I have this DVD and it is more advanced than Ripped, I has more reps, it is an endurance workout, body pump style. I have done Cathe Gym Styles and P90X and I got bulky. Slim & Lean is designed for those who do not want the bulk but want to lean out. I really like it, the ab section is very small, but you can make this workout as hard as you want by adding more weight. I have done it three times this week every other day, alternating with TJ for cardio.
There is a great feature to this DVD, there is a fitness model showing proper form at the begining of a new exercise, during the rest period. You can also pick the exercise from a menu and do just that body part.
Jari is very serious, she does not smile or crack any jokes.
The outfits are charcoal grey and white, the setting could have been improved with more color, the music is not the focus either, but the workout is high rep weight workout that can be tough, I used 40 pounds for legs and 30 for chest, to get through all the reps.
