August

Cathlete
Wha......Uh oh.

It's.....it's cold. This morning. It's cold.

My...my (finds echo effect button missing) The Warm Outfit is...packed up.

http://www.smileyhut.com/shaped/scared.gif

Fear not, August! Fear not!! http://www.smileyhut.com/medieval/2handed_rune.gif This simply calls for some heavy duty layering! Plus, I'm going to bullet walk a half hour to my meeting (like I did yesterday), so that should warm things up some.

Yes. Yes. I'll warm up by doing that.

ROBIN - I've read lots of good things about Dr. Oz. Do you like his book?

Yeah, dessert is rarely an issue as to whether one's hungry or not. http://www.smileyhut.com/eat_drink/lolipop.gif

How fun that you'll meet up with Shelley again, and this time meet her DD. How cool!

Well, if you're going to be blue and eat junk, it may as well be on a day when Aunt Flo makes a surprise return! She loves eating junk and then making you feel cruddy about it. But I hope she'll mind her own business and leave you alone.

Have things patched up with DD?

SHELLEY - I usually only use whey protein for my smoothies, so this is the first time I'm trying an actual meal replacement. I totally can't believe how full they make me. I got them because I'll be out of town a bunch soon, and I wanted to have something in my bag in case of emergencies, but I couldn't wait to try one out, so I tried two. http://www.smileyhut.com/eat_drink/yummy.gif Right now I quite like the taste of them, but then I'm using my blender, and when I'm out of town, I won't be. Course, I used to like my protein bars, but now they've become oddly vile to me.

JEN - Lemme see.........I'm trying out Myolex Lite, and the two flavors I've tried so far are from the Chocolate Lovers mix : Chocolate Truffle, and Chocolate Mint (the other two flavors are Chocolate Peanut Butter, and Dark Chocolate).

The general breakdown:

Cal 180 cal
Fat 2 gr
Carb 18 gr
Pro 25 gr
Fiber 4 gr

Last night I literally could not eat dinner, I was so full. But obviously, that's not a good thing. I'm hoping it was just by chance - or a combination of the shake and something I ate earlier that made me so full, because obviously, if the shakes make me so full that I don't have room to eat actual food, that's not going to be the best thing in the world, eh?

http://www.smileyhut.com/confused/uhm.gif

TAMMY - Wow, adding soymilk and banana to the Myoplex shakes must tide you over until the afternoon! Do you always blend it in the blender, or have you shaken it before? Is there a big difference in the consistency?

>Jen: These double workouts have got to stop...you're making the rest of us look bad

LMAO!

All right, I'm off!

I'm sending extra warmth Michele's (and Nancy's) way....and tons of hugs to the rest of you, wherever you may be hiding. }(

Have a nice day! :D

Hi Hi Hi!!

I'm sneaking in here in the wee hours because I probably won't be around much later today. Remember that craptastically bad dental visit and the ill fitting temporary crown? It...it BROKEx( ;( . The %$^*)(^$&*() crown brokex( . I need to call my dentist first thing in the morning.

August, I'm so sorry you have to dig out the warm clothes. That echo effect alone would be enough to drive me over the edge -- LMAO! The bullet walk should warm you up, though. It's been really cold here, too, and I've had my furnace on for days.

Hmmmm...Myoplex shakes? I may have to try one. I've never been a shake or bar kind of a girl -- I usually just like to have a snack of real food, but I feel like trying something different.

August and all -- thanks again for all your kind words and prayers. I told Nancy that I had a legion of friends praying for her and she was genuinely touched by your kindness. We managed a few laughs over the weekend. Her oncologist warned her that it's not unusual for breast cancer patients to experience combativeness -- an apparent side effect of the chemo. We decided that her husband would never notice because she is normally pretty combative -- LMAO! My DH definitely wouldn't notice:eek:

Shelley, thanks for the details about your sister's cancer. She is really an inspiration and Nancy felt encouraged by her story.

I hope Miss Sophie is feeling better by now. It must be going around. I've been pretty sick myself this weekend with a cough and sore throat.

{{{{{Robin}}}}}. I read your post in the <--- thread and NO, you did NOT overreact. My mom would've slapped me silly if I had done something like that. Seriously -- she would've (Italians can be so violent, unlike you classy Armenians  :p :7 ). You deserve to be treated with the utmost respect -- your DD owes you that much.

Oh yeah, and call your doctor about Aunt Flo! I think it's best you have that checked out, especially since it's been about a year since your last period. I did a little research when I started spotting and post menopausal bleeding isn't normal unless you've been taking HRT. Please just humor me and call. You've been under so much stress lately and I'm worried about you ;) :*

I'm sorry to hear that Jay will be deployed to Afghanistan. that must be hard for all involved. I'll keep him in my prayers.

Jen -- I agree with Tammy -- your double workouts are killing me!:p

Tammy, you must be a day ahead of me on the rotation. I have GS BSB today. I love that workout, too. I'm really liking this rotation so far and it's pretty amazing that I've kept with it this long:eek: ;)

Corrie, we've missed you! don't be such a stranger. I really appreciated your kind words. I know that you and Shelley speak from the kind of experience that no one wants to have.

Oh my, I need to get to bed now. I'll BBL to finish personals for anyone I may have missed. G'night :* :*

Good Morning All~

The weather here is truly HORRID. Snow, ice , rain and flooding.....YIKES! Today I'll be doing my most favorite workout...IM#2!

August: Oh yes, those Myoplex shakes fill me up a good long time. I always use my blender, which these days is a hoot. The blender has a crack in it, so I try to get the shake blended before it ends up all over the kitchen counter:eek:

Michele: OUCH!!!! I surely hope things turn around quickly for you. Congrats on keeping up with the rotation!

Robin: I hope today is a much better day for you.

Morning chiquitas~

Well, Sophie is still sick, so I'm at home and feeling horribly guilty and like they're going to fire me when I get back tomorrow for taking a day off to be with my sick kid.

August - oh NO! It's cold and you put The Warm Outfit away? How tragic! It's bloody freezing here and I'm completely and utterly sick of it. What's a bullet walk? Is that where you walk down the street dodging bullets? 'Cause that would sure get your heart rate up!

Miss Lee - I'm awfully sorry that you're feeling crappy and that your temp. crown BROKE. I'm glad, though, that Nancy was able to have a laugh with you yesterday and that my sister's story helped brighten her day a bit.

Tammy - you can keep that weather there.... please? I think we're supposed to get tons of rain today. Yippee. I'm thrilled.

Today I'm going to try to do a 3 mile run and PUB, since Sophie is home and confined to bed or the couch and I have some spare time. It'll make up for missing yesterday and eating like a pig. Jen, thanks for the advice to take the day off. I have a feeling that if it was you, you would have cut back and just done 3 workouts instead of the usual 5;)

Oh no, Michele, you are JOKING! Your temp crown BROKE?! Tell us what you were eating when it broke LOL.

http://www.smileyhut.com/eat_drink/pizza.gif

I'm so glad to hear that you were able to throw some good jokes about with Nancy. As cliché as it sounds, laughter really is the best medicine, and Nancy sure knew where to get the goods when she called you! :D

>it's not unusual for breast cancer patients to experience combativeness -- an apparent side effect of the chemo.

That is wild! I'd never heard that before.

>We decided that her husband would never notice because she is normally pretty combative -- LMAO!

LMAO!!

TAMMY - That is totally funny about your blender and its crack! How on earth does stuff not immediately dribble out?!

I figured out my old blender had a crack in it (about a year ago) when I put soy milk in it and went to get the other ingredients and came back to the blender. On looking into the empty blender, I thought to myself, "weird, I thought I already put soy milk in here." and proceded to pour more in, only to watch it vanish before my very eyes. Of course, it was vanishing onto the table top and subsequently into the carpet. Doh!

I'm back early from work because I've been asked to do an emergency project for someone....on top of my already peaking mound (ew, that sounds sketchy - mind out of the gutters now! :* ).......which means I'll either be here a ton trying to escape my torture, or else I won't be around at all, immersing myself in my torture. :+

ETA

Hi, Shelley! We were posting at the same time. :)

What a nice mommy you are to take the day off to be with your DD!

It is absolutely freezing here today. I was so layered I was walking around like Frankenstein's freezing cold monster.

August - Peaking mound sounds like some euphemism from a Harlequin Romance novel:p

Emergency project - what does that mean in the world of songwriting? Someone needs a jingle for a mouthwash ad RIGHT NOW?:)
(Sorry, I hope that didn't sound like I'm trivializing what you do!)

I WAS eating a slice of pizza when the crown broke!!! LMAO that August used a pizza eating smilie dude!!!

I'm poised by the phone waiting for the clock to strike 8. http://bestsmileys.com/anxious/1.gif

Shelley, I'm so sorry about poor Sophie. I hope she turns the corner today and is feeling better in a jiffy. Don't worry about your job -- you can't help it if Sophie is home sick. You can't leave her home alone, for crying out loud, and I'm sure they realize that.:*

I think it's Deb's birthday today!! Isn't it!? I'm sure it is!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DEB!!! I hope all your birthday wishes come true:*

http://bestsmileys.com/birthday1/18.gif

Have a great day and I'll see y'all later:* :*

Hey, I wasn't on the computer at all this weekend and it looks like you all were chatty. Gotta make this quick but I'll try to be back later.

Robin - sorry that you and your DD had a fight. :(

Shelley - to answer your question, I am 5ft 6 and 3/4 or 5ft 7! I hope your DD is feeling better soon.

August - "no to the 2nd hand salad" OMG too funny but I can't say that. If you think that the Myoplex shakes are good, you need to try the Myoplex lite bars. I probably sound like a broken record b/c I know I"ve told you it before. Just tell me to shut up!!!

Michele - damn that crown!!!! What the heck are they trying to do to you?????

Hey to EVERYONE else.

I had a boring weekend. I think I pulled something in my chest but then of course I was insisting I was having a heart attack. Really, I don't know what I did but the left side of my chest is killing me. And when I stretch the muscle, it hurts worse. Who knows what I did. No workouts for me this weekend and I did eat very crappy. But, I"m back on the healthy-eating-wagon today.

Have a great day all even though the weather stinks!!!

Oh good! Stuff to distract me! Yippee!

SHELLEY -

>Harlequin Romance novel

LMAO! Now there's something I have not heard in AGES! A blond man with long hair comes to mind.

>what does that mean in the world of songwriting? Someone needs a jingle for a mouthwash ad RIGHT NOW?
> (Sorry, I hope that didn't sound like I'm trivializing what you do!)

ROTFLMAO. Well, that's actually relatively the gist of it!

DANA - I totally remember you talking about the Myoplex bars. They must be awesome! The shakes are surprisingly yummy....but........I'm STILL oddly full.

Am I...Am I......? http://bestsmileys.com/signs1/22.gif --- I'm not sure. But I'm hungry yet NOT hungry. Full yet NOT full. Have the shakes taken me into a state of limbo? Is Aunt Flo having her way with me? What?

That sounds awful about your chest. But you're sure it's a muscle, right? If you are, yeah, definitely take it easy for a few days.

MICHELE - LMAO!! It WAS pizza! I need to go and get me a Lotto ticket or something! I actually put a popcorn icon first, and then CHANGED it to the pizza icon!

(Okay, that last sentence sounds like something a total dork would write http://www.smileyhut.com/glasses/nerd.gif .)

DEB - HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DEB!...????!!! Hey, it's like a deja vu of when your birthday was a month ago March 16th! LOL! This means that you are entitled to a deja vu one month later birthday cake from Michele! You should ask her to make you a Volcano Cake. I don't know what it is, but she always has one around her birthday, I think she said, and when she described it, it sounded REALLY yummy. And since Michele is wishing you another birthday (loving, silly nudge nudge to Michele here :* ), the least she could do is offer you a real cake!

(Now watch that it actually IS Deb's birthday and I've http://bestsmileys.com/foot_in_mouth/1.gif )

ETA : I'm back editing things I don't need to edit, simply because I'm trying to escape. :) Now, come on you guys. I'm going to need your participation if I hope to escape from work successfully. :+

Happy B-Day DEB!!!!!!!

I did all these letters on Friday, was getting ready to mail them when I got an e-mail that they changed the letter!!!! Talk about frustrating. I don't save every letter that I do - just the original letter and then I go in and edit the parent name, student name, etc. That is why I'm here b/c I'm frustrated and going on strike!!!!!

My head is killing me and I just want to go home. August, if you win big on your lotto ticket, will you give me enough just so I don't have to work? 2 million should suffice.

DANA - Oh brother on the letter! You'd think they'd just send emails these days so you could just edit stuff out in a second! Urgh!

2 million.....lira?

:)

Okay, before anyone goes posting on the OD wishing Deb a happy birthday, I believe her birthday was March 16th!

Hi haters.

Michele, have no fear. My annual physical is next week and will be sure to ask him what the heck is going on with Aunt Flo. Can a crying baby reawaken latent ovaries? Can stress regenerate the reproductive process? Stess, what stress. Hahahahahaha!!!!

Shelley, I wish I could spend the day with Sophie watching old movies. I almost called in sick today, but didn't think down-in-the-dumpitis would count. Besides, when Frank was stomping all over the bed, meowing and trying to chew on my lampshade, it woke me up. When I peered at the alarm clock, I realized I hadn't turned on the alarm and had overslept. I jumped up, grabbed a shower and a cup of coffee and found myself in the car on the way to work before I remembered I wanted to spend the day in bed with the covers over my head.

Happy Year and a month birthday to deb....

Tammy, thank goodness you have a job now, and can go get yourself a new blender.

Dana, I didn't get to workout all weekend either. Now I feel old and fat and afraid to get on the step.

August, see, never put your (echo, echo, echo) warm outfit until it's almost time to get it out again. Good luck with the STAT mouthwash project.

Today, if I manage to talk myself into it later on, I hope to do something cardio. Maybe a Step Fusion premix. Hope you all love something/hate something else today.

LMAO!! Is Deb's birthday in March!? OMG -- ROTFLMAO! ROTFLMAO! Oh well, she's special and she deserves 2 birthdays. Maybe if we make this thread about her birthday she'll come say hi to us. She hasn't been around in forever:-(

Oh yeah, I'm starting to think about my chocolate volcano cake. DH makes it for me every year...but he'll be in Germany on my Bday this year:-(. I KNOW! He can make me a volcano cake before he leaves...and another one when he gets home:)

Dana, I wonder if you have a chest infection. You could have something like pleurisy which hurts like the dickens!

You should have mailed the letters anyway and then just told them that it's too late to make changes because the letter went out.

I got an appointment with my dentist for 2:30 so I need to sign off and do my workout, shower, and run a few errands. My dentist is out of town and I need to allow 1 1/2 hours for travel and parking (the office is in a university complex and parking us a total freaking nightmare ;( x( ).

Buh byeeeeee:*

ETA hello Robin! We were posting at the same time. I'm glad you're going to the doctor and yes, I think stress can wreak havoc upon your girly parts:eek: . Be kind to yourself and beat your DD with a nerf bat, kay?:* It won't hurt her but it might make you feel better:7

ETA again that I haven't needed an alarm clock in years. My kitty alarm goes off faithfully at about 6 AM every single day :D

Hi, Michele! Hi!

Yeah, where's Deb, anyway?!

Your DH will be away over your birthday? Do you have some other plans?

>You should have mailed the letters anyway and then just told them that it's too late to make changes because the letter went out.

LMAO!

OMG, I have not thought about a Nerf bat in ages. LOL.

Have a good appointment!

August, just make sure you give Aunt Flo good directions to Shelley's house. I don't want her stopping by my house again. She was so nasty and she's not welcome here ever again:p

You may have noticed...I'm not getting anything done. I'm so tired. I only got about 3 hours of sleep last night because I was coughing all freaking night long;( . I just want to play for awhile:D
