Has anyone gotten eyeliner tattoo?

OK, here's my update. It's been about 1.5 weeks since I've had it done & I'm happy but not thrilled. First off, holy mother of god did that hurt! It did take about 2 hours. I can't say it's as painful as the laser treatments I've had, but it was extremely uncomfortable & went on for a loooooooooong time.

It looked great when I left. It was dark & dramatic. I followed the instructions w/the sterile petroleum but a good deal of it flaked off & it's faded quite a bit since. I'm scheduled to go back for a touch up on Aug 2, but I might go sooner b/c I don't want it to completely disappear & have to go through it all over again.

Don't get me wrong--I still have an eyeliner tattoo. It's just not as dark & dramatic as I'd hoped.

Laura, I'm curious about how things are going for you now. I'm getting ready to schedule my first procedure appointment (had my consult this week) and it sounds like you're experiencing what I was told to expect at the start of things as far as it fading but then becoming vivid again as the skin heals, and then doing the second procedure like you're scheduled for.

Laura, did you bruise at all? My friend had it done a week or so ago ( and said it hurt like heck) and a few days after she looked like she had black eyes from a fight.

Better to err on the side of caution anyway, ya know? If it were TOO dark, you would have a problem. Making it darker isn't a problem. Good luck w/your follow-up. ;)

Good point Carol. I was thinking the same thing.

The fading has stopped & it still looks pretty good. I was down the shore last week & went without makeup almost the entire time. The touch up is next Thursday (god help me LOL), so I'll give you another update in 2 weeks.
