August

Cathlete
Morning!

Let's see here, what warm pajamas can I wear out to work today without anybody noticing that they are actually pajamas...I gotta do something toasty and cozy for my date with the Snake Sofa! http://www.smileyhut.com/misc_expressions/drool1.gif

I must say that since I posted about chewing that I have really been chewing my food well. I'm practically on a liquid diet the way I've been masticating! LMAO.

Okay. Here is a link to a very funny short video. I hope you get a good laugh out of it and that it won't get you ruffled. The girl playing the Landlord is obviously on her way to getting an Oscar :*, and the "acting coach" should be getting some good hard cash for all the work that must have gone into it!

I finished some Pilates and now I'm off!

Here's hoping to a nice day with no Aunt Flo woes or green gunk.

SHELLEY - Aunt Flo left already? It's kind of funny, because although she left me for a day yesterday, today I see she has returned.

ROBIN - You really have the kick box fever! Are classes nearby?

JEN -

>Is it warming up yet? It was 73 here today!

http://www.smileyhut.com/misc_expressions/34.gif Nope, you lucky girl. I'm layered out.

LOL at your Pizza Rotation.

Later everybody! :D :D :D

Morning Ms PJ. That Aunt Flo. She's just a big old pain in the patooty. Dana taunted me with the offer of a couple free kickboxing classes with a friend of hers. Now she's renigging on the offer. (By the way, I have absolutely no idea how to spell renig). It's so silly. She and I live practicaly in spitting distance, and we haven't gotten together yet.

I have to run. Time to leave for work and I've forgotten to brush my teeth.

Later haters.

Morning Augustus Caesar and all who follow;)

No, Aunt Flo didn't leave already. Aunt Flo comes, so PMS leaves. They don't get along. But Aunt Flo brought cramps and headaches yesterday. And she likes to hang around. She usually way overstays her welcome. I truly wish I could wear something pj-like to work, but the only sofa is in my boss's office and he naps on it, so I'd have to lie in his dried up drool, which isn't at ALL appealing.

Morning hater gators.

August - that clip is twisted. I'm at work so I really couldn't turn it up too loud, just read the captions. Ha!!! Have you ever watched Mind of Mencia on Comedy Central (with Carolos Mencia)? I love him - he is not for the faint of heart and you've got to have a twisted sense of humor to enjoy him. He always says, dee-dee-dee (when someone has a not so smart moment). You have to hear him say it. And last night when I was watching it, he was saying about how the 2-3 year old kids should not be watching his show but yet he is getting e-mails sent to him w/these kids saying dee-dee-dee. Now I haven't sent Carlos an e-mail but I was laughing out loud at him b/c I'm guilty of having Gannon say it. Yes, Robin and I live about 20-30 minutes from each other. My DH's good friend lives (I think) on the same street as Robin. We keep saying we're going to get together but haven't yet. I'm actually a man and don't want her to know that. J/K of course!!! Yesterday I was irratable and today I'm just looney. So what pj outfit did you decide on today? You’re not wearing lingerie are you? I almost typed linguine. Ha! Then I would have to ask you if you were wearing your pasta today. When my DH was living w/his mom they had a unit they rented out. It was attached to their house. The lady (if you want to call her a lady) that rented from them was a real gem. She was one of those white trash, missing teeth kinda people. So, one night we’re watching tv and oh the sight I saw. I had to look twice. I said to Mark, check her out. . . there she was, walking back and forth in front of the living room window in a black and red lace teddy. OMG I nearly died. I’m sure I wasn’t the only one that saw this side show freak. When she saw that I was the one laughing at her and that Mark was not checking her out, she went inside.

Jen - today no pizza for me!!! I'm having a LC chicken thing. Hopefully it'll be good.

Robin - I thought I would be in better shape by now and ready for some serious kickboxing classes. I'll report to you when I'm up for it. DH's friend that teaches the class is in his 50's. He said that he is in better shape than the 20 somethings that attends his classes. Anyway, did you brush your teeth today???

Michele - how are you feeling today? When are you leaving for Italy??? Before your b-day or after???

Shelley – cramps suck!!! I hope you feel better soon and Aunt Flo leaves soon. I’m sure she has other relatives to visit. So when you visit Robin, are you driving or flying? Have you ever seen an Amish buggy? Hey, I thought Robin did spell that write!!!! (ha!!! right)

I sure am tired this morning. Didn’t sleep good. I need more coffee. I hope someone made coffee this morning. I will say that after giving up Diet Pepsi for Lent, I have only had like 4 sodas. I was drinking 4+ a day and not I’m not even drinking 4 a week. Just wish I could be like that with the chocolate/candy. That is my weakness.

I did not workout again, and I ate too much candy last night L. I don't feel 100% just yet, this chest thing is weird.. Maybe I"ll take a walk at lunch today.

OK, I better get to work. I”ve been her 40 minutes and haven’t done a thing.

Good morning!

Holy crap holy crap holy crap!!!

I have an appointment with my eye doctor in 30 minutes and I TOTALLY forgot about it.

I'm feeling some better but I still have a head full of snot;(

You girls are such a hoot:7

I'll BB this afternoon:*

I'm hating missing Michele too. HURRY BACK MICHELE!

Dana - Sophie and I are driving. Well, I'm driving. Sophie is being a passenger. I loved your white trash-lingerie story. That's just kind of vile. We don't have Amish here, because, of course, they're from your area, but we have Mennonites, which are the same thing. So, yes, I've seen the buggies, but Sophie hasn't. She'll probably be thrilled.:)

There are all kinds of Amish and Mennonite sects. You can tell which part of the state some Amish are from by the types of buggies they drive. In different parts of the state, I've seen black bumper Mennonite, bicycle Mennonite, Amish in black buggies, Amish in yellow buggies. Miata Mennonites. No, just kidding about the Miatas. Here in north central PA, we have buggy driving Amish in the backyard. Literally. I buy most of my fresh produce from them. Turk loves the whoopie pies one of the ladies makes.

Morning Ladies:

Is this a Forum for those of us who need to work out but hate it? May I join in the group?

Tina

I'm back home and I'm so beat, but I had to come by to say hi to you sillies.

I'm going to have to go to bed right now, but I just quickly wanted to welcome TINA!!

:) :) :)

Oh, please do join us!

We're going to have to do something about the number count of posts you have, young lady! }(

Oh man, I'm mush. More tomorrow!

Night! (Tina, I live in Japan, so it's night for me!)

Hi Tina. This is a daily check-in started by the mayor of Hateburg (or was it ville), Michele, who hates cardio and wanted a way to make her workouts accountable. Some of the folks here hate cardio, like her, but many of us just love the fun and fellowship. Personally, I followed Michele here, but I love cardio. All are welcome. We post whatever is going on in our lives that we want to share. Oh, yeah, and whatever workout we are doing that day.

Shelley, whoopie pies are evil. Some people know them as gobs. They are gigantic soft chocolate cookies sandwiched with white fluffy frosting made mostly of whipped shortening. I've seen variations with PB frosting, or with spice flavored cookies, but those just aren't right. They are probably about a gazillion calories a piece, and DH used to buy a dozen every week from the Amish lady near us. Hmmmm, maybe I'll make some for your visit}( . Of course, I'll get in trouble with DH, since I never make them for him.

Hey Tiana. Please join us (even if you like cardio).

Robin my DH loves whoopie pies and I never make them. Once I tried with a recipe that I got from Taste of Home and they weren't very good. We buy most of our produce from the Amish too. I will confess that I won't eat food that the Amish makes. I guess that goes with my weirdness about food. Don't ask.

I went to the dr at lunchtime and apparantly, I bruised the cartlidge between the bones in my chest. Sternum? Is that it? I'm to take ibuprofen and ice it. At least I'm not having a heart attack.

Thanks Ladies for welcoming me. I like, not love cardio but have a hard time doing it. I did start up Turbo Jam and that is a fun workout. I just ordered Dancing with the Stars workout because some people here love it. I should get it this week.

Anyway, I am a mother of three boys, 25, 14 and 11 and have been married for 15 years. The oldest is from a previous marriage and is out of the house already and the 14 year old is a Freshman and the 11 year old is in 6th grade. He plays little league so we are constanting at practice or games. But I love it......takes me away from Cardio.

I work at City Hall as the Executive Assistant to the City Manager and City Council so I am able to check emails all day. We work a 4-10 work week and I love it. 10 hour days but every Friday off. I have been a Polynesian dancer since I was 10 years old. The website of the group I belong to is www.westwindproductions.com. I am Tiana in the shots.

Well I guess that is my story, not too exciting but fun!

Tina

Hi Tina!!! Welcome! You're beautiful. Thanks for sharing your info with us. I LOVE cardio, but I post here anyway, because I hate lots of other things, especially when I have PMS;)

However, I don't think I would hate whoopie pies. I'm drooling just reading about them!

Oy, I'm going to be in so much trouble when I start making whoopie pies. Maybe I'll whip up a batch of soft sugar cookies, my DH's absolute favorite, this weekend, to soften him up. I don't think he liked it when I told him to be on his best behavior when Shelley and Sophie were here. I guess that implied his behavior is usually not his best.

Tina, cool hobby. I bet dancing is a workout.
