Has anyone used Angie's list?

I need to find a cleaning service for my dad b/c his last one went out of business. These services are so hit or miss so I thought Angie's list might be a good idea, but before I spend the money I'd like to get some feedback.

BTW Ellie if you're out there, I've been trying to reach you b/c you live near my dad & I was hoping you could help!

Laura, I have used Angie List. I paid for a year service but have let it lapse. It has been about 3 maybe 4 years now.

I haven't needed to use them again. At the time I think I was checking out Electricians.
