born daughter's name-yep and it was-

I was at the video store the other day and I asked about the movie Babel and it was so funny-the girl behind the counter said she had heard Babel was babble-ha-

August-I'm getting in the mood to work out soon-I think even today- I'm still hanging at the mid weight (I lost half my goal weight)- and I have to do something to shake the last 5 off-so I think today I'm doing Leaner Legs and GS Chest & triceps-yep-it's been almost a month since I've worked out but I want to get a few workouts in before a bone density test I have next week-build those babies up-

My 10 yr daughter was in a play last week and she rocked it-the principal and the music teacher even commented on it-all the kids did good but she was phenomenal (not my words- I'm just quoting)-she was in tune and on the right notes all the way through-I even had an old teacher of hers stop me at the store a couple of days later to comment on how well she did-it's nice cuz she needs the confidence booster-
and my oldest daughter is in a play this weekend-Kiss me Kate-that will be fun, and my middle daughter has a choral festival-man they got talent but if you heard me sing-ha-I'm a wannabe--

I feel the same way about this thread that Corrie does too-very safe-but I've never had a bad experience yet-I'm kind of niave-does it happen?-bbl--deb

Morning Haters!

Okay, I think I am getting back on track here. I went a little nutso last week and wasn't getting to exercise like I usually do. Yesterday I got back on track with BM2 step and MM. I've already done a CF premix this AM, so hopefully that daylight savings crap won't be holding me back anymore!

The twins continue to be very clingy, but I've decided it is just a phase and DH and I are trying to gently coax (ie sucker them into) playing on their own. DISGUSTING ALERT! Read at your own risk! One of them pooped in the bathtub last night! Unfortunately, this is not the first time this has happened. We treat it like a shark sighting. One of us starts yelling "Level 1 Alert! Everyone out of the water!" Then we each grab one as fast as we can, and pull them out squirming and kicking. Of course, it my DH's manly duty to clean the poop out of the tub:).

August - I swear, I would never get anything done if I had access to a couch and naps at work. No way.

Diane - Listen to the voice of experience. Start planning that babymoon immediately! Also, congrats on the ipod. That's awesome.

Jen - I hope your food experiment works, but otherwise... Well, you know what I'm going to say.

Mariah - I'm sorry that you have had bad experiences with doctors. Sometimes you have to search for one you "click" with. I'm also sorry that you had such a bad blind date! If that doesn't make you swear off dating, you're a better woman than I.

Arista - Congratulations! Planning a wedding can be so much fun! (But also very stressfull) We only had our immediate family at our wedding. We post-poned our honeymoon for a year after the wedding and saved during that time for it. Sorry, no advice on the money thing.

Michele - Okay, I'm back on track. What have you been up to? Still getting yourself back into step work?

Shelley - I saw Sophie's glasses on the <--- thread. I think they look fantastic! Did she pick them out herself?

Alright, I think I smell a little funny, so off to the showers! I will try to finish up other personals throughout the day. Hope everyone has a good one:7 .

Still Hate PMS!!!

My little toe is in excruciating pain, my feet hurt, my calves are sore, my knees hurt, my back aches, my pants and bra are too tight, my whole body is bloated, the sight and smell of food is nauseating and totally repulsive, I have the overwhelming urge to spit chocolate-covered nails at someone, and my cycle still has not started. :-( Do I have to go to work today? ;-)

On a positive note, it is the first day of spring! :7

August and Michele, I am a cardio lover and carb lover. :) I do not concern myself with protein! ;-) I love hemp protein in my smoothies. Other than that, peanut butter and pinto beans (not together!) are my favorite protein sources.

Shelley, you are not going on the Road Trip? Say it isn’t so! I am so sad. And Michele? I want to cry now! :-(

Blessings,
Heather B.

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us” (Hebrews 12:1 NIV).

Goo...er...fair morning!

UGH! Another sleepless night. That's 2 in a row. I know I'll sleep tonight because I'm too tired NOT to. I have to make sure I don't nap today and that I keep moving. I never did a workout yesterday because I was too tired and I just couldn't make myself do it. I feel the same way today but I think I'll try that yoga DVD I bought awhile back instead of a heart pumping, muscle building sweat fest.

>>so the face I made ended up wrapping around his head, making it look giant and swollen. But he seemed fairly pleased with it anyway.

ROTFLMAO! I don't know how I missed this little gem last night but I sure did! It's been awhile since you've mentioned Oogi and Village life. Please keep us updated because I need my Oogi fix in the morning.

Shelley, Miss Sophie looks tres chic in her new glasses! She really knows how to work it, doesn't she? I see a model in the making:+

Would you like me to suspend your cookie permission at the conclusion of Lent? :p You just send your cookies to me, I'll take care of them for you.

Robin, so, you're at work..so all you have left to your day is Errands. Home. BM#2. Dinner. Try to catch up with personals on hater thread. -- 1/6 of your day is over -- lol!

Deb, yes, you're posting in the right thread. I get confused about that, too, sometimes, but that's because I'm old.

Brie is a lovely name. I'll bet your DD was adorable in the play! I love to watch little kids put on a show -- so cute!

>>I feel the same way about this thread that Corrie does too-very safe-but I've never had a bad experience yet-I'm kind of niave-does it happen?

This thread IS safe! I'm the Mayor here and and I say bad experiences are strictly off limits in Hateville. Those are reserved for the OD forum -- ROTFLOL!

MSY! We missed you yesterday:* . I'm glad you're back on track and no, I haven't gotten back into step work the way I should but I will, I promise. I know, y'all have heard it all before, but I promise this time, really, I swear it:D

I'm ROTFLMAO at your DISGUSTING alert. That's hysterical! Good job -- you've trained your DH well -- lol.

Heather, don't cry -- Robin will be on the mmmm mmmm (we're not allowed to say the actual words "road trip", OK, so from now on it's the mmmm mmmm, and I only just said those words now to explain the meaning of mmmm mmmm and I won't say them again).

Everything you said makes sense but...what's up with your baby toe!? I did not know PMS affected the toes -- lol! *GASP* Please tell me it's not the new shoes! It can't be the new shoes!

I'm with Shelley -- I WISH food were repulsive to me AND that I loved cardio. That's my whole problem -- LOVE food -- HATE cardio -- NOT a good combination:eek: ;(

Arista, your wedding plans sound PERFECT! Don't stress over your honeymoon. Do what you can afford for now and then save for a dream trip on an anniversary. That's what we did. We went to Germany on our 5th or 6th anniversary and had a blast. We really enjoyed that B&B on our honeymoon, even though it was practically in our backyard. And yes, there are beach vacations that are both nice AND economical. You'll find something;)

Hello to everyone else and I'll BBL:* :*

Just popping in to say thanks for all the good advice on the wedding gals. We've got a date now! August 25th. 1 week after my birthday.

I think we will be able to pull off a honeymoon as long as we start planning now. This is going to be fun!

I don't have time for personals right this minute cause I need to work out before I go pick up my boss from the airport. BUT, I'll BBL!!

Sorry you didn't get any sleep Michele! That's terrible. I can never sleep when Ryan isn't home either. I'll be thinking positive ZZZZZ's thoughts for you all day! Hang in there.

Those glasses are so cute! I love them. Thumbs up! She's really cute too!

Ok, talk to ya'll later. :* :*

PS - I'm supposed to be PSMing but I feel great! Maybe its the calm before the storm. LOL Or maybe its the fact that I had chocolate ice cream last night. I'm so bad. But I skipped another thing on my meal plan just so I could have it.. so I don't feel bad. So there!

Another one pms'ing here! Oh ugh! I was feeling like that for a few days but then thought I was just having sympathy PMS for all of you in here who are struggling with it now.....but last night's dinner CONFIRMED IT !!

Dinner was : grilled pork chops, baked potatoes, salad and homemade bread.
I ate : a baked potato, a small salad, my hubby's potato skin, (he left it just SITTING there !! I didn't want it to be WASTED for Pete's sake!!! ), 2 or 3 (lost track) pieces of bread.
I WANTED cake too, but fought that battle and won! Still I was CARBED OUT!!!!

Oh GOOD! My DS just called & asked if I want to walk !! YES!!!! That will get me out of the kitchen and away from the food !!
Yesterday I sat right here at the computer eating Cappuccino Fudge Ripple ice cream straight from the carton !!!
I'm pms'ing or I'm PREGNANT!!!! ACKKKKK!!! KNOCK ON WOOD, KNOCK ON WOOD !!!!!
Erase that !!!! ack!!!!

And this afternoon I am babysitting my DGS. Check out his pictures on my picturetrail if you'd like.

I did, at least workout today. I did the step from SJP and SS upperbody.

BBL!!!:7

Hi everyone!

Arista - Aug 25th, what a nice time for a wedding. My parents said that they would spend $5000 for my wedding (which isn't much these days) and that budget worked fine. (that included my dress and accessories, invitations, dj, hall rental, alcohol, food, limo, and all the other odds n ends). We didn't go on a honeymoon b/c Gabe was only 6 months old. We did stay at a B&B which was nice, but I wasn't keen on eating breakfast at a table with a bunch of strangers. LOL Have fun planning your special day!

Michele - I haven't been sleeping well either. Gannon is up like 4 or more times a night, just fussing and by the time I fall back to sleep, it is time to get up. I hope that you can force yourself to stay up through the day and get in a good sleep tonight. I really thought that the cookie diet was a good thing, as a matter of fact, I was going to start it after Easter but you're telling us it is a no go? Drat!

Robin - I'll let you know about walking. Maybe the 2nd week of April the snow will be melted at the Preserve?? It tends to linger over there. Are you working on April 8th? I have the day off and Gabe has school and I"m sending Gannon to daycare. I'm free on Monday and Tuesday evenings.

August - I didn't know your brother lived in Tokoyo. Must be the happening spot. Didn't start S&H yet, will on Monday. I made a rotation myself so we'll see if I stick with it. The nerve of your partner for waking you up! Just b/c you were on the snake couch and he wasn't, he should've laid down on the floor to nap. Your apartment characters (ched, choc raisin or even cockroach) could have entertained him while you slept. Very insensitive. Ha!

Diane - what a great gift from your clients. A weekend trip sounds great. Make sure you and DH get some time alone b/c once the bean gets here, you're in a totally different league.

MSY - too funny about the bath story. Fingers x's, I haven't encountered that with Gannon.

Mariah - what an odd blind date you had. How awkward. Hope he didn't call you again. LOL My friend had lasik surgery and she is happy with the results. I'm too chicken to have it down. Wonder what it is with the FL weather that makes your eyes resist the contacts?

Shelley - your DD looks so grown up. What a cutie pie!

Jen - the tomatoes were a hit. Everyone that tried them really liked them. Thanks for the recipe.

Corrie - sorry you missed House. I've only watched that show about 2x.

Heather - hi! I can't believe you are still pms'ing. What a relief it will be when "your frien" finally arrives.

Deb - hmmm, how bout the end of July. I wish too we were planning a real get-to-gether. That'd be fun!

Last night was B&G time saver premix. I cannot for the love of God do that move where you are on the ball and you roll your hips to the other side. I gave up.

Tonight it is either a 4 mile walk or PowerStrike III at 8:30 which is a bit late for me to workout.

The luncheon was good and I didn't eat too badly. I had 2 meatballs (no bun), very small scoop of mac & cheese, some fresh veggies, fruit with dip and one of the bacon tomatoes.

Hi Becky, Kate, Jana and anyone I forgot. ((sorry))

I've got work to do (and I gotta pee) so I will chat with you lovlies later.
