Hi all, Just wanted to find out if anyone else out there has tried the wii active personal trainer. Well I bought it and decided to try it and it was really a good workout. I'm going away to P.A. in July for a week and I will be taking this with me so I don't have to go looking for a gym. If you have it I would like to hear your thoughts on it.

I don't have the personal trainer but the wii boxing sure is an awesome workout...had a pretty good sweat going!!!

do you mean wii fitness coach? there are so many games out there now i may be missing something but haven't heard about person trainer(which if its something new or unheard of to me i must have it LOL).

i have wii fitness coach and its pretty good. you can choose to have no equipment or choose stability ball, weights, and step just whatever you have for that workout. it lets you chose your length of workouts but music and scenes are earned over the course of keeping up with the workouts in the game but there are choices for those as well. and lastly you can choose what you want to focus on. its not an overly hard workout(although if you hit i think the - button you can ask it to increase difficulty) but its enough to get a workout in especially if you are on the go and its hard for you to get your other workouts in.

hope that helps.

I have the wii active. it is fun and more challenging than anything else made for the wii. Has a lot of different workouts and levels. I am enjoying it. Not a Cathe workout, but a nice add on.

I have Jillian Michaels, Cardio Workout by golds gym, My fitness Coach, Wii Fit and of course the active. I enjoy all of them cause they bring something diffrent to the plate. Like said before they all are nice add on's.

UGH now i know what game you mean LOL i just got it recently but didn't notice the "personal trainer" on the box LOL just through it was called EA Sports Active.

i like this game alot. its not as hard as say cathe but its pretty fun way to workout. the band that came with it is to light so i use my tubing for the upper body workouts, lower body uses NO resistance and the cardio is unique and fun. i am particularly fond of the track segments. also love the build your own workout options b/c you can pick segments and exercises YOU want unlike fitness coach, which i do like, but don't like that i can't pick my exercises.

all you need is your wii, remote, nunchuck, and leg strap with the game. you can use other bands or tubes b/c the movement is monitored by the remotes obviously so you can basically use anything you can hold for resistance. its a bit touchy though so if you move slightly it will show on the screen that your aren't sitting still or your remotes are not facing the correct position for the exercises(have issues when doing curls or back rows)

overall its a great little workout game. i am wanting gold's gym cardio. i rented jillians and didn't care for it, i much rather have active.

I second the wii boxing! I tried it for the first time on Saturday (May 23rd) and I am just now getting over my lat soreness (4 days later) and I exercise regularly!! I don't think you realize how much you put into it until the next day, but it was fun!

I've been playing with the Gold's Gym cardio workout, it's all boxing really, and it's lots of fun. I like to use it as an add on like others mentioned, after another workout. Yesterday, I burned only 240 cal. doing meso 1 disc 1, but then burned another 200 just playing the video for a while, probably 35 minutes or so. I like it, because it gives me something fun and not too intense to just keep me moving more instead of sitting on the coach watching tv.
