Has anyone had an MRI?

I have had a CT scan too. I did fine for that except the pee problem. I thought I would burst before it was done. LOL!:)

I may be reading this too late - you may have already left for your MRI. If not, I would definitely ask for the valium. I didn't - what a mistake!

I had no idea I was claustrophobic until the MRI - I was fine with my head being completely inside the machine and my nose almost touching the top, but when they told me to put my arms next to my sides, then moved the machine so that I could barely move my fingers, I started to freak out. That, combined with how incredibly loud the test was, made for a very unpleasant experience. Valium would have made it bearable, I'm sure.

Hope all goes well and you get a good result.

Did you tell them you were claustrophobic? They have an open MRI machine that you can get scheduled in instead. That is what they did for me. I also brought my husband who held my hand the entire time and talked me through my panic stages.

Sabrina, I know I am too late but hope everything went well. Let's hope they can diagnose you quickly and it will be worth it all. Thoughts & prayers for you!

Hi Everyone!

I am back! I did fine. I had them put a rag over my eyes and I never opened them once. I also had to put in ear plugs, which meant no music. I was hoping to listen to some music. The machine was loud even with the ear plugs. I was in for a while and then they brought me out and hooked a small iv and gave me something then they sent me back in. I am not sure what it was but no I feel warm and not like doing a whole lot. I have to get my workout in later though. I think I am having chocolate chip cookies later. I kept thinking about putting them on the cookie sheet and watching them slowly melt in the oven. I could smell them! MMMMM! Then I thought about taking them off the cookie sheet and putting them on a plate. I then got a glass of ice cold milk. The cookies are still nice and warm and ooey and gooey. The chocolate is melty when I pull them apart and pop them into my mouth! I am chewing slowly and savoring every bite!! That kept me occupied in there for a while and drooling for some when I came out!! LOL!!! I thought about some other things too but none as tastey as that image. I will not have results for 48-72 hours, which means next week since it is Thursday. I was hoping it wouldn't take that long.

Thanks for Everyones thought!! It helped!

Oh Hooray that you are done and that you did so well Sabrina!!!!

And your imagining those cookies seemed to really do the trick. Only, now I bet you have a bunch of us drooling and thinking that maybe a couple cookies wouldn't be soooooooo bad.................
LOL

Please let us know when you get results!!
Good vibes still being sent your way................:)

Colleen & Becky--thank you, I thought I did pretty well too. I am just craving cookies!! LOL!! Maybe there will be others joining me tonight with the vision I put in their heads!!;-) Since it worked it was worth it to me. I will enjoy every single bite too. 48-72 (longer because of the weekend) seems so far away when you are waiting for results! I will let everyone know what they tell me when I find out.
